CHAPTER 298: CHAPTER 298: LU ZHEN’S HISTORY

Jasmine, or Little Jas as her companions liked to call her, was a fan girl of Lu Zhen when he was the CEO of Lu Group.

Hence, the moment she saw his photo she had volunteered to join the search team. She hoped that she would be able to get a glimpse of her idol even if it was just from a far.

And just like all die-hard fans, they could recognize their idol just by a small part of his body.

It could be his fingers, his eyes, his ears, or any other normal part. Thus, as a big fan of Lu Zhen, she had already recognized that one of the covered up men who seemed to be the leader together with the girl was the person they were looking for.

She had just been too excited when she saw him that she nearly danced on the spot. If it weren’t for the zombies threatening to take her life if she was careless, she would have ran to greet her idol.

Not to mention that he was the target of their mission.

However, she also knew that in the apocalypse, everyone was vigilant and if she just approached that group of people and said that they were looking for two people in their group, they might end up getting into trouble instead.

This was the reason she had held in her excitement and continued to kill zombies even when she saw her idol leaving.

"Of course I know who that is. He is my idol, the most handsome man in the country and also a golden bachelor who every woman wants to marry." Jasmine wasn’t stingy with her praise.

If the others didn’t know better they would have thought that she had fallen in love with the guy.

However, they knew that she had a boyfriend who was stranded in another city and she was working hard to improve her strength so that she could go and look for him.

"Okay, if you know, just tell us who it is. If you speak in riddles, how are we supposed to understand and figure out who that guy is?" The leader whom they called captain also didn’t want to waste time.

Thus, he also urged his subordinate to quickly disclose the identity of the target.

Seeing how everyone was looking at her, Jasmine decided not to tease them anymore and revealed Lu Zhen’s identity.

"His name is Lu Zhen, the former CEO of Lu Group, and before you ask, yes, that was him."

This simple one sentence made everyone seem as if their mute button had been pressed.

There was total silence within the group. Even the captain didn’t know what to say.

What on earth did their boss want with such a ruthless guy?

Even though they had not interacted with Lu Zhen before, his reputation preceded him.

He was said to be a ruthless businessman who didn’t show mercy to his enemies.

He could bankrupt a company within a day just because he felt offended.

In fact, there was a rumor that one of the well-known companies in the country had been bankrupted overnight because the boss had used some immoral method to try and get a contract with the Lu Group.

It was said that the CEO of that company had sent a woman to Lu Zhen’s bed.

He had bribed the servers in the hotel Lu Zhen was staying in while on a business trip and had them give him a copy of his hotel room.

He had then brought a woman into the room and instructed her to wait for Lu Zhen in bed, naked and serve him well to ensure that he was satisfied and signed the contract.

That was the biggest mistake that the businessman had made.

When Lu Zhen entered the room and smelled an unfamiliar perfume, he didn’t even cross the door. He had walked back out and had his assistant check the room.

Assistant Yao found a naked woman in bed and called the hotel manager. It was then discovered that it was the CEO’s scheme to land a contract.

He had thought that Lu Zhen was like all the other men who had money and liked to play. Unfortunately, he had miscalculated.

The woman was thrown out naked and Lu Zhen had refused to use that room again.

He had also ordered his team to deal with that man and by the next morning, the company of that CEO had gone bankrupt.

It was the fastest bankruptcy in history.

Since then, no one dared to send a woman to Lu Zhen again.

People started gossiping about him being gay while others claimed that he had a white moonlight in his heart.

Nevertheless, Lu Zhen never cared about the rumors and was busy chasing Leng Pan.

Now that this group of people heard that the target they were searching for was that scary man, they suddenly didn’t want to continue the mission anymore.

What would happen if he finds out and flips?

However, his fans such as Jasmine didn’t think there was anything wrong with what their idol had done.

How dare that man try to stain their idol? It was good that he had been made bankrupt.

However, Jasmine had also noticed that the relationship between Lu Zhen and the young girl next to him wasn’t simple.

He was her idol, so she was observant even when fighting zombies.

She wondered what their relationship was and whether she was the rumoured white moonlight.

If so, then she would be very happy for her idol. She hoped that their boss wasn’t looking for Lu Zhen for anything that might cause conflict because she didn’t want to be stuck in between them.

"Eeeh...so, what do we do now?" The young man who was asking Jasmine about Lu Zhen’s identity finally broke the silence.

They couldn’t just stand in that blowing snow and ice and look at each other the whole day.
