    I didn''t want to hide this fact since I didn''t want him to wish for something unreachable. I didn''t want Meng Bao''s story and I to be messed up just because of some stupid misunderstanding, especially if it included a third party that knew nothing, like Alex.

    Alex paused for a good while, then he said, "Is that really your decision, or is it Mengmeng who forced you to marry him?"

    Alex suddenly chuckled, but I could sense that he was sad and maybe disappointed with my decision as well.
