"I know where my next world is."
--------
Just to the coast of Tokyo Bay, the people of Japan were called to attention by the sight of a tail suddenly bursting out of the water.
And somewhere else, a portal opens up. A man stepped through, wearing a white shirt and short pants.
Takumi gazed at the shore where his next target could be seen.
"There you are."
The giant wagging tail splashes hard onto the ocean surface. Sending blood red water to rain down. The scene is familiar enough for him to recognize.
Shin Godzilla.
His hand stretched to the side, a small cylinder object in his hand, small like a toothbrush, metallic in its color, with only one button.
He pressed it, and it was submerged in a bright red light.
"Suwatch!" He was inside, or something like it, the feeling was hard to describe, he could feel himself - the human that is Takumi and the Ultraman all at once.
Opening his eyes, he sees himself, so much bigger now, approximately sixty meters tall, maybe more.
His new body is mostly covered in silver, and red lines run all over his body, making a unique pattern.
And of course the blue timer in the middle of his chest. Instinctively, Takumi can tell how long his transformation lasts, one hundred and eighty seconds. And it's counting down fast.
He bends his knee and jumps up, flying to the sky. Takumi's Ultraman body didn't portray any emotion, but his human side is ecstatic about the newfound power; he feels so energetic. It's as if he can do anything.
"This power...I feel so powerful."
Mountain leveling physical strength, the ability to grow into the size of what’s basically a building, the ability to manipulate light energy and use them for both offensive and defensive measures, and then there's space travel.
'Sure, there’s a three-minute timer, but most battles wouldn’t last long when I'm the size of a freaking building and can shoot lasers from my hands. And even if I don’t get that size change, the basic power up that boosts both my offense and defense, given by transforming, was already something that could tank Suzuna or Gojo's level of attacks.'
His body landed in a splash, just in time to see Shin Godzilla. In her first form.
There wasn't panic at first. People with their phones in their hands, recording as something started to crawl up onto land.
The government was too slow, stuck between meetings, to take any action. While the people would suffer.
Suffer, like she did.
This would mark this earth's first contact with the being known as Shin Godzilla. And the battle between her and Ultraman.
The giant creature had made its way out of the sea, its next destination is the streets of the human city. It was amphibious in nature, though it had no forelimbs, merely stubs. It had an elongated neck with gills that were flapping around in the air. Distorted spines on its back and an empty gaze in its wide, blank eyes as it moved forward with a gaping mouth.
Takumi can see her, she is in pain. Her roar sounded more like a cry in agony, and her movement was purely on instinct. Thinking he should end her suffering, Takumi attacked.
Raising an open hand above his head and focusing a little bit on what to make using his energy, a saw disc made of light manifested in his palm. Then he launched it, spinning through the air, the disc hit Shin right on the neck.
He had expected it to cut her head clean off, and it had, his disc travel pass went through her body without a problem, but her head didn't fall off. Instead, the line of flesh where he cut stitched itself back together.
"Adaptation." Takumi had forgotten to account for this ability, "but it shouldn't be this powerful; this was only the first form." He was in disbelief.
She turned to face him and suddenly roared in pain. Blood, hot, steaming, and toxic blood spews out from every orifice of her body.
Her mouth gushes out a compressed stream of it and it shot right at him. Takumi defended himself by putting up a barrier of light, a transparent, rectangular shield in the air to protect himself from the boiling red liquid.
It wasn't fast or strong in particular, just...very haunting. The way Shin adapted to attack him.
He flipped the shield away and dodged to the side. Shin was still too sluggish in the early stage to move with any degree of agility.
So Takumi uses this to confront it in close combat, dashing in with his prime fist to the head of the creature.
*BAM* The air exploded from the impact alone as his fist landed on Shin's face.
Shin Godzilla was sent hurtling through the air and crashing down with a huge splash of water. Takumi followed right behind, intending to finish the job as fast as he could.
"I can't let it evolve to the next stage." The first and second stages of Shin are easy to deal with since conventional weaponry can still damage them. But from the third stage onward it would be bad for him.
Jumping to where Shin fell, Takumi tried to search all over the water but he couldn't find anything.
"No! I can't let it escape!" His mind thought of how such a thing could run from him, he flew into the air, looking down, he must be able to track its radiation signal.
*BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* the timer on his chest started to beep a red color of warning.
"No, already ?" Time flies so fast, he wasted two minutes already. "Fuck it." He flew higher, just below the cloud where he could try and aim his beam.
Ultraman special attack, using it might be overkill but he have to kill it now if he don't want a more mean version to be born. And so, Takumi brought both his arms into a stance.
In one swift motion, he raises his right arm across his chest, holding it perfectly horizontal, while his left arm swings upward at a right angle, forming the iconic cross-shaped stance.
"Spacium Beam!"
A sphere of condensed light forms at the intersection point, his red lines pulsed with power before the edge of his right palm erupted into a blinding, blue-white torrent.
The white beam hit the sea, creating a huge explosion comparable to a nuclear explosion. The heat was so high it ionized the air around.
"Damn, it really survived all of that ?" With the heavy beeping of his timer, Takumi has no choice but to leave and return tomorrow.
