CHAPTER 1529: CHAPTER 729: THE PROCESS IS RATHER COMPLICATED_2
Sean Knight deliberately didn’t kill the pirate outright; the pirate’s screams alerted the others that they were still being pursued!
After firing a volley of bullets toward their original path, they once again fled deeper into the jungle!
Sean Knight watched as these people vanished from his sight before he felt reassured enough to take his gun and return to the wooden cabin.
A child peeked out from the cabin, showing his teeth at Sean Knight, whose face was contorted from the fight. Just as Sean Knight was about to pull a scary face at him, a woman yanked the child back inside the cabin.
Undeterred, Sean Knight walked straight toward the tallest cabin.
Once inside, he kicked aside the pirate corpses on the ground and approached the boxes.
The battle had been fierce, and the escaping pirates had no chance to take these treasures with them, now all fallen into Sean Knight’s hands.
Without any politeness, Sean Knight stashed the valuable goods into his spatial realm, thought for a moment, then took some out and placed them into a small box, then, putting away the rifle and taking out a pistol, he carried the box out the door.
He went to another cabin that stored weapons; he took everything there before looking back into the depths of the jungle to check if the pirates were returning. Only then did he head toward the cabin holding the captive women.
"Come out, I’ll take you to safety," Sean Knight called inside.
Sky Eye could see the women inside shivering, evidently afraid they had been caught up in the violence.
Some even picked up a sharpened stick, ready to defend themselves.
At Sean Knight’s call, one Chinese girl showed a surprised and overjoyed expression. She hesitated for a moment, then quickly ran out!
Seeing Sean Knight’s Chinese features, the woman burst into tears of joy, turning and shouting to the other girls inside:
"We’re saved! Come out quickly!"
She shouted both in Chinese and English, then, without waiting for a response, ran toward Sean Knight barefoot.
"Are you the one my dad sent to save me?" the girl asked Sean Knight.
"No-- find some shoes first; I can’t stay here long, you need to hurry," said Sean Knight, expressionless.
He was rescuing these people only because it was convenient--he couldn’t not help his countrymen, but he didn’t intend to take credit, so he left no information.
The woman was somewhat disappointed, but obediently went to find shoes-- to Sean Knight’s surprise, this girl was not the fragile princess type. She didn’t search other cabins but instead pulled the shoes off a dead pirate and put them on.
Though they were a bit big, at least they made walking easier.
Sean Knight could tell she didn’t want to stray too far from him. This raised her in his esteem.
One by one, the other women came out of the cabin, expressions ranging from skepticism to elation to numbness.
"The pirates have been driven away for now. If you want to leave, follow me, and if you know how to use a weapon, pick up a gun from the ground. There’s not much time."
After repeating this in English, Sean Knight turned and handed the box with money to the Chinese girl:
"There’s some money in here; you might need it after you leave."
He then picked up an automatic rifle from a nearby pirate corpse and Sky Eye scanned the surroundings once more.
Sean Knight furrowed his brows when he spotted one cabin.
Some girls understood him, some didn’t, but they clearly recognized this as a rare chance to escape and immediately followed in Sean Knight’s footsteps.
"Don’t stay too close to me!" Sean Knight said, holding his gun and walking forward, looking back every so often.
Fortunately, there was still no sign of the pirates returning.
He had just reached a cabin when a teenage boy peeked out from the entrance.
Sean Knight raised his hand and fired several shots at the boy!
The boy had a look of resentment and collapsed in the doorway.
"How could you be so cruel? He’s just a kid!"
A woman couldn’t help but yell at Sean Knight.
Sean Knight glared at her and continued moving forward without a word.
The Chinese girl disagreed with the white girl’s outburst, coldly saying:
"What kid-- even if he’s a kid, he’s a pirate kid! If you don’t kill him, he’ll come to kill you!"
"He’s just a child, he could be taught..." the white girl argued, stepping out of the line to check on the boy’s injuries.
Sean Knight gave her a cold look and didn’t bother to stop or argue.
The Chinese girl was puzzled but didn’t know what else to say; she just kept closely following Sean Knight’s pace.
Sean Knight was starting to understand why they say, ’In troubled times, kill the holy mother first!’
The white girl rolled the boy’s body over to speak to him, only to see a smoking hand grenade!
"Boom!"
The boy’s corpse, along with the woman, was blasted into the sky, startling the other women!
Luckily, they had already walked out of the blast area, but the shockwave still jolted the two girls behind, covering them in dust and leaving them in a very sorry state.
Having led the girls out of the building without incident, Sean Knight finally breathed a sigh of relief.
When he turned his head to look toward the depths of the jungle, he was surprised to find that pirates were already emerging!
Although they were still five or six hundred meters away, these persistent tails were definitely annoying.
"Let’s move quickly, the pirates are coming!" Sean Knight warned, urging the women to follow the path toward the Seaside, while he used the Hand Grenades and landmines from his spatial realm to set some traps.
The women were physically weak and could not move fast. By the time Sean Knight had set the traps and caught up, they had only covered about a hundred meters.
"There’s a speedboat in the water ahead," Sean Knight said. "We’ll leave here on the speedboat later. I’ll take you to a port where you can contact your families."
Sean Knight said this in English and then continued to walk forward.
Soon they arrived at the speedboat, the women exclaimed and rushed toward it.
At that moment, an explosion sounded from the direction of the pirate’s lair.
Sean Knight knew the situation was urgent — the pirates were hot on their tails!
The girls didn’t need to be told twice as they all boarded the speedboat.
This speedboat was originally meant to seat three to five people, but now with six or seven women crammed in, it was almost too much to handle.
"Hero, come on board!" the Chinese girl called out to Sean Knight.
Sean Knight glanced at them and asked,
"Who knows how to drive?"
"I do."
"ME!"
"I do too."
Three girls raised their hands.
"Alright, you drive," Sean Knight pointed to one of the pretty white girls. "Hurry up."
As soon as they could clear the mangrove forest, the pirates who had no boats of their own wouldn’t be able to chase them.
The roar of the speedboat’s engine started up, Sean Knight looked back at the jungle where the pirates were rapidly approaching.
He pulled out several Hand Grenades and threw them forcefully into the jungle!
His superhuman arm strength and astonishing aim meant the grenades landed precisely in front of the pirates.
"Boom boom!"
Several explosions sent two pirates flying and forced the others to hit the ground, not daring to advance.
Sean Knight stepped onto the speedboat, which sank a little bit more, but the white girl didn’t care about that; she drove the boat towards the gap in the mangrove forest.
They quickly entered the forest.
Sean Knight looked back and saw the pirates had reached the Pier.
They were firing at the speedboat as it sped away.
"Ouch!"
A girl suddenly screamed in pain; Sean Knight noticed she had been hit by a stray Bullet!
The girl’s body slumped to the side, threatening to fall into the sea, but Sean Knight quickly pulled her back onto the boat.
The girl had been shot in the Shoulder, the Bullet entering from behind and lodging in the bone. Blood was oozing from the gunshot wound.
"Hang in there!" Sean Knight, not caring about conserving his strength, pressed down on the woman’s wound with one hand, sent his vital energy probing in, and squeezed hard to eject the Bullet head stuck in the bone.
The girl moaned, but clearly felt some relief.
Sean Knight then pulled out a package of bandages and wrapped up the girl’s injury.
By this time, the speedboat had made it out to the open sea, and the white girl pilot was only concerned with charging forward, with no regard for direction as she had no idea where to go.
After bandaging the girl, Sean Knight could finally manage to direct them toward their Destination.
However, to his surprise, after traveling about ten kilometers, the speedboat came to a stop.
They had run out of fuel!
