Revenge Wears Red Lipstick
Chapter 21: Who’s A Whore?
CHAPTER 21: WHO’S A WHORE?
Dante stepped into the office of Jaime Lorenzo in the Unity Tower where most offices of the politicians allocated to Lexora were situated.
The office was wide. His awards were hung up on a shelf with his medals and all. The frame of their president, Kellen Virelli was hung up on the wall behind Jaime’s seat which was mandatory for everyone to have in their office.
"What brings you here Dante?" Jaime asked, looking up from his desk with an eerily calm expression on his face that had Dante narrow his eyes at him. "Did your father ask you to come here to execute me like he did with the others?"
Dante took his seat opposite the man.
"You need to withdraw from the election," Dante demanded, earning him a chuckle from Jaime.
Jaime was a man in his fifties, and he had a bald head with no beard in sight. His physique was lean yet strong, making him look younger than his years.
"Was that what he told you to come tell me?" He chuckled. "You’re such a puppet to that old man of yours."
Dante clenched his fist. He didn’t want to be here, and he didn’t want to carry out the plans his father had instructed him to do.
But if he didn’t...he gritted his teeth.
"That brother of yours kept saying that Marcus would kill me, just like he killed his other opponents."
"Since you know so much, why are you still biting more than you can chew?" Dante questioned.
A lot of people had withdrawn from the election due to the information they heard about his father from the underground, which wasn’t exactly a lie.
His father was a man hungry for power. He was so hungry that he could even put the lives of his family at risk just to get what he wanted.
Dante couldn’t resist him because of their deal, which gave him even more leverage.
"Because I was expecting your father to come here in person to talk to me, but I guess he’s so scared of me he had to send his messenger," Jaime spouted bitterly while Dante sighed.
He stood up from the seat. The conversation wasn’t going anywhere.
"You should leave the country as soon as you can, else I might have to do the last thing I want to do," he warned.
Jaime only gave him a stoic expression as Dante turned to leave.

It was another day of training in the Veila building. Megan wasn’t around, but her manager was the one putting the girls into tasks like correcting their walks and their poses.
The person who gave her a hard time was Bethany. Even when the manager and the photographer told her she was doing it all wrong, she argued she was right.
Katherine covered her face in shame. It has taken her a while also to get her catwalk right. She had to swallow her pride a little bit and watch former videos of Eva walking on stage to get it right, and now Bethany was making things hard for her.
Katherine sighted Alisha with Maxine, her eyes narrowing at her for the shortest while.
It was released just last night that she and Dante were a married couple. As she stared hard at Alisha’s face, she remembered she’d seen her somewhere before—at her wedding.
Dante had arrived with someone in a wheelchair. That someone was Alisha.
’Was she in an accident or something?’ She wondered.
However, that wasn’t her main issue. Alisha was being backed by someone like Dante. If Bethany or she tried to get her eliminated, Dante would see to it that the person behind it was found, and then her name would be dragged through the mud. And the worst thing that could happen is Alisha replacing her.
Katherine took a deep breath, hoping she was overthinking the situation.
She decided to speak with Alisha.
"Hi! Congrats—I saw the news. I didn’t know you were the one I met during my wedding," she said, a big smile on her lips that exposed her pearly white teeth. "I thought Dante was...gay," she whispered as she said the last word.
Alisha smiled at Katherine. "It’s obvious he’s not since I’m married to him."
Katherine nodded. "We’re the only married women in here so let’s be friends." Dante was filthy rich so Katherine wanted to enjoy some benefits by being friends with her.
Maxine scoffed loudly but didn’t say anything audible.
"Let me guess, you did something behind closed doors for him to have you in his bed, right?" They suddenly heard.
It was Bethany. Her pink hair was styled in a pretty ponytail, making her look like she’d just come out of a fancy cartoon featuring a princess.
"Excuse me?" Alisha asked, cocking an eyebrow in confusion.
Bethany laughed out loud as if Alisha had just cracked a joke.
"You must be kidding me if you think I’ll believe that both of you met and fell in love at first sight. I mean, look at you, you’re just a nobody. You’re an orphan who is suddenly married to Dante De Rossi? Come on now, give me a tip."
If they weren’t people watching them at that moment, Katherine could have strangled Bethany on instinct. She’d completely ruined her plans to befriend Alisha.
They waited for Alisha to get angry. Unfortunately for them, she’d experienced such criticisms the previous night.
Alisha turned to Katherine. "I didn’t know your friend was so empty-headed."
A smile bloomed on Maxine’s face.
"You’re a renowned model with millions of fans. If people found out that you keep such a senseless person close to you as a friend, that might taint your clean reputation," she added.
Katherine was about to part her lips to apologize when Bethany interrupted her.
"Don’t think you can talk to me like that just because you’re married to a billionaire. I bet you slept your way into his life, you whore!!" Bethany yelled, loud enough for everyone to hear now.
