Rise of the Apocalypse Hunter With Hand Transformation Skill
Chapter 39: New Skill
CHAPTER 39: NEW SKILL
When swallowed by his slime hand, the Undead King appeared inside of it.
Within the slime hand, there were other hands that emerged and began pulling apart each part of the Undead King’s body, separating him into several pieces.
These pieces would then be merged with Liam’s own bones.
In truth, this was the hand of the Slime King. Its ability was truly remarkable. If he wished, Liam could even fuse the body parts of other creatures into someone else—not just himself. Of course, fusing them into his own body was much easier.
He just wasn’t sure what would happen after merging with the Undead King.
However, he didn’t feel any sense of danger, so he wasn’t afraid to try.
He thought maybe the Undead King’s abilities would become his.
Once the Undead King’s body was completely separated, the slime hand turned the pieces into a kind of black liquid—alive and pulsating nonstop.
The liquid was then absorbed into Liam’s body, causing his eyes to widen in shock.
At that moment, even his eyes turned red, just like the Undead King’s. His brown hair darkened into pitch black.
Other changes followed—his nails turned black as well, and his skin became paler and more ghostly.
The strongest sensation he felt was within his bones, which had now evolved as if they had merged with those of the Undead King—though adjusted to fit his human body.
DING!
(You have successfully fused with the Undead King. You have obtained all of the Undead King’s powers in the form of a single SS-Tier Skill: ’Undead King Mode.’ This skill allows you to transform into the Undead King!
While not transformed, you will not possess his powers.
Your human body can still die, but you cannot die while in Undead King form, for you are death itself!)
(Skill obtained:
[Undead King Mode SS Tier])
Liam suddenly received a notification that made his eyes blink several times.
This skill allowed him to transform into the Undead King himself.
It was somewhat similar to Melly’s transformation skill, though hers turned her into a rabbit—while his turned him into the Undead King.
"Master, did you succeed?" Alice asked when she saw that Liam’s hand had returned to normal.
Liam smiled at her and gave a small nod.
"Your idea really helped me," he said.
"Let’s go." He then returned to Simba’s back, under the surprised gazes of the others.
Although he was curious to try becoming the Undead King, now didn’t seem like the right time—it would shock the others too much.
They might even assume he’d been possessed by the Undead King.
"You really defeated the Undead King?" Selena asked just as Liam got back onto Simba’s back.
She looked completely stunned—after all, she had seen with her own eyes how hundreds of people tried to defeat the Undead King together, only to be forced to flee from Business Street.
Liam only smiled. He didn’t feel the need to explain—the facts spoke for themselves.
Afterward, he asked Simba to continue their journey.
The other students could only stare at him in awe and envy, fully realizing that he had been the most successful person during this disaster.
Liam even saw Anthony, but he didn’t look impressed—he just looked annoyed, his body covered in wounds.
"Liam!" Melly, who was far ahead, called out as Simba approached.
She had already returned to her human form and wanted to ride Simba’s back—but of course, she couldn’t unless the giant cat stopped.
Liam signaled for Simba to pause, allowing Melly to hop on.
"Ahhh, Boss!" When she saw Selena, Melly was more shocked than Lisa had been earlier—she even called her Boss.
Selena raised an eyebrow and asked, "Who are you?"
"No one important. I’m just a student who works for your modeling agency," Melly replied humbly—just like she had when she asked to join Liam’s team.
Apparently, Melly wasn’t close with Selena. She only knew her because she worked for her.
Selena simply nodded after hearing that, clearly uninterested in speaking further with Melly—who rolled her eyes in response.
Meanwhile, Carlos had just returned to the top of the school’s wall, looking satisfied and refreshed—as if he had just taken a bath.
He came back with his blonde girlfriend, who now seemed to be having trouble walking and kept looking at the boy in front of her with disbelief.
From atop the wall, Carlos quickly spotted Liam and the others.
His once-bright expression darkened.
"I can’t believe they actually made it back—and they look completely fine," he muttered.
Liam soon arrived at the school courtyard.
Naturally, he noticed Carlos watching him but couldn’t be bothered to care.
"By the way, Lady Selena, this school is very safe now. Are you sure you want to go home?" Liam asked her.
"You might not find anything there," he added.
He assumed she had a child at home and that was why she wanted to return—but who knew if her child had even survived?
Even if her home had a bunker, without her there, would the others in the house have been able to access it?
"I’ve paid you, so you have to take me there," Selena replied with a rather cold tone.
She seemed to believe Liam didn’t want to take her back and was hoping she’d stay at the school instead. Naturally, she was angry—she had paid him, after all.
Liam had thought that way—so he cleared his throat.
"Of course I’ll take you. Don’t worry," he said.
"Liam, you’re going?" Melly asked when she overheard.
"Just for a bit. You and the others stay here," Liam replied.
He didn’t plan to bring anyone along—just Simba and Alice. He would even leave Milo at the school.
"Can’t I come?" Melly asked again.
"You know, it’s more dangerous for me here than it is out there with zombies and monsters. You wouldn’t want anything to happen to your little girl, right?" she added.
She wasn’t the slightest bit shy saying this in front of others.
Aside from Alex and Lisa, there were other students nearby who overheard.
Lisa didn’t seem surprised—she had already seen what was going on between them.
Alex looked surprised—but then he laughed and jumped off Simba’s back.
As a guy, he didn’t find it strange that Liam had claimed Melly as his girl.
She was one of the prettiest girls at school—and one of the only ones still alive. Who wouldn’t want her?
Alex had wanted her too—but he knew this one belonged to Liam.
"Still no. If you really want to do something, just turn into a rabbit. No one will want to mess with you after that," Liam replied.
"You...!" Melly looked annoyed by his words.
But Liam gave her a look that told her to get down.
Knowing their relationship was mostly built on desire—and therefore fragile—Melly quickly got off Simba’s back with a pout.
Once Lisa also dismounted, Simba immediately sprinted toward the complex behind the school.
He ran at full speed.
