Chapter 325: Where Should We Go Tomorrow?
CHAPTER 325: WHERE SHOULD WE GO TOMORROW?
"No! I want to go to the aquarium!" Claudia pouted, trying to play the ’I am the youngest and you have to obey me’ card. Unfortunately, it didn’t work against Laysa, as the girl just sneered at her.
"Aquarium? What do you want to do there? Watching fish?" She mocked so infuriatingly, to the point that a single tear was threatening to fall from the corner of Claudia’s eyes. "Why would you want to go there? Would it be better to play at the Snow Kingdom? I mean, you can cool your head down in the middle of this crazy summer, right?"
It was currently the night after the sixth round was over, and all the teenagers in the team were debating over where they would want to go tomorrow. It was a rare day off in the middle of a heated tournament, so they all wanted to unwind with a short vacation. Now, the problem lay in the destination, as Claudia and Laysa couldn’t reach an agreement about the two places they wanted to go.
"What about you, Gas? Where do you think we should go?" Sheva asked his best friend, ignoring the commotion unfolding in front of him.
"Me personally? I don’t care about you guys, because I have my own plan tomorrow." Bagas grinned goofily. "Basically, Sarah and I have already rented a private space in a nice restaurant near the Marina Beach, and we would be able to relax tomorrow for at least until nighttime, watching the sunset in a private room without having to fight against the crowd. What do you think?" He wiggled his eyebrows playfully.
Sheva felt the corner of his mouth twitching before turning his head around to look at Sarah. His best friend’s girlfriend just raised one of her eyebrows questioningly, but when she saw that Sheva didn’t really want to say anything, the girl turned her attention back to the phone. However, Sheva could see that the girl was in a quite good mood, and after hearing what his best friend said, the boy nodded in understanding.
"No wonder you both seem quite happy here..." He muttered.
However, Sheva was still speechless over the fact that his best friend could rent a space in such a touristy spot.
Yeah, Marina Beach was probably the most famous place to visit in Chennai. Even Sheva himself had a plan to go there for a date a few days ago. However, the boy buried that plan quickly after reading the information that summer was the peak season for Marina Beach. Everyone wanted to go there, making it unbearable to stay there for a whole day. If they still insisted, they wouldn’t be able to relax, and if anything, it would only stress them more.
However, here, Bagas managed to secure a private space for himself and his girlfriend as if it were nothing. Sheva didn’t know how much money his best friend had to pay, but it was definitely a lot, far more than what the boy could afford. Seeing this, he could only shake his head in exasperation.
"I will never understand you rich people..."
"SHEVA! / SHEVA!" Suddenly, the two girls who had been debating for a while turned their attention to him, startling the boy for a second.
"Yes?" He asked, unsure.
"Where do you want to go?! It should be an aquarium, right?!" Claudia glared intently, as if trying to say that if he didn’t want to get into trouble, it would be better to just nod and agree with her.
"Bah! You still use that intimidation tactic? Barbaric!" Laysa scoffed, lowering herself deeper as she kept debating with a girl four years younger than her. "Sheva, would it be nice to visit the Snow Kingdom in such a hot summer? I mean, you have never seen snow before, right? I promise you that this is the experience that you will never forget!"
"No! Aquarium has a lot of cool places, and you can have a romantic date with my big sis!" Claudia interrupted.
"And you think the Snow Kingdom doesn’t have that?" Laysa retorted.
Sheva was dumbfounded, not knowing what to say here. He turned around to Anna, yet the girl tried her best to ignore her right now. It seemed that she didn’t want to get involved in this mess. Well, one of them was her best friend, and the other was her little sister. So, there was no way she would take a side here.
’Still, in this situation, where the fuck are the adults?!’ The boy didn’t forget cursing all the vets who disappeared from sight. ’Consoling Brother Novendra, my ass! I call that bullshit! They just don’t want to take care of us, right?! What an irresponsible adult!’
Yeah, right now, inside the hotel, only the teenagers stayed there, while the adults seemed to go out for a night walk or something. They were worried that Novendra would do something stupid here, so they decided to keep the man accompanied for now. However, this gave Sheva a problem, as no one could control Laysa and Claudia when they were in a chaotic mode like this.
"Umm... How about deciding it with a game of chess?" In the end, Sheva tried to make a suggestion, just to receive the ’Are you stupid?’ look from the others. "What? It is a valid way to decide things, right?!" He had his face flushed red, trying to defend himself.
"Yeah, but in our case, that is the stupidest solution I have ever heard," Laysa said, which, surprisingly enough, got the nod of agreement from Claudia. This just showed how bad Sheva’s suggestion was. "I mean, we are trying to unwind after six full days of an exhausting chess tournament, so who would’ve thought that it would be a good idea to decide how to do it with another chess game?"
Sheva’s face turned redder than before, while he could hear some of them stifling their giggle there. In hindsight, it was indeed a bad idea. However, that was the only thing he could think of right now, so the boy just gave up, letting those two girls fight over their own choice.
Somehow, though, the argument suddenly got escalated. Pillows were flying around, and Sarah even had to evacuate herself to the outside of the room before she got caught in the crossfire. Laysa, who was slightly bigger, could be seen bullying Claudia, but as her big sister, Anna also joined the fun, teaming up to get Laysa into submission.
However, they seemed to be engrossed with their fight, not noticing someone had just arrived at the door. It was Anna who realized first, but she was too late, as the pillow in her hand had already slipped, flying straight and hitting that person’s head cleanly.
*Smack!*
"Oh, no!"
