The general idea was to attract the masters resting behind the portal, kill as many enemies as possible, while creating disarray in the middle of the enemy densely packed ranks!

William kept dashing around, jumping from one point to another, while the enemies tried to catch him without any success. William had no pattern, couldn't be predicted, and his trajectory always surprised the enemies!

On top of that, his true aim wasn't to kill, but to distract! That added more difficulties to his enemies. If he was aiming to kill them, he'd keep relentlessly attacking, not retreating. But this wasn't the case here.

William kept hitting the enemies whenever they tried to rally themselves, then retreated whenever they gathered up on him. His dash technique was so fast, so unpredictable, that made the enemies suffer just to try and direct attacks at him!

Thanks to his fast moves, most of the attacks missed, while creating gaps in their defences. Fang and Sloth never missed these chances, always appearing at the worst possible moments for their enemies, always killing a lot before retreating!

The strategy the enemy planned for many hours ago failed miserably on William, Fang, and Sloth's combined efforts. In less than an hour, the enemy lost close to one third of their elite numbers, while their foes didn't lose much!

"It's time," William noticed how far he advanced thanks to his strategy. And yet he knew this was just temporary. He was sure there was at least one capable master leading the enemy forces, the same master who planned the strategy William just crushed.

William was positive that the master would come up with a suitable counter move, one that would put unforeseen challenges in his way.

"It's better to keep pushing when you have the upper hand, right?" William didn't wait for his enemy to make a move, instead he looked back, and signaled for his friends to advance!

He already cleared enough area for dozens of formations to be laid down. These formations would act as a base, from which every inch he'd gain would be acquired under his control. "No matter what you think of, I'll keep adding more stakes to make it impossible to turn the table around!" William evilly grinned, as he returned to dash and attack!

Even if he gave the order to his friends and guild masters to advance and start preparations for the Humming Bird Formation, he still kept pressuring the enemies.

William knew some of the masters on his enemy side would recognise what his guild masters were doing. The Humming Bird Formation was something mythical in the upper world, so he wasn't worried from anyone recognising the formation. Yet he expected someone would recognise the pattern.

Lots of the enemy masters suffered and fell on the hands of his guild masters thanks to this weakening formation. So, it was easy to see what the enemy would do when they spotted the same infamous formation getting prepared in front of them.

That was why William kept attacking, to not give the enemy any room to act and target his friends. Still, this wasn't by far enough!

The enemy still routed around William and targeted his friends and guild masters. It seemed impossible for a single master to stop the assault from hundreds, even thousands. Or that was the enemy thought!

William wasn't a simple master. In fact, he excelled whenever he fought solo against an army! Whenever he noticed the different groups of masters flanking around him, he instantly took a bow he looted from a higher world master and then started to shoot his arrows!

The arrows flashed fast, and with the abnormally high levelled bow, they rained and exploded heavily over the heads of their targets.

*Boom!*

The sounds of the explosions were ear deafening, accompanied by faint tremors. William didn't need to check over the result of these arrows, as such explosions were so fierce to leave behind anyone alive!

"Next!" Seeing the explosions take over their friends' lives, the higher world masters stood in daze and shock, frozen in their places for a minute or so.

William already launched enough arrows to kill and stop in track most of the enemy masters targeting his friends. On top of that he did all that without even breaking his attack pattern!

He just used two tails, one to hold the bow, one to launch the arrows. There were still two more tails left for him to use, and he kept attacking and killing the enemies.

"He… He is a monster!"

"Run!"

Watching this scary performance from William invoked an unstoppable sense of dread inside the spirits of these masters. Many shouted in fear, turned around and ran, trying to stay away from this death reaper.

"Where are you going? Do you think I'll let you escape!" Yet as the enemy was focusing on William, another deadly threat approached, Fang and Sloth!

Sloth shouted, while Fang just used his lightning array, landing thick tongues of lightning over the heads of those scared masters.

The two led their group and acted swiftly, chasing behind all defenceless, running with their backs open, masters.

William smiled in content when he spotted what these old masters did. He was very pleased by what they did, "their timing… It was perfect!" he nodded before continuing his assault.

It didn't need a genius to realise the enemy was losing this war without doubt! The strategy to keep balance on the frontline while letting their masters rest was proved to be long term wrong!

"I'm curious to see what you'll try to do to stop me, and I know I'll crush it no matter what, so… Bring it on!" William shouted on the top of his lungs, attracting all attention on this decisive moment.

He was still waiting for the genius enemy leader to make a move. The more he gave such a tiger time, the harder it would be when that tiger moved!

William didn't want to give time to a strategist on such calibre, not to let him find an irritating plan to stop him. So, he used such a childish method, calling his foe out, and putting more mental pressure over him.
