Chap 97: Takichi current state and world
[World: underworld]
Takichi sighs after becoming aware of his new world; for one, it is nighttime time, so he doesn't have to worry about being burned alive.
While his main body was on a date with his wife, he had to be here. Busy with the hunger of drinking human blood. He walked into some weird forest, with his throat dry like he hadn't drunk anything in weeks.
There, his instinct kicks in. His sense of smell, his eyesight, and his hearing all of them was boosted beyond to superhuman.
'Six, no seven. Not human, running, growling ?' So much was his sense that he could even tell what they were. Animals or that is what he is picking up. They move on all four very quickly; his instinct assessment of them went elsewhere.
'Werewolves ?' He didn't know if this was some type of movie or video game-based world. But he has to assume that this has some relation to the folklore of these creatures.
Bending his feet, Takichi turns to sprint after them while keeping his distance and remaining hidden.
With his new demon progenitor physiology, he jumped through the tree branch with ease, like it was second nature to him. Leaving no sounds or traces as he followed the wolves to what he guessed was a hunting ground.
The closer he gets, the more information is filled into his senses. 'They're fighting, many, but not humans.' He can vaguely sense something familiar about the other group.
Deciding to stop, he perched on one of the tree branches and watched the conflict from a safe distance.
Just as he wanted, Takichi's slit iris dilated to him to see better.
Vampires and werewolves. Takichi eyes watch carefully as they murder each other, hundreds on both sides claiming lives in a blood bath.
The werewolves are feral, but they seem to be a mix of some kind because he can see two types of them. One type is the werewolf, which is more like a giant wolf, all hairy and next to no human features, but their chest and head have a resemblance to humans. The second type is what he called a hybrid, more human than wolves, having canine teeth and wolf limbs on a human frame.
As for the vampires, they're wearing armor and weapons. The difference he can see is the two bat fangs they possess. Along the ones that actually have bat-like wings that they use to glide and strike across the battlefield.
'This seems like an old age world, the way they use armor and the lack of technology.'
[Quest:kill the vampire and lycan lord (0/2)]
'Should i join them ? No, rather. The question is which side should i even go ?'
His goal from the beginning is to find a cure to his demon weakness, and killing these two doesn't seem like it could reward him with anything that could help in that end. Unless they have some extra powerset he could take.
'They have a vampire lord, so can those lords walk during the day ?' He thought, unsure if his old-world knowledge of these creatures could even be applied.
"Ehh, whatever. Let's see how much this body gotten stronger first. I'm getting thirsty." He targeted some stray wolves and vampires that were fighting on the outskirts of the area. Too far off for anyone to come and help in time, a perfect place for him to test his demonic blood art.
As the Progenitor of demons, Takichi also has the ability of biokinesis, or in another term. Having absolute control over his own body on a cellular level. With this, Takichi can change and modify his body in almost any way he wants.
He morphs the muscles on his legs, increasing the mass and strength ten times. Then, jumped.
His feet kicked with the sound like a thunderstruck. Entering the outskirts of the battle, sharpening his nails and extending them into claws as he rapidly approached.
Takichi slit the throat of the first two vampires and werewolves he came into contact with. They were too busy killing the enemy in front of them when his hand ripped out their throat.
To his surprise, Takichi turns around and sees that his wound on the vampire is healing. Well, only one of them was healing, and it was very slow. The rest of them are dead.
'Have become that strong ?' Just to make sure, he waited for the vampire to finish recovering so he could fight it.
"Who-arw you?!" The vampire wheeze out in a demanding tone. She was clearly angry and quite unaware of her own surroundings.
"Who knows, i just got here myself." He chuckled, and he brought his claw arm to strike her once more.
*clang*
Takichi could feel his claw cut through the metal of her helmet and into the vampire's skin. Her body hit the ground hard as a result of his attack. Her head was smashed like a quash tomato.
"So, this is my current power." He nodded; it was safe for him to assume that he, as of now, had enough power to handle at least a dozen vampires and werewolves at the same time.
A pang resonated in Takichi's stomach; he realized it then as he looked at the pool of blood coming from the slain enemies.
A line of drool slipped through his mouth, but he quickly regained his senses. Wiping it away, Takichi can't believe his thirst can be so strong. Just one whiff and he almost forgot what he was doing.
"Damn, i really need to get it under control." Crouching down on his legs, he thought about the way he would feed on them.
'Muzan in the show can just absorb the flesh and body of humans; can they be the same.' Placing his hand on one of the vampire bodies, he thinks hard about just eating them.
And then the flesh on the body was sucked into him, he was consuming their flesh on a cellular level and bringing them directly into his cell. The entire process didn't take more than a few seconds before his thirst went away.
When he finished "eating," it wasn't like he was full or in any sense he could compare to when he was eating normal food. He feels refreshed, stronger, and more energized; a glimpse of some vision also came across his mind when he was feasting.
'Memories of the dead?' He checked and yes, they are memories. Not from him but the vampire he had just killed. 'Yup, nothing too important here, I can sort it out later.'
Satisfied, Takichi quickly consumes the other vampire and the werewolf nearby before making a dash to hurrily escape the scene.
