Reincarnation Paradise Park
Chapter 354 - 55: Rush to the Rooftop and Take Him Out
CHAPTER 354: CHAPTER 55: RUSH TO THE ROOFTOP AND TAKE HIM OUT
The corner of Su Xiao’s mouth twitched. He had really learned something today; there were all sorts of oddballs in Reincarnation Paradise.
As he quickly reloaded his bullets, two figures dashed towards the drawbridge. He recognized one of them, the Cowboy Hat Man.
The Crazy Healer and Cowboy Hat Man swiftly dashed across the drawbridge, ready to enter the Justice Tower. Su Xiao finished reloading, raised his gun, and fired at the Crazy Healer.
Ding.
The shot hit the scythe in Crazy Healer’s hand, and Crazy Healer rushed into the Justice Tower with quick strides.
Five people had already entered the Justice Tower, but Su Xiao didn’t care. He couldn’t stop contractors from entering the Justice Tower; he could only try to reduce the number, as the Netherworld blueprints were in his possession.
Following the two were a dozen contractors, who were also about to charge into the Justice Tower.
Bang, bang, bang...
Su Xiao fired rapidly, quickly emptying the twenty-bullet clip. Eight contractors fell to the ground, and the others entered the Justice Tower.
After reloading the Spider Queen’s bullets, Su Xiao glanced back. Kalifa had already left, indicating CP9 must have gathered.
Using the scope to survey the surroundings, there were no contractors in the direction of the Main Island. Some less powerful contractors were all gathered on the Front Island, where they could also reap decent benefits. Although they couldn’t complete the task, the gains there were enough to offset the punishment.
Ring, ring, ring...
The alarm beside Su Xiao rang; the time for the Optical Infrared Detector 8x (Active) was about to run out.
There were still some Scarlet Cards uncollected on the Main Island and the drawbridge, but Su Xiao didn’t have time for that now.
Hurried footsteps could be heard; someone was rushing to the rooftop. A total of seven people, those contractors from the Straw Hat Pirate Camp.
Su Xiao lit a cigarette, sat on a stone platform on the rooftop, and took out a white cloth to wipe the gun barrel of the Spider Queen.
His gaze shifted to Bubute Ni; Bubu Wang was nowhere to be seen at the moment.
Looking around, Su Xiao was petrified by Bubu Wang’s hiding method.
To be precise, Bubu Wang wasn’t exactly hiding now; it stood at the pinnacle of the Justice Tower, head slightly raised, in a howling-at-the-sky pose, resembling a lifelike statue, motionless.
Fortunately, there was no wind today, or Bubu Wang’s fur would betray its presence.
Bubu Wang’s concealment level was high-end; if not for his daily company with Bubu Wang, Su Xiao would think it was a realistic wolf statue.
Bubu Wang was utterly motionless, not even blinking. It couldn’t find a hiding spot, so it resorted to feigning a statue, which was exhausting.
The footsteps from downstairs were getting faster; seven contractors rushed to the rooftop with various weapons, both close combat and ranged ones. Among them, a female healer bore blood on her face.
The healer’s eyes were filled with hatred; her lover had been headshot by Su Xiao.
"Was that sniper fun for you, you son of a b|itch?"
An old man glared at Su Xiao with fierce eyes, holding a bow and arrow. He didn’t even have time to draw and shoot previously.
"Don’t kill him first; capture and torture him, make him hand over all his equipment, especially that sniper rifle."
"Yeah, beat him half-dead, and chop off his hands and feet."
The contractors encircled Su Xiao in a semicircle. Su Xiao chuckled lightly; the expected scenario had unfolded. These contractors assumed he was a sniper and took the initiative to engage him in close combat.
Putting away the Spider Queen, Dragon Slash appeared in his hand.
Dragon Slash let out a crisp ring; a purple radiance flickered across the blade’s edge, Enhanced to +8, Dragon Slash was abnormally sharp, its cold gleam intimidating.
"This guy... seems a bit unusual."
A contractor stepped back; what sniper carried such sharp valor?
The bloodied healer was stunned, suddenly feeling the urge to turn and flee.
Holding Dragon Slash, Su Xiao exuded an unusually sharp demeanor, observing the contractors with interest.
Activating Blue Steel Shadow, pale blue arcs of electricity surged along the blade of Dragon Slash.
"Few actively engage me in close combat; disregarding other factors, your courage is commendable."
Su Xiao slowly approached the contractors, who now felt like the tables had turned dramatically. Wasn’t this supposed to be a close-quarters inept sniper? How did the scene suddenly change to facing a close combatant? Did they switch opponents?
Glancing around, there was no one else; the rooftop was devoid of others except a wolf statue, although it resembled a Siberian Husky~.
"Didn’t you want to engage me in close quarters? Let’s start then."
Su Xiao lunged at the ground, instantaneously appearing before a contractor. The contractor looked utterly bewildered, yet moved his hands instinctively, raising two iron forks in defense.
Su Xiao raised his long knife high, Dragon Slash drawing a blue arc in the air.
Ding, whoosh!
The two iron forks in the contractor’s hands snapped in response, and a spray of blood gushed from the contractor’s chest.
Beads of blood floated in front of Su Xiao, who sidestepped the blood bead, acrobatically evading an arrow while reaching another contractor’s side.
Whoosh.
The blade flashed, and a head flew; Su Xiao immediately shifted his target.
Weaving between several contractors like a tiger amidst a flock of sheep, on a rooftop with limited space, the contractors were doomed unless they leaped off.
A mage died the most stifling death. In reality, he wasn’t weak, but being too close to Su Xiao, if he had maintained distance, killing him would have taken Su Xiao more time.
The sound of blades slicing through flesh echoed repeatedly, prompting the contractors to flee.
Three minutes later, the rooftop was stained with blood; such is the nature of battles among contractors, either you die or I perish.
The healer seeking revenge against Su Xiao was crawling on the ground, one arm severed, a half-meter-long wound on her back.
"Cough, cough..."
The healer coughed up blood, her lips trembling—not just her lips, her whole body was shaking. Now she knew clearly, this was a ruse; the person on the rooftop wasn’t a sniper but a Close Combat Expert, and they were foolish enough to confront him up close actively.
"Please... spare me."
Su Xiao walked slowly to the healer, looking at her: "Not planning revenge anymore? Begging your enemy for mercy."
"No... no more revenge, I can give you anything you want, equipment, Paradise coins, I can even sleep with you, just spare my life."
Su Xiao’s eyes flickered, and a glimmer of joy appeared on the healer’s face.
"I refuse."
The joy on the healer’s face froze, and she was met by a sharp and straight long knife.
After killing the last enemy, Su Xiao flicked the Dragon Slash in his hand, creating a semi-circular splash of blood on the ground.
He picked up two Scarlet Cards. Out of the seven, only two Scarlet Cards dropped, which made Su Xiao sigh. Since he drew the Spider Queen, he believed there was no such thing as "chief’s fortune."
But now, it seemed his Great Chief’s black hand was intermittent, sometimes his luck was terrible.
On the rooftop opposite, the Straw Hat Pirates witnessed Su Xiao slaughter seven contractors firsthand.
Luffy and Zoro both wore serious expressions, while Sanji didn’t look too pleased; Usopp hid behind cover in fright, and Nami was nauseated by the sight of so much blood and bodies.
Although they were a pirate group, Nami and Usopp had never seen such brutality.
Su Xiao patted Bubu Wang’s head, casting a glance at the Straw Hat Pirates. He wasn’t planning to engage them for now.
Perched on the rooftop edge, Su Xiao had already cleaned up the ordinary contractors. Now he just needed to wait, wait for the opportune moment.
He wouldn’t forget there was still a violator waiting for him to deal with, and he already knew where that violator was. That guy was smart, not venturing near the vicinity of the Justice Tower.
