Road to becoming the wealthiest: Starting From Treasure Hunting in the Cabinets
Chapter 1532 - 731 Occasionally Being Tyrannical
CHAPTER 1532: CHAPTER 731 OCCASIONALLY BEING TYRANNICAL
Sean Knight had not yet allowed Douglas Cooper to attack because he was using Sky Eye to survey the pirate campground, assessing how many armed radicals were present, identifying potential threats, checking for any hostages, and looking for any opportunities for salvage.
The two pirate campgrounds were only about ten kilometers apart and were undoubtedly related.
Sean guessed the second campground was a subsidiary of the first.
This campground had three to four dozen wooden cabins, several times larger in area than the other campground. Moreover, its central main building was made of reinforced concrete and permanently equipped with a generator, air conditioning, and other facilities.
Nearby, in the wooden cabins, lived nearly a hundred armed radicals. Another brick house within the campground stored a vast array of weapons.
In a two-story concrete house, two guards were stationed on the first floor, while upstairs two dark-skinned locals were in a big room, each energetically exerting themselves with a beautiful girl beneath them.
Monsters!
Both girls were bound and could not resist—it was highly probable they had been kidnapped or coerced.
In another house, there were about a dozen girls, all tied up, two of whom were skin and bones, and one had a broken leg. Another one had several wounds.
Behind this campground was a pit filled with many skeletons.
It seemed these pirates had engaged in numerous ransom operations, truly heartless!
Most people in the pirate campground had fallen asleep, only a few night watchmen remained alert.
This was troublesome.
The same campground contained a considerable amount of treasures. Some were neatly arranged piles of money and gold, likely ransoms or payments for goods; others were blood-stained foreign currencies, gold and silver jewelry, and valuable items including antiques, likely stolen.
Additionally, in the northwest corner of the campground were a row of makeshift tin houses and several worn containers that served as a warehouse storing various supplies.
To Sean’s surprise, there were two off-road vehicles on the western side of the campground. A narrow road led from the campground to the outside, though its ultimate destination was unknown.
"Boss, when do we move?" Douglas whispered.
He had already spotted two sentries at the entrance. As soon as Sean gave the word, he was confident he could dispatch these two sentries without alerting anyone else.
As for the others in the campground, Douglas did not think they would pose a threat to him and his boss.
"Wait a bit longer," Sean said, noticing that the two short, dark individuals had finished their business and were putting on their clothes.
Soon, the two men walked out of the house and went to the entrance of the campground.
The two were speaking at the entrance, while another four armed men hurried to the money storage area. Then, carrying four boxes of money, they headed towards the off-road vehicle and placed the boxes in the trunk.
"Let’s go, hijack that car first!" Sean whispered to Douglas. "That guy might not be a pirate but one of their major backers!"
The two made their way quietly around to a bend in the simple road while the two little black men were still conversing.
Only 500 meters from the pirate campground, but with many trees in the jungle and it being nighttime, Sean felt it was sufficient to ambush the off-road vehicle here.
Ten or so minutes later, the off-road vehicle arrived.
It wasn’t moving fast.
Sean and Douglas had a clear division of labor. Douglas’s target was the driver of the car, while Sean was responsible for taking out the bodyguard in the passenger seat. As for the little black fatty in the back seat, whoever had the extra energy would handle him.
Both armed with sniper rifles equipped with silencers, the leisurely pace of the vehicle and its occupants’ apparent lack of concern about an ambush in the area made them extremely relaxed.
"Bang!"
"Bang!"
"Bang!"
Three crisp gunshots later, three people in the car were hit, two dead and one wounded—the little black fatty, shot in the shoulder, was just about to shout when Sean finished him off with another shot, killing him instantly.
The off-road vehicle swerved and crashed into a tree on the side of the road, its horn blaring loudly.
Douglas hurried over, pulled open the car door, dragged out the driver’s body, and turned off the engine.
It was uncertain if the sound of the horn would alert the scum inside the pirate campground.
Sean pulled the body of the bodyguard from the passenger seat down and said to Douglas:
"Put on the bodyguard’s clothes. I’ll pretend to be the driver."
Knowing Sean could alter his facial features, Douglas didn’t argue and stripped the bodyguard, putting on his clothes.
Sean then dressed in the driver’s clothes, wiped the blood off the little black fatty, found a blanket to wrap him up, and laid him diagonally on the back seat, pretending he was unconscious.
"Get in the car, let’s go plunder their hearts!" Sean climbed into the driver’s seat and turned the car back toward the heart of the pirate’s lair.
As the car approached the entrance of the campground, Sean had already altered his features to look 90 percent like the driver. The sentry at the gate stopped the vehicle and, seeing Sean, asked a question.
In the local language, which Sean did not understand, but it didn’t stop him from releasing the prepared smoke that disoriented the sentry.
Not just him, but another sentry behind him was also confused.
The two sentries opened the gate, letting the off-road vehicle in.
Sean drove directly to the front of the two-story building.
Hearing the sound of the car, the little black fatty upstairs hurried down. Seeing Sean getting out of the car, he asked a perplexed question, then he and his four bodyguards were bewildered by Sean.
