CHAPTER 313: CHAPTER 313: THREE DAYS LATER

Leng Pan and Lu Zhen had meditated for two hours when they were woken up by the sounds of the others walking into the living room.

Leng Pan put the stone back into the space bangle before standing up.

After absorbing two more crystals from those mutated zombies with almost indestructible bodies, she could now feel the changes in her own body more clearly.

It might also have been enhanced by the stone that had been in close proximity with her when she was meditating.

She and Lu Zhen must have absorbed the most unadulterated energy from the stone.

However, she was also worried that while they were cultivating with the stone there, the zombies outside were also absorbing the energy and getting stronger and more indestructible as well.

Nevertheless, Leng Pan thought that this was also okay as the crystal cores they would get from these zombies would have more potent energy and provide them with even more benefits.

"You guys have rested. Are you ready for another round of battle?" She asked the group of people walking into the living room.

"Yes, we can fight again. I feel like I have gotten stronger than before. I don’t know if it’s an illusion but I believe that we should keep training.

No need to go home for the time being." Lu Tao agreed hurriedly.

He had always cared about researching computer programs and creating devices to help his family. But today he felt a different kind of adrenaline while fighting.

He felt alive in a way that he hadn’t felt before and decided to train with everyone else from now on.

He would not stop doing what he did as he had a new device he was researching but he also wanted to be more proficient in battle as well.

Even though his superpower was an auxiliary one, if he could build his physical strength to a point where he could kill zombies without much fear as long as he wasn’t surrounded, he would be happy because then he wouldn’t be a burden to his family.

"Alright, this time we will let in a group of twenty zombies but you have to kill them faster than before.

It’s too bad that the space here is small and we can’t let any more in or we wouldn’t even have a place to stand." Leng Pan said and went to open the door.

The zombies at the door rushed in like the others before and when twenty entered, Leng Pan closed the door, then the battle began again.

This cycle went on for three days without sleep.

On the fourth day, even though everyone had meditated and restored their spiritual energy to its peak and their combat ability had improved significantly, their bodies couldn’t take it anymore.

They had already broken through their limits and everyone there had seen an increase in the amount of spiritual energy due to the constant draining and replenishing of energy as well as the nonstop fighting.

Moreover, because of the crystal cores they were using and the stone they took out every time they meditated, the bodies of everyone there had become tougher.

Now, a normal needle could not penetrate their skin. Even a hit with a rod might not break their bones.

This was more gain than the team had anticipated when they came out to train.

They had even forgotten about the extremely cold weather outside.

"Panpan, why don’t we rest first. Going for so long without sleep is not good for the body." Li Yunjia suggested as she collapsed on the bed right after she stopped meditating.

"I was thinking the same. Everyone, find a spot to sleep. We still can’t go back. Once our bodies have completely rested then we will go out and kill all the zombies out there.

We have gained enough experience in close combat. I believe that if we combine what we have achieved in the last few days and our superpowers, then the horde of zombies outside will be nothing." Leng Pan still thought of getting rid of all the zombies in that area before going home.

"Alright." Everyone agreed and soon there were snoring sounds coming from various spots in the apartment.

Leng Pan and Lu Zhen went into the kitchen of the apartment and everyone thought that they were looking for a space to sleep as well and did bother with them.

However, as soon as they entered the kitchen and locked the door, they both entered the space in the bangle.

Shade immediately greeted the couple when they entered but they didn’t bother much with him.

Lu Zhen just rubbed its head and followed his wife into their bedroom.

They both took a quick hot bathe and went to bed in each other’s arms.

In the morning of the second day when they woke up Leng Pan took some cooked food from the warehouse and the two had the first hearty meal in days.

They couldn’t give their family the same as they wouldn’t know how to explain hot meals to the others in that place.

Hence, they took out some noodles and added preserved eggs and sausages before leaving the space and opening the kitchen door.

The others were also waking up at this time and Leng Pan found some buckets and basins in the house and filled them with water.

Hence, everyone entered the bathroom one after another to take a shower. There were two bedrooms in the apartment and one had been used by men to sleep in while the one that Leng Pan had cleaned before was used by the ladies.

Now, the bathrooms in the two bedrooms came in handy as well.

Leng Pan remembered the clothes they had collected when they had raided that supermarket that had survivors inside and took out a set of clean clothes for everyone to change into.

Everyone had already realized that Leng Pan had a space but they all assumed that she had awakened a secondary superpower and never associated it with an external object like a jade bangle.
