"Shut up." Takumi yelled at the loud sound he thought was his alarm clock.

*Smack*

A fist hit the nightstand with a loud band, cracking the wood.

"Wh-" *groan* "what the fuck?" He sat up sluggishly, with a yawn. The sound that's been annoying him so much is actually from the system giving him a notification. He wave them away, "i can look at them later."

A slow realization came to him soon, as he just now remembered what happened. Eyes heading to the clock, it was late midnight.

"Damn, I slept for a whole day ?" He cranked his neck a couple of times.

[False, user has been in an unconscious state for the last 48 hours]

"TWO DAYS ?!" His body shot up into a stand. Now fully rested, he dashed out of the place, almost forgetting to return the room keys on his way out.

"Nue." Takumi jumped onto the back of his bird, they took off as he looked past all the things he missed.

"What's with all the notifications, man ?" The screen he searched was filled with warnings coming from the system.

[System has tried to give a warning continuously but the user was being unresponsive]

"So what is this 'foreign activity' ?"

[Alert: A foreign entity has breached dimensional protocols. It is not native to this world]

"A foreign entity? You mean like a demon, alien, or something worse?" He asked.

[Classification: Unknown. Enity has yet to breach completely, but there is a wave of energy. Analysis showed that the means by which this entity travels is through a gate. Particularly, a System gate]

"…Another System? You're saying my world is intruded by another user ?"

[There is a chance. For the lack of information, there couldn't be an exact conclusion as of yet]

"There's another entity than a user that could world travel ?" His mind quickly adapted to the information that was given.

[Many gods or any inter-dimensional being can travel in various ways, but the system gates are available for a few. The users are among them]

[It is rewriting local rules of causality. Reality is destabilizing in various sectors of this world]

"Dammit. Can I stop it ?"

[Information: yes, if user is present at the gate then system can deny access point to the user's world]

"Great, let's do just that." He urged Nue to speed up. Pumping more curse energy through the bird, increasing its size.

Nue, from the size of a car quickly grows to a full plane. Casting a huge shadow for anyone below. And as Takumi rode it, the lights that it held soon discharged for a faster boost in speed.

[Estimation: Forty-two hours before full integration. After that, the gate will be fully open]

"Shit, where's the first one?"

[Location: North America, Los Angeles sending coordinates]

"That's pretty far for a first one." He complained that, with the sudden arrival of these new gates, he had his mind on high alert.

[New quest: get rid of all invading rifts (0/3)]

The screen appeared by his face. His face darkened as he looked at the board.

*Boom*

The air exploded, Nue just broke the sound barrier. Entering super sonic speed to the location.

It takes less than a few hours riding, Takumi held a map as he flew over the area where the rift is.

"Thanks, Nue, land there." Nue did as it was told, shrunk down to a smaller form and landed.

"System, where is this gate ?"

[Location: the gate is near, signal is strong, please enter a closer range]

The system opened up a map screen for him, and he followed the signal that the gate radiated. Conserving his curse energy pool, he halted himself from anything more than necessary.

Plus, there's someone who is extremely craving to be let out. He can feel Mahoraga since the moment he was awake, just like the other Shikigami. The bond he has with them allows him to 'connect' in a way, understand them better.

'Calm down, will you, I'll let you out.' He can hear her giggle, something he seriously did not expect at all. 'But not here, not now.'

[Gate detected]

He stumbled upon it, the rift gate to his world. Not like a doorway which he usually uses, it's a circular shape that has a blue spark coming off of it. The middle part where one would walk through is just a bunch of blue string trying to connect as of now, Takumi didn't consider what was on the other side but whatever it was. He preferred that it stay there.

'No one is noticing this thing." He turned, this gate is placed smack in the middle of a busy street. On the wall of a building, with people walking by as if they did not see it at all. Others question pester in his mind, 'Why did it choose this place ? Who's behind it ? And if i close it this time, would they return ?'

[The gate is currently in the processing stage, soon it will be ready. User, place your hand on the gate]

"Yes." Reminded, the system, he hovered a hand on the blue portal that was forming.

A sound of glass shattering filled his ear as the gate was destroyed. Takumi didn't react much, he hummed for a second, before summoning Nue again.

Much of the same for the next location, he went to a city in Brazil. There, the gate is much closer to finalization. He destroyed the gate and hopped onto Nue for the last gate in Spain.

'The last gate must have been done soon, system. What are the odds something escapes the gate first ?'

[Question: The possibility of a minion used to secure an entry point is likely, presumably rising if they notice the other gate that has been destroyed]

"I see, Nue, hurry up. We're losing time."

In the mountains of Spain, in this current winter season, no one would be passing through this remote place. In the snow-covered rock, a gate is almost finished in its manifestation stage. Just as the blue light connected, several hands clawed out to the earthly ground. They clawed through the snow, bringing their bodies into this world.

A huge shadow emerged from the gate, rising to stand on its legs, a furry beast roared into the sky. Next, a group of hooded people came through, all equipped with modern weapons.

"So this is the world, not so different from ours." A hooded woman in the front wore a frown. She looked around, then addressed the rest of the team.

"Everyone, quickly set up a base. We're going to make an anchor point here and prepare to link up with the other two as soon as possible."

*Boom*

Interrupting them, a loud noise of something crashing into the snow. Causing a small cloud of snow to fly everywhere.

"Quick, investigate it." The leader barked an order. Two figures came over to check, meeting by two large hands reached out and grabbed both of them, crushing them under its powerful grip.

"Wolf devil-" *WOOSH* the leader's voice was overcome by the sound of wind so strong it even pushed everyone to the ground.

The beast, who is a wolf devil now has its attention on the new arrival of Takumi standing on Nue.

"Damn, I am too late." He frowned, eyes scanning everyone in the area.

He spotted a strange energy coming off of these people. When it landed on the wolf demon, it had the largest amount of energy coming off it.

"Doesn't matter, I'll take you all on. Now, all of you." He rushed through multiple hand signs.

"Come out." From his shadow, shadow wolves in the hundreds rush out. Followed by various combinations of Shikigami made by [wells unknown abyss].

The wolf devil roared, just as it did, a blade made from positive energy slashed across the beast.

Mahoraga, who wanted to come out, picked the beast up in both hands and slammed it down hard. Kicking up more snow as she began a brawl with the devil.

As for the leader, they were quickly overwhelmed by Takumi Shadow Shikigami. Their weapons were ineffective, their bullets at first glance seemed to have torn through them with ease until they realized that they just fazed right through the bullets.

They soon dropped the guns, members of the group were jumped by the beast, biting and tearing their limbs off.

At the very back, Takumi watched the leader and some of the members use their power.

The leader took out a knife in her right hand and stabbed herself in the chest.

"I made this sacrifice my blood to call thee, knife Devil!" She shouted into the sky, similarly, the others did the same, calling various devil names.

".... I call upon the spear devil!"

".... I call you to me, smoke Devil!"

'I see.' Takumi analyzed their transformation with curiosity. 'I think I know what universe sent these beings now. But can't be too careful.'

"Mahoraga!"
