Takumi watches his status screen, making such a change would be a drastic decision he can't go back on.

"Is this the only way?" He was hesitant for so long.

To take power from another world and make it his own, it initially seemed inconsequential. It is what he has always been doing, but this is the power of an entire world.

To merge the worlds means he would bring their worlds to his, Takumi isn't that power hungry.

His objective has remained the same: live a good life, change the course of some event, and get stronger.

Everything was fine, except for that last goal. Takumi wanted power. He did many questionable things, borderline becoming a villain to get that power.

And now he was second-guessing himself if he could go through with this. There was too much at stake, the system was being vague to be helpful, and many more element was entangled for him.

Worse yet, he still didn't get to the special grade yet, for someone of his knowledge on barriers and curse energy. Senjaku even asked if he was hiding his power, he was truthfully not, he tried, but this was something he just wasn't able to do.

Takumi feared that he had reached his ceiling of his potential.

Time wasted on trying to make his own domain, studying the art of the soul, or even figuring it out resulted in failure. So, as much as Takumi wanted to reject the horrible idea. He concluded that he can't activate a domain at all.

Scratching his head frantically, Takumi could only do so to regain some semblance of calmness in his mind.

"Lord?"

"What?"

"Is there something bothering you, sir?"

Fixing his gaze back to their destination, Fukuoka. Takumi has taken several Kukuru squads to fight off a curse spirit infestation. Or that was what was written in the report he sent, in truth, it was a quest the system gave, in which he used to test out the full extent of the new suits he made. And to test out how the high council would react.

Takumi remembers the talk he had with Senjaku about those old heads. She didn't even bother to kill them, and also because she thought they might hold some value if left alive for her to control.

He then thought about Gojo, the original would have them just killed right then and there. Accomplishing nothing but creating a power vacuum for other conservatives to take the place.

Now, what will Takumi do is the question.

Flying on top of Nue, the bird Shikigami takes them to the city in less than ten minutes. Landing on the ground, his army began to move quickly, passing all the civilians and setting up his talisman. There was an evacuation notice, and even a siren for them to escape. Still, too many choose to remain, either out of curiosity about the "magical being" and even a news camera on the site.

"Everyone set up a perimeter, make sure to scout the area before moving in."

"Yes sir."

The plan he set was simple, create a dome to lock in every being inside, so his troops can start the purge without the worry of any escaping.

A hundred members, all equipped to kill even the strongest grade one if they were in the right condition, and this is definitely the right condition, and if it wasn't, then the talisman that set up his barrier would make it so.

Wearing a futuristic black tight outfit, with blue dots glowing on many important spots on their suit. The Gantz suits are working as intended, protecting the wearer and giving them an ample boost to their physical stats. Forcefield technology wasn't quite what he could make, so instead he made a curse energy field that works the same way.

It's going to take a hell of firepower to even make it pass the shield, not to mention his suit underneath that can shrug off the highest caliber rounds, guns, or any human-made weapon for that matter. And speaking of weapons, everyone was carrying a curse tool on them.

His clan members separate into small groups to set up a battle formation, circulating to make a dome. One by one, columns of curse energy shot up to the sky. Sitting in a circle, they link to each other and create a barrier. Almost instantly, the curse energy is boosted so much, one can see the air turn a slight shade of dark green.

"The preparation is ready, my lord."

"Good." Takumi's shadow widened, stirring the curses in the vicinity. Just as the people were getting confused about the sudden sky turning dark.

*Roar*

The clueless people of Fukuoka city stopped whatever they were doing to cover their ears from an unknown high-pitched scream.

Takumi watched in silence as the landscape began to change further, standing atop a high building in the middle of the city. His hands interlocked, making many hand signs while he chanted in a low tone.

The ground cracked, from it, something crawled out. Drawn by hysteria, panic, and fear.

In this messed-up situation, shouting was heard among the people; a lot of them were panicking, and some tried calling the police.

Faces were changed to an expression of fear, not a surprising reaction when they can see a cursed spirit.

The air, and highly concentrated curse energy allowed even the weakest of people to see the creature thought to be non-existent.

Then, a cry could be heard.

"Ki-yaaaa."

"Monster."

Discovering these cursed spirits, the people made the obvious choice to run away to safety. But the monster was already spawning at various points, slowly filling up the street.

Going against the noise of the scared people, a humming noise can be heard, audible even to the one who is talking.

*Boom*

The crowd's mood changed, multiple black figures dashed through the cursed spirits. Too fast for the eyes to see, the only thing they can catch is the blue lights dotting their bodies.

Blue lines of slashes left swept through the horde with no problem, while some were still fixated on the scene.

"Everyone, evacuate, follow me." One loud voice of a Kukuru unit was talking, she didn't have a speaker, but her voice still reached everyone's ears.

Twenty teams of five people ran in different directions. A quarter of them escorted the citizen to a safe area so everyone else could focus on the cleansing.

Takumi didn't need to step in, his barrier allowed him to watch the event unfold from his spot. To his surprise, the assassins of his clan were very proficient in using firearms.

They fire on the swamp of curse spirit's flesh to soften them up before diving right in with blades to cut them up. Any curse weaker than a grade one was killed before they made a single move in melee range, those who survived have curse technique but didn't make much of a difference when they can't penetrate the Gantz armor. not to mention the dozen buffs he set for them inside the barrier.

Now, the hardest swipe from a grade one can't even dent their armor. The most they could be damaged is being knocked back slightly, but being trained warriors, Takumi didn't see anyone getting hit more than a couple of times. Shrugging off or evading the hits that can sever a car in half so easily.

The horde of curse spirits realized that they were no match, and decided to run. Where Takumi came in, with one chant, black tendrils ensnare their feet. Locking them down and forcing them to battle for their lives.

"They're trying to run, girls!" A team leader yelled, and she and the team next to them immediately sped up, pushing the limit of the Gantz suit.

"Not if we, kill them first." The second leader said. Their team joining in.

The two teams jumped into a frenzied charge, competing with each other. Slaughtering until none were left in their sight.

Slicing one curse down the middle, showering in its guts and gore. Another curse with wings got caught by both sides of its wings and had its wings torn off. Takumi watched as a member pulled off a Mortal Kombat move, ripping a curse head along with its entire spine as she dragged the skull out.

Some teams were less enthusiac about the mission but were still on guard. So he called them to deal with the cleanup of any curses that were able to escape, they found the edge of the dome. Hitting uselessly at the barrier that traps them in here.

An hour later, Takumi greeted the same hundred clanwoman. No injury or damage of any sort, unless he counted the thin paint of purple blood that covered them right now.

"Lord, mission report. Team one, all members returned, objective complete, no target survived." An enigmatic voice of a girl from team one stepped forward to report.

"Team two, all member...."

"Team three, all members...."
