CHAPTER 89: THE REAL FIGHT BEGINS

The Orc’s axe was almost there.

It was just inches away from slicing off Rowan’s head.

But then—

A small figure came flying through the air with a powerful double-leg kick. Both of his legs slammed squarely into the Orc’s face.

Boom!

The Orc flew backward. Its head scraped against the ground while the rest of its huge body stayed in the air. Then—

Thud!

It crashed down with a heavy slam, sliding nearly thirty meters before stopping like a giant slab of iron dropped from the sky.

The figure who had landed that blow touched down lightly on the ground.

Everyone turned to look.

The Orc’s sudden fall had even frightened the goblins and dire wolves.

Rowan’s eyes widened in shock. Not as much as the others—but still enough to show he wasn’t expecting this.

Because the one who had knocked the orc flying was none other than.....

Logan!

"Logan! What are you doing here?" Rowan shouted. "I told you to get to safety with Daliah! Where is she? Please tell me she’s okay."

Even in the middle of battle, Rowan’s first concern was his sister.

"She’s completely safe," Logan replied calmly, eyes still fixed on the Orc. "Mr. Sean took her back."

"Then why didn’t you leave with them?" Rowan asked, his voice still tight with worry. "It’s too dangerous for you to be here!"

Logan gave a small nod but didn’t look away from the enemy. "We can talk later, Prince. Right now... we have more pressing matters."

Without waiting for a reply, he sprinted forward.

The Orc was already getting back up.

It clenched its fists. Its muscles rippled with power. Its eyes burned with fury. The air around it seemed heavier, hotter—like it was boiling with rage.

Logan charged straight toward it.

The Orc roared and rushed forward too.

Both moved at full speed, heading right for each other like colliding storms.

At the last second, Logan jumped diagonally upward to reach the Orc’s face, as it was too tall to fight from the ground. The ground cracked beneath his foot under the pressure.

Mid-air, he used wind magic to boost his speed even more.

Then—he triggered gravity magic.

A heavy force slammed down on the Orc, slowing its steps and lowering its center of balance.

Lightning flickered around Logan’s right fist. It crackled and sparked like a thundercloud packed into a single punch.

Now! he thought.

He drove the lightning-charged fist straight toward the Orc’s chest.

But the Orc wasn’t that slow.

Though affected by gravity, it was still quick. It roared and threw a punch of its own.

Both fists collided.

BOOM!

A massive shockwave exploded from the impact.

One figure went flying through the air like a broken doll.

This time, it was Logan.

He smashed into a nearby building. Stone and dust burst out as he disappeared into the rubble.

"LOGAN!" Rowan yelled.

He stepped forward, ready to rush after Logan and check on him.

But he couldn’t.

The goblins and dire wolves were already on the move.

With one hunter dead and Logan down, only four defenders remained.

And now, hundreds of these goblins and dire wolves charged at them with savage fury. They weren’t even chasing civilians anymore. Their eyes were locked on the fighters.

They wanted to wipe out every threat.

But the Orc didn’t even spare a glance at those four.

It had only one target.

Logan.

The beast marched slowly toward the broken building where Logan had crashed. Its steps were heavy, making the ground tremble slightly with every step.

It wanted to confirm that Logan was gone for good.

The Orc stopped near the collapsed wall and lowered its head to look inside.

That’s when it happened.

Crackle!

A sudden flash of lightning lit up the interior.

A bright, buzzing sphere of lightning shot out from the hole.

The orc grunted and swung its axe.

CLANG!

The lightning orb was deflected.

It changed its direction and slammed into a wooden wagon nearby.

BOOM!

The explosion sent flaming wood and sharp metal flying in all directions.

The Orc didn’t flinch.

It began to raise its axe again—preparing for its next attack.

And suddenly.....

Another strike came.

But this time...

It wasn’t a spell.

It was a punch.

A blur burst from the ruins.

Logan shot out like a cannonball, his right fist glowing with compressed air. The wind around it howled with pressure.

The Orc barely had time to react. It raised its axe to block.

Bam!

The punch landed.

Though the Orc used its axe to defend the blow, the impact still sent it skidding backward. Its heels dug into the ground, leaving a deep trail of torn earth. It finally stopped after being pushed back ten meters.

Dust and smoke curled into the air behind it.

The other four defenders were still locked in battle. Goblins and wolves kept them busy with non-stop attacks. They couldn’t look away—not even for a second.

But Rowan relaxed just a little.

That explosion, that punch—it meant Logan was still standing.

At least for now.

Logan walked out of the rubble, breathing heavily. His clothes were torn. Blood dripped from his knuckles.

He wasn’t hiding anymore.

He was using everything.

His internal energy increased his strength by leaps and bounds. And the boost from mana increased both his strength and speed even more.

But even with that...

He couldn’t gain the upper hand.

The Orc was just too strong.

"Damn," Logan thought. "To think I’d meet such an opponent here of all places. So much for hiding my strength until I’m ready."

He clenched his fists tighter.

"Even if I give it everything I have... can I really bring this thing down?"

The orc let out a deafening roar. Its rage poured from its mouth like smoke from a furnace. It wasn’t defeated—but it also hadn’t crushed Logan. And that made it mad.

It raised its head and howled—loud and long.

It was a challenge.

A declaration.

The real fight had just begun.
