Rewriting My Fate in the Apocalypse
Chapter 281: Training Plan
CHAPTER 281: CHAPTER 281: TRAINING PLAN
"What you guys did was incredible. Very few people would choose to do something so self-sacrificing.
It is refreshing to know that even in the ancient times, there were still warriors willing to fight for the human race." Mr. Flames commented with a deep sigh.
He didn’t know if he hadn’t seen those images if he could make such a choice.
But after what he had just seen and heard, he had no qualms about sacrificing his life to protect this world.
Even if his contributions were insignificant, he still wanted to act with this team that didn’t care about their own lives and only wanted to protect what they believed in.
"I will follow the leader to the end. If I have to give my life to ensure the success of our mission, then I will not hesitate to do so." The previously timid girl with space power suddenly spoke with so much conviction that it startled everyone.
They all looked at her and the others felt their blood boil.
Thus, one by one, they all swore to join the team whole-heartedly and fight to the end to keep humanity safe.
Seeing their reaction, Lu Zhen knew he had achieved his goal. Showing them was indeed more impactful than just telling a story that sounded like a fantasy to them.
"Alright everyone, if possible, we would rather not sacrifice anyone and ensure that we win every battle. So, you people need to train hard before going to war officially.
Our group won’t be large this time to avoid being stabbed in the back again.
It is better to have ten quality soldiers than a hundred just to fill the numbers.
Ouyang Jin, I believe everyone here has a superpower, but that is not a ticket to laziness.
Start training their bodies to enhance their perseverance and endurance. Also, try as much as possible to strengthen their bodies so that even if they run out of spiritual energy, they don’t become sitting ducks because they can only fight with superpowers.
You understand what I mean. If they can use their bodies as weapons as well, then we will be ahead of the enemy." Lu Zhen instructed with a firm time.
One could tell how serious he was.
"Alright Commander. I will follow your instructions.
The current weather is very suitable for body training. It will help make their bodies tougher and healthier. We will start tomorrow.
So, everyone, be ready for some gruelling training. But I don’t want you to think that we are making you suffer. If you train under such circumstances, your chances of survival will increase significantly when facing stronger enemies." Ouyang Jin became very serious when the matter of training was brought up.
With proper training, their team could become invincible.
As they continued to discuss the training plan, the young woman wearing a red dress and her companion arrived at an abandoned building.
It was more like an old abandoned factory. Walking inside the factory, the air was mucky and cobwebs could be seen in every corner.
If anyone else walked in here, they would assume that nobody had stepped into this place for many years.
The windows were broken and wood splinters had been nailed in place of the shattered glass.
There were old crates , chairs and some other furniture around the warehouse that didn’t seem to have been touched for a long time.
However, the young lady with a red dress walked to one of the seemingly old and untouched table and stood in front of it.
All of a sudden, the table moved on its own. It moved to the side and the floor below sank to the ground.
The young lady and her companion entered the gap that was formed and went down. As soon as they disappeared, the floor that had sunk came back up and the table moved back to its previous spot.
The place regained its previous untouched state as if nothing there had been moved for a decade.
Even the dust and spiderwebs were the same. If anyone was here to witness this scene, they would be shocked and wonder how anyone could achieve that.
Unfortunately, no one had witnessed such an incredible scene.
What was even more surprising was that the underground where the young lady had disappeared to was another world.
It looked nothing like the old appearance at the top. It was clean and well furnished.
Moreover, there were monster-like creatures moving about doing things that humans wouldn’t understand.
What was even more astonishing was that the previously beautiful young lady had turned into one of those monsters as soon as she walked in and so did her companion.
What was even more surprising was that at this moment, a man wearing a military uniform with several appellates was sitting at an area arranged like a reception as if waiting for someone.
When the young lady walked in and turned into a monster, that man didn’t even flinch, and instead stood up and greeted her respectfully.
"Greetings, Princess." One would wonder how this person could have such a fawning expression when facing something so ugly.
"Commander Qui, you can sit down." The monster addressed as the princess said as she indicated for him to sit back down on his chair.
Yes, the person waiting there and the only human among so many monsters was the army commander who had been fuming about experimental subjects escaping.
At this moment, he didn’t have the demeanor of a Commander but looked like a grandson in front of the monster before him.
One would wonder, why would anyone in their right mind betray their kind to work with someone who treated them like lowly servants when in their own race they are treated like kings?
This was a question for any person who witnessed how the feared Commander Qui was acting.
"How is everything going?" The so-called princess asked after sitting down and being served some sticky, dark substance in a wine glass.
Seriously, what was that thing that looked like dirty slime? Yet she was drinking it as if she was enjoying the most delicate wine.
It was appalling.
