CHAPTER 176: CHAPTER 175- GOLEM

In the story, Allen takes down the Juggler all by himself.

The summoner? She escaped. And it was all thanks to the barrier specialist.

But now that Allen wasn’t strong enough to face the danger on his own, Adrian had thought of everything.

His plan was tight, clean—flawless. No risk to his side.

Ariana could handle the monsters. She wasn’t a seventh-rank in name only.

And with Adrian handling the mole, it should’ve been checkmate.

He believed he had changed the canon.

That he’d dodged every danger. That he knew this world better.

But he was wrong.

So damn wrong.

"Guh!" Adrian dropped to one knee, gasping.

The wound in his stomach twisted—burning from the inside.

This wasn’t normal.

"Oh my, now that’s a good reaction," Abraham said, head tilting like a curious bird.

Rylie rushed in from behind, thinking he saw an opening—

CRACKLE

A thunderbolt lashed from the ceiling. He barely rolled away in time.

"Shit!" he growled, eyes wide.

Abraham glanced back lazily.

"Stay out of this, kid," he said, voice calm and cold.

"Unless you want this school to remember you as the idiot who died for nothing."

Rylie froze, teeth clenched.

Above him, a glowing yellow magic circle spun like a halo of death.

Get close, and it’d burn him to ash.

Adrian’s hands trembled as he knelt, his face pale and soaked with sweat.

Abraham turned back to him.

"You have one choice," he said, stepping closer.

"Take my hand. Join us. You’ll live—and finally learn the truth.

You’re not just some sword-swinger, Adrian. You’re more than that. You’re—"

THA!

A shot rang out.

Abraham’s words died mid-sentence.

Adrian had pulled the trigger—on himself.

A moment later, the wound vanished.

Adrian growled, "You shouldn’t have come here."

Without warning, he leapt back and hurled a glowing orb straight at Abraham.

Abraham’s eyes narrowed. He raised his hand, ready to blast it out of the air—

But the orb cracked mid-flight.

FLASH!

A blinding burst of light erupted, forcing everyone in the hall to shield their eyes.

Out of the light... something emerged.

Abraham blinked rapidly, squinting at the shape now standing between them.

"A golem?" he muttered, surprised. Then chuckled.

"Didn’t think a plain old teacher had tricks like that."

He glanced at Adrian and smirked.

"Guess I underestimated you."

Two massive, translucent gauntlets materialized around Adrian’s arms, crackling with energy.

He raised them and said coldly,

"Let’s see how long you can keep that smug face."

The golem’s golden eye gleamed—then it charged.

BOOM!

The floor cracked under its weight as it lunged forward like a juggernaut.

Abraham grinned and fired off a volley of lightning bolts.

CRACK-CRACK-CRACK!

But as the magic struck the golem, it didn’t even flinch.

His grin faded.

’The hell...? Magic resistant?’

Clicking his tongue, he pumped mana into his legs and jumped back just as the golem’s massive fist came crashing down—

DOOM

The entire hall trembled.

Students screamed as the shockwave knocked many off their feet.

Abraham clenched his jaw, then quickly conjured a water platform under him to stay airborne.

"Quite a troublesome creature you’ve tamed," Abraham said, arms calmly tucked behind his back.

Adrian didn’t answer. He simply cocked his fist.

The golem mimicked him, pulling back its own arm—then hurled a punch so strong the air itself split around it.

The sheer pressure knocked Abraham off balance.

And just as he hit the floor—

DOOOOM

The golem stomped, shaking the entire gym.

Shockwaves rolled outward. Students stumbled. The walls cracked.

Abraham cursed as he crashed down, unable to catch himself mid-fall.

The moment he hit the ground, the golem charged.

The Acolyte’s eyes sharpened.

"So you want a fight, huh?" he growled, veins bulging. "Fine by me."

He sprang up with a burst of power.

Adrian braced. He stepped forward, twisting his hips—driving his fist forward and the Golem punched in sync.

BOOOOM

The two punches collided in a deafening explosion.

Adrian reeled as his arm was knocked backward, force tearing through his bones like a whip crack.

His eyes widened.

He hadn’t expected that.

Abraham stood steady, grinning as he flexed his hand.

"Impressive. I thought you’d shatter like glass."

Adrian’s mind raced.

He’d underestimated him.

Not every magician relied on spells alone—some trained their bodies to monstrous levels.

And Abraham...

He was one of them.

The golem charged like a thunderclap—fist raised, eyes glowing gold.

Abraham smirked.

He spread his arms, and the ground beneath him surged with water magic.

SPLASH

A wave burst upward, wrapping around his legs and hurling him into the air.

BOOM!

The golem’s punch missed and smashed into the floor, cracking tiles and sending debris flying.

Mid-air, Abraham spun and clapped his hands—

Three ice shards formed instantly and launched downward.

The golem raised its arms—

TING! TING! TING!

The ice shattered on impact, doing nothing.

"Thay resistance..." Abraham muttered as he landed lightly on a floating water disc.

He clicked his fingers.

ZAP!

A bolt of lightning shot down, slamming into the golem’s shoulder.

It staggered—just a bit—but didn’t fall.

It rushed forward again, faster this time.

Abraham jumped sideways, using wind magic to boost himself like a jet, barely dodging the swing.

The golem spun, sweeping its massive arm in a wide arc.

Abraham raised a barrier—

SHATTER!

It broke instantly, and the punch clipped his side.

He winced but caught his footing on a water platform.

"You hit hard," he muttered, blood dripping from his mouth.

"Let’s see how you handle this."

He thrust his palm forward—

A fire rune exploded at his feet and a wave of flame roared from below.

The golem didn’t stop.

It walked through the fire, charred and cracked—but eyes still burning bright.

Abraham narrowed his eyes.

He formed a glowing whip of lightning and lashed it forward.

CRACK!

The whip wrapped around the golem’s leg, sending volts surging through it.

The golem jerked—but didn’t fall.

Instead, it grabbed the whip with one arm—then yanked.

Abraham’s body flew toward it.

He growled, releasing the spell mid-air and flipping back.

The moment his feet hit the ground, he clapped again.

KRAKOOM!

A bolt of raw lightning exploded down from the ceiling, blasting the golem’s chest.

The creature froze in place, smoke rising from its body.

Then—

THUD THUD THUD

It marched forward again.

Abraham wiped sweat from his brow.

"This thing doesn’t quit..."

The golem lunged with a punch.

Abraham ducked, slid beneath its legs, and summoned a freezing wave behind him.

Ice climbed up the golem’s legs, locking its knees.

Seizing the chance, Abraham jumped up and drove his glowing gauntlet straight into the golem’s face—

CRACK!

The eye flickered.

But then—

WHAM!

The golem’s arm snapped free and swung back, slamming Abraham mid-air.

He hit the ground, coughing hard, armor sparking and cracked.

"Nice combat skills you’ve got there," the Acolyte said, rising from the ground—seemingly unharmed.

"But..."

His eyes drifted toward Adrian, who was panting heavily, barely able to stay upright.

"...you clearly can’t keep this up for long."

Adrian clenched his jaw.

He was right.

Controlling the golem drained him more than he expected. Every second it moved felt like another weight on his chest. His legs trembled, and his vision blurred.

At least the students had been evacuated.

Now, all he had to do was survive—get out of here alive.

But how?

’This place is a damn landmine...’ Adrian thought, glancing around.

He knew better than to underestimate Abraham. That man could lay a dozen lethal traps in the time it took to blink.

Trying to step out of this gym without triggering something felt suicidal.

He considered teleportation—but just as he focused his energy—

"Don’t worry, Mister Adrian," Abraham said suddenly, voice eerily calm.

"I won’t trouble you anymore."

Adrian froze.

Then he saw it—

The Acolyte raised the blood-stained dagger he had used earlier. Adrian’s blood still clung to the blade, fresh and crimson.

"I got what I came for," Abraham said with a twisted smile.

"Next time we meet..."

His grin widened.

"I’ll bring good news. So wait for me~"

And with that, he turned, vanishing into the shadows.

Adrian’s heart pounded.

Something told him this wasn’t over.

Not even close.
