Chapter 565: Chapter 75 Curse

“Sorry.” Facing the girl whose Level was far above her own, Medea showed a rare expression of apprehension and asked carefully, “Do I know you?”

“You don’t know me, but ‘you’ know me,” the Banshee Queen smiled seductively, “In my world, ‘we’ the ‘Bloody Rose’ and ‘Dark Night Rose’ are known as the ‘Sinful Twin Flowers’ of the South Continent, you know?”

“Bloody Rose? You mean the future me?” Medea asked uncertainly.

“I should say, the parallel world you,” the Banshee Queen corrected her, “In this world, I can’t make any judgment about how much you will achieve.”

Her gaze swept over the people present again and settled on Eleanor:

“I didn’t expect you to be here, naive Sofie.”

Eleanor: ???

“Ah, right,” the Banshee Queen suddenly clapped her hands, “You don’t know about that yet, do you? So I should call you Eleanor? Forget it, forget it, it was my mistake; just pretend I didn’t say anything.”

She turned around swiftly and, before Peggy could react, pinched her lovely cheek:

“Little Crescent, you seem much more cheerful in this world. That’s what I’ve been saying, you need not wear that face of deep sorrow all day; a smile suits you better.”

She mischievously stretched Peggy’s cheek and then, as Peggy finally came around, ready to burst out in anger, the Banshee Queen hopped back and looked up at the Spiritual Tree above.

“All right, I have a promise to fulfill for Miel,” the Banshee Queen looked back at Aske, “Human, lend me a hand.”

“What do I need to do?” Aske asked, resting his hand on his sword.

“There are many ways I could kill the Spiritual Tree,” the Banshee Queen scoffed, “The simplest is to let me go all out and turn the Spiritual Tree and all of Solomon City into dust in an instant.”

“To be honest, I quite feel like doing that, especially since the Church Court in this world was just affected by the Magic Tide and can’t activate the Anti-Demon Magnetic Field—but Miel won’t let me do that.”

“In your world, has the Church Court been destroyed?” Nora asked anxiously.

“Not at all,” the Banshee Queen glanced at her, “In our era, the Magic Tide has already peaked and will not rise further. Hence, the Church Court is always running a large-scale Anti-Demon Magnetic Field, like turtles shivering in their shells.”

“Anyway,” she looked back at Aske, “Bound by the current limit of the Magic Tide, I can probably only launch one attack before I must immediately return to my world to avoid going out of control.”

“Since Miel does not wish for the entire city to be destroyed, I can only follow her wish to precisely eliminate the Spiritual Tree.”

“This requires getting into the center of the Spiritual Tree. Otherwise, the attack from outside would be too weak to break through its defense, and if too strong, it would affect the surroundings, which is really hard to control… Ah, such a hassle.”

“I understand,” Aske said quietly, “we will escort you into the center of the Spiritual Tree.”

“Uh-huh,” the Banshee Queen nodded and smiled, “Then I’ll trouble you with that.”

She floated leisurely upward and sat on Aske’s shoulder—Miel, with the Banshee possessing her, was light as a feather, causing Aske to feel almost no weight, just the cold, slippery touch of a thigh against his neck.

Peggy gritted her teeth in anger, and the other girls also showed faces of discomfort, but as they couldn’t defeat the Banshee Queen, they had to swallow their rage and silently resolved to quickly advance through sensing ceremony/condensing laws/ranking up.

“All set!” the Banshee Queen rode on Aske’s shoulder and patted his head, “Santa Maria, off we go!”

“What’s the Santa Maria?” Aske asked.

“It’s my flagship in the Mediterranean,” the Banshee Queen leaned her chest against his nape, softly kneading his earlobe, “She’s a ghost ship.”

“Enough!” Peggy could no longer bear it and fiercely pushed away her restless hands.

“Ah?” The Banshee Queen slightly stunned, then smiled ambiguously, “I see, the reason that you in this world have become more cheerful is because you have a lover you fancy, isn’t it, Crescent?”

“What Crescent! I don’t know you!” Peggy exclaimed.

“It’s truly sad to hear that,” the Banshee Queen continued, “since you in the other world always called me ‘Sister Minerva.’ After all, both of us are Undead Spirits whom everyone despises, and we can only snuggle each other for warmth.”

“The ‘me’ from that world has nothing to do with me!” Peggy argued, “And who knows whether what you’re saying is true!”

“If you don’t believe it, so be it.” The Banshee Queen rolled her eyes and then noticed Valian Bishop running over with the Pope’s Guard.

“The Force Field Shield can’t hold any longer!” he rushed to the group, relieved to see that Nora was still there, and said urgently, “You must leave with me right away!”

“No, brother,” Nora replied with a bitter smile, “we’re going to destroy the Spiritual Tree.”

Valian: ??

He looked at his sister, then at Aske, and at the half-elf girl who sat on his shoulder, her makeup as ghastly as a ghost’s, and finally at the Spiritual Tree ahead.

Are you really going out to suppress the Mutants? Why do I feel like you are just going on an outing? Aske, do you really have the leisure to play horse riding games with the little girl?

“That definitely won’t do!” Valian exclaimed passionately, “According to the Church Court’s emergency order, you must follow me immediately…”

He hadn’t finished speaking when he suddenly heard the Banshee Queen laugh:

“You cannot stop our path.”

As her words fell, Valian Bishop slightly startled, then turned and left with the Pope’s Guard without uttering another word.

The girls: ??

“What was that?” Nora, noticing some subtle changes in her brother’s Mind Body after the Banshee Queen spoke, asked nervously.

“Just a little trick,” the Banshee Queen said nonchalantly. “Let’s go.”

“Didn’t you say you could only intervene once?” Aske asked curiously.

“That just now doesn’t count as intervening,” the Banshee Queen retorted. “It was just moving my lips, it doesn’t consume any Spirituality.”

The group reached the edge of the Shield Field, and Mia summoned the Shadow again, creating an opening on the surface of the Shield.

Passing through the opening to the outside of the Shield Field, they then saw countless dimensional creatures in the night sky, circling down like flies sensing food, greedily rushing toward them.

“You will not perceive our existence,” the Banshee Queen said lightly.

Medea and Nora exchanged nervous glances. They observed no changes, neither in the Spirit Body Sequence nor the Mind Sequence.

However, the dimensional creatures above, as if they had lost their ability to perceive, aimlessly circled in the air for a while before finally dispersing.

That meant the “little trick” used by the Banshee Queen was likely a curse.

A strange curse activated by speech, endowed with the power of Law Ability.
