CHAPTER 311: CHAPTER 311: INSTANT HEALING

Nevertheless, everyone felt more relaxed when they heard the lame explanation.

Lu Zhen went directly to the door and opened it.

Within a couple of seconds, five zombies had already run into the house and he used fire to isolate the others before locking the door again.

By the time he turned around, the zombies had already attacked the people in the room madly.

It looked like because of the extreme cold, many people hadn’t gone out recently, which had led to the zombies having no food.

Now, they were craving human flesh and blood and were especially attracted to the humans with superpowers and the group in the house had no shortage of such people.

However, no one would sit there idly and wait for the zombies to devour them. Therefore, a battle had already broken out.

Juan Ke was fighting one zombie together with Janna and Silk.

Blade was also attacking one together with Vortex while the others also divided the other three zombies among themselves.

Because of what Leng Pan had said, the few of them had chosen to train their combat abilities as well.

Even Lu Tao who was always behind his computer screen was throwing punches and evading attacks like a pro.

It looked like the previous training hadn’t been in vain.

Because there were many people fighting, the five zombies didn’t last long before they were defeated.

After extracting the crystal cores, Lu Zhen burned the bodies before going to open the door for the next batch.

This went on for several rounds until the group could handle twenty zombies without Lu Zhen or Leng Pan stepping in to help.

However, because of the tough nature of the bones of the zombies caused by the unusual stone, they had suffered various injuries.

Nevertheless, it wasn’t something that could threaten their lives, thus, Leng Pan provided a green juice extracted from various herbs and mixed with spiritual spring water.

In fact, all this was done to hide the effects of the spiritual spring water. If it was given to others in it’s original state, it might expose the space bangle.

However, if it was mixed with herbs, whoever drank it would most likely assume that their fast recovery was related to the herbs.

No one would associate their recovery to the water used to make the herbal drink.

Thus, after everyone was tired and worn out, Leng Pan gave each of them a half-liter bottle with a green liquid and asked them to drink.

Those who hadn’t taken the spiritual spring water before were surprised to find that after drinking the green juice, the fatigue in their bodies disappeared almost instantly.

The wounds on their bodies also began to heal rapidly.

Xu Man and Juan Ke had suffered bone injuries and Assistant Yao had to bandage them to help in alignment of the broken bones.

To their surprise, after drinking the juice, they could feel that the bones that had been broken and painful to death were also healing.

In fact, they could feel the healing process and it was a novel experience.

Nevertheless, they had become shrewd after the apocalypse started and people became monsters who would do anything and betray anyone just to stay safe and get some supplies.

Thus, they knew not to say anything so they didn’t bring trouble to Leng Pan who had given them the medicine.

In fact, Leng Pan had at first thought of using her aunt’s wood superpower as a cover and let her transfer some wood essence into the bodies of those injured to help with their recovery.

However, she decided against it when she thought that her aunt might get into trouble one day because of that.

If people with ulterior motives thought that auntie Li had some kind of superpower that could heal wounds and even broken bones instantly, they might set their sights on her and kidnap her to serve them or even experiment on her.

She didn’t want her family to be in danger no matter the situation. Hence, she decided to place the blame on herbs.

This way, if anyone asked, she could just mention a random herb and claim that it had mutated which was why it had such miraculous effects.

As they sat down in the bedroom to meditate and heal, Leng Pan and Lu Zhen stayed in the dirty living room to talk.

Leng Pan took out two plastic chairs from the space bangle and put them down before they sat down to discuss their situation.

"Should we go back home or stay here and continue to train?" Leng Pan asked softly so as not to disturb those meditating inside the bedroom.

"Have you discovered any difference with the crystal cores we harvested today from these zombies?" Instead of answering her directly, Lu Zhen posed a question of his own.

"Mmm...you should have discovered it as well.

Even though the effect is subtle, after all we have only absorbed two crystal cores each, but I can feel that my body is a bit different.

Even though not by much, it has become tougher. Moreover, the effect seems to stem from deep in the bone marrow all the way to the skin." Leng Pan replied with what she had observed.

"You are right. I have discovered the same thing. Which means that if we use more of these crystal cores, our bodies will change. I don’t know if we will be able to stop a bullet, but a simple attack with blunt objects wouldn’t be able to hurt our bones anymore.

I think this is worth a gamble. We have food with us and can stay here for a while. So, I think we should keep training." Lu Zhen felt that they had stepped on lady luck when they left home that morning to have stumbled upon something so incredible.

"Then we will have to take out the stone every now and then for a while to prevent the zombies from leaving after the energy signature has disappeared." Leng Pan also suggested as she knew that the only reason those zombies were there was because of the stone.
