Reincarnation Of The Strongest Spirit Master
Chapter 1329: A Test
"Give me a minute," William was ignoring her on purpose. He knew he had no time to confine her in the guild, and he couldn't just drag her around when there was too much on stake. The only way was to let her stick around on her own, and he just found the right way to do it, arousing her curiosity!
As long as he didn't satisfy her questions, she would never stop pestering him and would stick around. That was why he kept ignoring her while working on processing the materials.
"You are ignoring me on purpose…"
"Why don't you make yourself useful?" when she was about to lose her patience, William interrupted her, "go and bring those bombs over."
"You are kidding, right?"
"Just do something and help me if you want to know everything," William simply shrugged, without even sparing a glance over her for once.
"Fine!" As she had no power to force him to speak, she finally resigned to his wish, "I will help you do whatever crazy plan you are doing right now, but in the end, you'll tell me everything."
"I hope you'll believe what I'll tell you by then," William threw another bait, making her pause in her tracks for a moment, before resuming walking towards the portal area.
The bombs were scattered around the portal. By sending her towards the portal like this was a test from William. He already got enough information about the Mystic Art masters. Even if she left right now, he wouldn't lose that much.
He knew how to find those masters in the upper realm. Despite the risk of Fox attacking them before William's ascension to the upper realm, he felt it wasn't that easy to get rid of those mighty masters in such a short time!
As he sent her to the portal, William kept a close eye on Becky. "Let's see if you are worthy of my trust or not," he muttered to himself, knowing that the possibility of Becky eavesdropping on him using her spirit sense was very high.
He kept an eye on her, and she did the same. Once she reached the portal, William could tell how hesitant she was. The portal was right in front of her, and she could easily pass through it, and reach the higher realm away from William.
And yet, Becky couldn't shake off this sense of uneasiness. She couldn't tell what exactly made her feel so, but something kept nagging her that she would definitely regret it if she stepped into that portal right now.
"Fck it!" After standing for ten whole minutes in front of the portal, she finally made up her mind, "you win you bastard! Are you happy now?!" she raised her middle finger towards William, and the latter couldn't help but evilly grin.
"I knew you won't leave," he chuckled, "now can you come over? We still have lots of things to do!"
"Tsk!" She had no other choice but to carry the bombs and bring them over to him. As she decided to stick around, she stopped her annoying attitude. In fact, her character changed dramatically, looking as if she was a totally new person!
She didn't speak a lot like before; she actually didn't speak at all! Even the way she stood was totally different. She now gave William the impression of a true leader, not a playful lady who lived on seduction and dirty tricks.
"Do you know how to forge?" William received the first batch of rings sent by Sloth and Fang's men. He realised this would take forever if he kept doing this alone, and so he decided to look for help.
"Of course I can, but this world's forging methods are way behind what I know…"
"You'll molten these materials like the way you do on the upper world," William interrupted her complaints, while explaining how to help him, "then you will process them using the Flying Feathers Smitty Technique, you know of that method?"
"How in the Fate world's name do you know such a method?!!" Her face changed when he mentioned that technique, yet William didn't stop impressing her.
He kept narrating a few other methods that were only used and well known in the upper realm. They weren't that much of elaborative or secretive methods, but they were all well-known and had their prestige and reputation in the forging world!
"I can tell you, if you don't explain, I'll definitely go and see your fate!" she shook her head in amazement, "you are full of surprises, for a young master from a lower realm!"
"If you seek your death then do it," William shrugged, "I'll leave this part to you. I have lots of stuff to do."
William gave her lots of rings, filled with tons of materials. When she examined, she found all of these came from the upper realm. "If you need help, I also have lots of rings with materials I don't need!"
"..." just before he would walk away, she said these enticing words. He froze in place as it hit him like thunder. She was a cardinal from the upper realm, and she ran off after almost all of her comrades died thanks to a deadly backlash. He could only imagine how vast the materials, gears, elixirs, and other stuff that she had.
"Sure, I need all the help I can get," William turned to look at her like he was looking at a delicious meal, "give me what you can spare, ok?"
"You are freaking me out," she couldn't help but laugh, "at least I knew your soft spot, hehehe!"
"Great minds think alike, hehehe," both of them laughed while William walked with lots of rings. The rings were filled with tons of stuff as he imagined.
Becky started her role as a helper, while William began finalising the molted materials. He had to refine many herbs, extract their essence, then process these and mix a few together to get the result he wanted.
