CHAPTER 95: CHAPTER 95: LUCKY

"D-don’t believe him! He..."

Mr. Saturday frantically turned to October, wanting to out Riley for the things he revealed to him. But he wasn’t able to. Riley didn’t lock his throat and larynx this time, and he didn’t even suppress his movement, no.

This time, Mr. Saturday felt a sudden thud in his chest. A thud that rippled from his heart and caused his entire body to flinch and stop. He blinked and stared at October, who narrowed her eyes at him.

He then turned his focus back to Riley again, but it was hard to make out what his expression was due to the flickering red lights that were veiling his face.

But Mr. Saturday knew. He knew, despite the empty look on the boy’s face, that he was warning him. If he said anything, he would stop his heart and kill him where he stood.

"We..." Mr. Saturday opened his mouth again, this time carefully while looking Riley straight in the eyes, and even more careful with the words he uttered, "...We need to kill him, Ms. October. He’s dangerous."

"I will not resist." Riley immediately raised both his palms in surrender, his eyes that were almost as clear as silver water reflecting the red lights and making it seem as if they were moist, but they could actually never be drier. "Just please do not hurt my friends, it was I who planned everything, Ms. October, Mr. Jessy."

"We’ll kill you alright!" Mr. Saturday slowly grew in size again as he stepped forward, "He’s very strong. I’ll distract him, and you will finish him off."

Mr. Saturday stepped forward again, only for him to abruptly halt his steps when he realized Ms. October wasn’t behind her at all, nor did she seem behind her plan at all.

"What... are you doing, Ms. October?! We need to get rid of the boy! We—"

"We?" Ms. October’s voice turned deep, her face that was half-covered by a mask, twitching and obviously showing scorn, "You dare order me, amadi?"

"N-no. But, there’s no time to—"

"Prove yourself to the Dark Millennium." And instead of following him, Ms. October even shoved him forward, "If you can’t even defeat a literal child, then you have no place here."

"I already fought him and lost! Do you want me to die?!"

He waved his hand and pleaded, but Ms. October only glared at him

"Go, or I kill you myself. Do not even attempt to escape, we will find you."

Mr. Saturday didn’t know what to do anymore, but as soon as Ms. October raised her finger and a small silver orb materialized above it, he gritted his teeth and rushed toward Riley.

Riley, however, did not move at all and even closed his eyes; not moving at all, even with Mr. Saturday’s large fist threatening to squash him into a pulp.

"If you win, I’ll let all of you go." Ms. October then said out of nowhere, and Riley immediately opened his eyes as he heard it.

Before Mr. Saturday could even process why Ms. October said what she just said, he was already lying flat on the floor; the metal surface beneath him, slightly dented with his silhouette. Mr. Saturday managed to lift himself up, only for him to slam back on the floor even harder this time.

He tried to get up again, only to break his nose this time as Riley stood on the back of his head.

"I win, Ms. October," Riley said, "Please honor your word."

"Of course," Ms. October nodded as she casually motioned to the doorway, "You may go, nwa."

"Thank you, Ms. October." Riley nodded before turning around, but before he could step down from Mr. Saturday’s head, Ms. October’s voice whispered from the sirens again.

"Mr. Saturday, have you really lost to a child?" She mockingly said, "Then you are still of no use to the Dark Millennium and must die."

"No!" Mr. Saturday screamed, his already large body instantly growing double as he forcefully lifted himself up. Riley slightly lost his balance, but was able to quickly recover, seemingly stepping on air before turning back to look at his opponent.

Mr. Saturday roared, his palms now on their way to clap Riley into a mush. But of course, his palms stopped a foot short of hitting Riley. The difference between their levels has been evident from the start, but Mr. Saturday would rather die fighting than be treated like a dog.

He didn’t even care that Riley was fucked up and even admitted to him that he killed people—after all, if the Dark Millennium was willing to kill him for losing to Riley, then the Dark Millennium can go fuck themselves and experience this devil spawn themselves.

"Rah!" Mr. Saturday roared, "Kill me! If you don’t, I will find a way to survive this and fucking kill your whore sister! You—"

And before Mr. Saturday could finish his words, he once again dropped down to the floor. This time, however, he didn’t fall onto his knees... because they were bent on the wrong side, and both his legs were completely crushed into pieces.

"Grah!"

"Why would you say that, Mr. Je—no, Mr. Saturday?" Riley closed his eyes as he stood in front of the groveling Mr. Saturday, "Please do not threaten Sister, I do not appreciate that—and no, why would I kill you?"

Riley’s hands and lips began to twitch, and he immediately pulled out his pair of sunglasses again to cover his face with his holographic bunny mask so that no one would see his expression.

But after a single breath to collect himself, he let out a loud sigh and said,

"...My parents say hurting other people is bad."

Of course, Riley was going to kill him. But not here, not this way, not in front of all the cameras littered everywhere on the bridge.

And most importantly... not in front of you, Ms. October. Or rather, Ms. Mmirioma. I suppose sometimes, my outrageous memory has its perks.

Riley had met Ms. October before, twice. Right in the tower of the Hope Guild. She was there when Alice was killed, and then he saw him again one last time when Bernard took him and Hannah for a visit a few years ago—she was always standing at the corner or talking with the Empress, the current leader of the Hope Guild.

Mmirioma, the Empress’ sister, and working directly under his father.

In short, she was the leader of the Shadow of the Hope Guild, doing things Whiteking and the others were not allowed to be seen.

Even shorter, she was here for espionage.

But you are telling Mr. Saturday to kill me, Ms. Mmirioma? Very naughty. Of course, I would also be suspicious if I were you. Fortunately for me... it is about time for the bomb that I set up in the storage room to go boom.

And with that thought, a loud boom erupted from somewhere in the ship, once again shaking the entire ship. It wasn’t as strong as the previous tremor, which Riley still had no idea of the cause, but it didn’t need to be—because he only needed to make it seem like it was.

Riley’s finger twitched, and as it did so, one of the windows shattered.

The air within the ship violently flew out due to the sudden change in pressure, and Mr. Saturday, who was groveling on the floor, had no way to collect himself and was blown away.

He was able to grab onto a panel, but his fingers broke.

Of course, done by Riley... who was now rushing toward him with his hand stretched.

"Mr. Saturday!" Riley screamed, flying toward Mr. Saturday to catch him, "No!"

But of course, if he wanted to catch him, he could have just done so with telekinesis—but the only thing he did with telekinesis was to do the opposite and push him out from the ship even faster.

"Mr. Saturday!" Riley once again screamed as he grabbed onto the windows, his arm still stretched out desperately toward him, while watching him fall off.

Well, I suppose this is goodbye, Mr. Saturday.

A wide smile appeared on Riley’s face, hidden behind his mask.

As much as I wanted to hear you scream in pain, certain circumstances made that impossible. A shame, really. It—wait, what?

The smile on Riley’s face faded away as soon as it crept.

How could it not, when—

"I got you."

Megawoman suddenly arrived.

She was wearing a harness and already had two students attached to a rope and their own harnesses hanging beneath her.

Oh...

Riley then watched as Megawoman carefully put on the extra harness she had on Mr. Saturday. Megawoman then slowly looked at Riley, her long golden cape and hair dancing with the wind... and the only thing Riley could do was stare at him.

She wasn’t glowing, no. But in the darkness behind her, she shone like the sun... a sun that took away all the darkness and told everyone who was veiled in her darkness that everything would be okay now.

And that very sun would burn him down.

Uh oh. Why are you so lucky, Mr. Saturday? This is bad. This is very bad.
