Reincarnation Of The Strongest Spirit Master
Chapter 1316: The Enemy Is In Shambles!
"Coward!" Yet even when William tried to bait him out, that master didn't catch the bait. Instead, all that William got was utter silence, "if you want to play this game, then let me accompany you then!"
William didn't slow down what he was doing, instead he pushed himself further. Instead of staking tens of attacks on his tails and releasing them, he started to stake hundreds of them. The attacks he released were so devastating that even his allied masters had to retreat for a distance to avoid getting hit by accident!
Even when his friends called out for him, William didn't comply! He knew he got a chance to push that enemy leader out of the shadows, and he was determined not to let this chance slip by!
The only way he'd do that was by keeping that leader and enemy forces under the pressure, or even better, increase the intensity of it.
That was why he started to stack more attacks on his tails. On top of that, he started to use his arrows, grenades, and even flying weapons.
William was going all out for the first time in this war! Even when he was fighting Lingerie, he never did so. Even when he was fighting the Chimeras, he never did so!
"This kid… Why is he getting so serious so suddenly?!!" Sloth accompanied William long enough to realise how strong William was. He was sure William was hiding most of his strength in this war. So, seeing him unleash such power wasn't surprising for him.
What surprised him was the timing he decided to use most of his power, and the targets he decided to unleash hell upon.
Sloth didn't see anything challenging in the enemies they were facing. They were strong indeed, but they fell short from the scary enemies they fought at the start of this war, like Lingerie or her elite masters.
The actions and decisions of William left the ones knowing him best speechless and confused. Sloth wasn't the only one feeling the same, but he was the only one doubting William.
William's friends knew he did this for a proper reason. "If he decided to go all out, then it means something bad is going to happen, right?" Lara looked at the other girls, especially Sara and Berry, the two who knew William the longest. And these two nodded in agreement.
"We need to increase our pace then," Anjie looked around, "let's not wait for him to come and complete the formations. Spread out, let's prepare more formations."
The plan they agreed with William upon stated that they'd finish digging and William would come to finalise the formations. They wouldn't move to make new formations before he'd finish activating the ones they prepared, so they would use these as a base point.
But now things have changed. They didn't wait for William to do his part, and pushed forward, taking such risks of meeting enemies on such an open field.
Unlike what they expected, they weren't stopped by many enemies. Even those who tried to stop them weren't strong enough to threaten their lives or slow them down.
The main reason was thanks to the combined effort of William and the old masters. The synergy between their attacks left the enemy in shambles, unable to catch breaths, and only thinking about retreating.
So, it was normal to see the Fox Guild masters push forward without any resistance. William kept an eye over his friends' movement, prepared to intervene if needed. Yet his arrows weren't needed at all, and he decided to use his arrows on a far better target.
*Boom!* *Boom!* *Boom!*
Lots of explosions started to bang all over the place. William didn't launch his arrows over the close by enemies, instead he targeted those stationed far from the ongoing deadly clashes.
Be it the running fast masters, or the well-rested ones coming from behind the portal, William didn't exclude anyone. He kept raining down his arrows, while dashing around and releasing his deadly attacks over the around enemies.
It was clear that with time passing, the enemies would lose this war. The only way out of here was for them to retreat, regroup, and retry to take the portal area back!
William knew this was the most feasible solution for the enemy, but he was also sure that whoever was leading the enemies right now was well aware of the risks involved in such a decision.
William's intentions were clear, using the sealing and weakening formation as a base, he'd take control over the portal\\s surrounding area.
That meant whenever a new wave would arrive here, they would find themselves entrapped and unable to attack.
Even if he used such a tactic before at the start of the war and it failed, William was quite confident this time it would work magic. The reason it failed before was thanks to the huge number of masters coming out from the portal, making it impossible to entrap and weaken all these masters in one go.
But now, and after all this fighting, the enemy kept reducing the number of masters they sent from the other end of the portal. It was a logical move, as they knew how scary the bomb Lingerie dropped here.
William was confident this move would deprive the enemy from their strongest weapon since the start of this war, regular reinforcements!
"Come on, why are you taking such time to make a simple decision?!" Even if he was confident, he still was surprised by the cold-blooded master leading the enemy forces!
He thought the enemies would retreat, regroup, and give up the portal area in half an hour. But after an hour and half, the enemy didn't make such a move yet!
They were stubbornly fighting! William ran out of his deadly higher version arrows, so he had to use the old and primitive version. He even used a few grenades, before finally deciding to return to his friends' side.
