The infuriated Zhang Yuan wasn’t going to hold back; he kicked so hard that her wound split open.

"You beast! Are you actually going to hit your father? Go ahead if you dare!" Zhang Haijun, already furious, was pushed to the brink of rage by Lin Cuifen’s constant crying and Zhang Ting’s accusations during the drive over. He swung again at Zhang Yuan.

Lin Cuifen was startled by the grandpa’s imposing demeanor but quickly reminded herself that it was the grandpa who hit her daughter’s face after all. Zhang Yuan couldn’t care about anything else and hurried forward to inquire about the situation.

"Fortunately, we managed to save the baby! This was too dangerous, the fetus hadn’t even stabilized, and this push nearly cost the pregnant woman her life! Extra care is needed in the future!" warned the doctor sternly.

"Thank God! Thank God! Many thanks to the doctor for the all-out rescue!" Mrs. Zhang Sr. clasped her hands in prayer.

At this point, the surrounding people began to perceive that there were more complexities to the situation.

"The pregnant woman should not be moved, arrange for her to be hospitalized! Bring her home once the fetus stabilizes!" added the doctor before reentering the operating room.

Lin Xue woke up to see Zhang Yuan, unkempt and hunched by her bedside; her heart ached immediately.

"Husband..." Her gentle call made Zhang Yuan immediately sit upright.

"Wife, you’re awake?"

"What about the baby?" Lin Xue’s first concern was for the baby in her womb, hurriedly asking anxiously.

"It’s fine! The baby’s fine now, don’t worry, wife!" Zhang Yuan comforted immediately, "The doctor said as long as you’re awake, everything’s okay. Do you still feel unwell anywhere? I’ll get the doctor!"

He hastily ran outside, and as the door opened, there was a large group of people waiting outside. Lin Xue, holding her head, realized this was a complete family mobilization, with Grandma, Grandpa, her parents, siblings, all apparently having cried, their eyes red.

The grandpa and Mrs. Zhang Sr. were also in the crowd, clearly showing signs of weariness.

Her hospital bed was surrounded by people, and Zhang Yuan brought in the doctor, "Grandma, I’ve arranged for those mother and daughter to be sent to the mental health facility!"

Lin Xue looked up at Zhang Yuan in shock, unsure about Lin Cuifen’s involvement.

Unaware of Lin Cuifen’s outburst at the operating room door, she asked, "Will the clinic accept patients with no mental illness?"
