CHAPTER 164: HERE IT STARTS

Logan carefully reached out and plucked the Spirit Nectar with both hands.

He held it with extreme caution, like handling a fragile gem. Then, from his pocket, he took out a pouch and gently placed the fruit inside.

After securing it, he looked around once more.

The place where he had fallen... and the place which brought him a huge fortune.

It was was time to leave.

Logan slowly walked back the way he came. After a few turns, he returned to the exact cracked patch where he had dropped through.

He crouched low like a spring, his knees flexing.

And then...

Whoosh!

In one smooth jump, he soared up and landed back in the clearing.

Without wasting a second, he dashed toward his horse. Untying the reins, he mounted it swiftly and pulled the leather straps tight.

The horse reared, letting out a sharp whinny and then took off, racing across the forest trail straight toward Solvane.

Nearly two hours later...

Logan finally arrived at the Hunter Guild gate.

He got down from the horse and tied it carefully near the stables. Then he walked straight toward the reception desk.

But on the way...

He bumped into someone familiar.

"Aiden!" Gideon looked surprised.

After Melissa got injured, no one from the team had seen Logan properly. Even though Logan had only recently joined, his complete disappearance left a slight sting on everyone’s heart. At the very least, he could’ve come once to check on Melissa.

"Gideon," Logan said quickly. "I’m really sorry for not showing up at all in these past few days. I had something important to deal with."

Although Gideon hadn’t said anything about it yet, he knew that his behavior was completely unexpected and came off as quite cruel. But he couldn’t exactly explain the real reasons to Gideon.

Hearing Logan’s words, Gideon felt a bit relieved.

Even though he couldn’t imagine what kind of task could keep someone away while a teammate was injured, Logan’s eyes and voice made it clear...

The voice, the guilt, the sincerity—it was all real.

He genuinely felt sorry.

Besides, Jessi had already mentioned that Logan had visited Melissa with fruits the very night she got injured.

"It’s alright," Gideon said after a pause. "Were you out on a raid or something?"

"No. I was just waiting until our whole team was ready again," Logan replied calmly. "And training. So next time... I won’t have to face a situation like last time ever again."

Gideon blinked.

And then...

Something shifted.

Just two words...

’our team’

but it touched Gideon’s heart.

Until now, everyone had assumed Logan joined them temporarily. That he’d eventually move on. But now... Gideon realized Logan truly saw this as his party too.

"Okay. But don’t push yourself too hard," Gideon said, nodding.

Then, as if remembering something, he added, "Oh right. We have a new member now. A healer. His name is Raphael."

Logan’s eyes lit up slightly with relief. "That’s great news. Having a healer will help a lot in our next raid."

No matter how strong a hunter was...injuries could come anytime. A healer changed everything. It gave room for mistakes. For survival.

"Yeah. Do you want to meet him now?" Gideon offered.

"Not right now," Logan said politely. "Don’t mind but I just have something urgent to take care of. I won’t be available for a few days. But once I’m done, I’ll be back soon." Logan explained.

"Alright. Good luck with... whatever it is. See you soon then."

"Thanks. And take care of Melissa too."

With that, Logan parted ways and headed toward the reception desk.

"Elizabeth." Reached there, he called for her.

She was reading a scroll when she heard the voice. Looking up, she saw Logan.

"Aiden. How can I help you? Is your solo training going well?"

"Yeah. It’s going fine," Logan nodded. "But I’m here for something else this time. Can you please inform the guildmaster that I’ll be away for a few days. And I won’t be able to attend the morning training sessions with him. Please explain to him that it’s urgent. I really need to go."

He could’ve gone to Ali himself. But he was in a hurry and barely holding back his excitement.

"Okay, sure. Not a problem at all," Elizabeth said with a smile.

Logan nodded in thanks.

After that, Logan took his leave from the Hunter Guild and started walking toward the inn.

But before heading upstairs, he stepped into Delicia Tavern.

He hadn’t eaten anything since breakfast that morning.

As soon as he entered, Sylvie spotted him.

She walked over with her usual smile. "Welcome back!"

"I’ll take something to eat. But make it a parcel," Logan said.

"Alright! Just wait a moment," she replied and walked inside.

Logan sat at an empty table, waiting quietly. Within minutes, Sylvie returned with a warm parcel.

"Here."

"Thanks a lot," Logan said, handing over the coins. She accepted the payment, and he offered a grateful nod before heading out.

He walked upstairs to his room.

Once inside, Logan locked the door and took a quick shower. Then he sat on the floor, opened the food parcel, and finished his meal in silence.

After cleaning everything up, he sat down cross-legged in the center of the room.

He took a deep breath.

And then slowly, carefully—

He opened his pouch.

From inside, he pulled out the Spirit Nectar.

It was glowing like a moonlit crystal. Even though it was just a fruit...it looked divine.

Logan calmed his mind.

And without wasting another moment.....

He consumed it.

The moment it entered his body...

BOOM!

A wave of spiritual energy surged through his whole body like a flood. It felt so dense and pure.

Logan immediately closed his eyes and focused. He activated the void soul sutra method.

His veins surged. His dantian lit up. His entire being buzzed. That huge amount of spiritual energy slowly started to aid him in his cultivation by elevating his level.

"Here it starts," he thought.
