Yet she couldn’t help but sneak glances at her belly.

"I’ll inform them when I get back! Tomorrow, Zhang Yuan will come to pick you up!" Lin Xue nodded, pretending not to notice the granny’s gaze.

"Oh no, no need! The driver can take us there! You young ones can sleep a bit more! Newlyweds should enjoy every moment together! Don’t worry about us old ones! Hurry back now!" Granny waved emphatically.

"We’re off, Grandpa, Grandma!" Zhang Yuan nodded, greeted one last time, then led Lin Xue away.

"Sister-in-law Kang! Sister-in-law Kang! Is the tonic soup ready? Quickly let the young lord and lady take some!" Grandma suddenly remembered the tonic soup ordered since early morning.

The freshly married couple, having just heaved a sigh, saw Sister-in-law Kang hurriedly arrive, holding the tonic soup.

Lin Xue sighed inwardly, this old lady sure loves drama, now chasing them out just to send the tonic soup.

When Lin Xue and Zhang Yuan drove back, the younger siblings led by Lin Xia were waiting at the door.

Seeing the car returning, they rushed forward, with Lin Shan and Lin Chuan helping to open the gate.

Lin Xue alighted from the car "Why didn’t you wait inside in such cold weather?" She checked them individually for signs of frost.

"Not to worry, Xiao Feng and Xiao Cai fell asleep, that’s why we came out! We’re not afraid of the cold!" Lin Xia shook her head, lacking any self-awareness as the eldest, still acting like a leader of children.

"Come on inside!" Lin Xue ushered them all into the house "What brings you here?"

Lin Xia quickly darted forward "We miss you!"

Lin Xue raised an eyebrow and smiled "Miss me? I need to hear the truth!" She wasn’t convinced.

"Sis... the two aunts are urging mom to take them to the department store! We sneaked out!" Lin Yun hugged Lin Xue’s arm from the other side.

Bai Rumei’s three sisters were also there, joining them over.

Upon hearing this, Lin Xue thought, are they making another fuss? Haven’t they benefited enough and now want her mom to spend more on them? Just then, Zhang Yuan walked over after parking the car.

"Are train tickets easy to get?"

Lin Xue turned to take her siblings next door to their family home.
