CHAPTER 1533: CHAPTER 731: OCCASIONALLY SAVAGE TOO_2

Sean Knight and Little Black, the chubby one, had made their way bloodlessly into the concrete two-story building; closely on their heels, Douglas Cooper finished off four bodyguards one after another—of course, he did not spare Little Black Fatty either.

"Boss, what do we do next?" Fully trusting in Sean Knight’s abilities, Douglas asked as he wiped the blood from his military sword.

"First, search the second floor for anything worth money or of importance. Check if there are any kidnapped people, and be sure not to make any noise. I’ll go out and scout."

Knowing his boss had great prowess, Douglas only reminded him, "Be careful," and then went to do his duty.

Sean stepped out of the small building, activated Sky Eye, and found that the majority of people had already gone to sleep. Clearly, the recent incident with the off-road vehicle was not known here, or perhaps no one paid attention to it.

This was the perfect opportunity!

He made his way to the warehouse where the treasures were stored.

There were indeed sentries on guard. The entrance was locked with a thick iron gate, which would not be easy to open quietly for ordinary people.

But, of course, it was not a problem for Sean Knight. He silently approached the sentry, who was quite alert, and was about to shout when Sean subdued him.

The iron gate and lock also could not stand in Sean’s way. He efficiently put both into his spatial realm, then stepped inside.

Sean did not hold back with the treasures inside; he collected everything, then returned the iron gate and lock to their place.

Next, he checked the warehouse storing weapons and various other supplies. Only then, still not fully satisfied, did he proceed to the place where the women were held.

Some of the women, feeling braver, were asleep; others had fainted, and a few still wept quietly. Clearly, the ordeal they had been through over the past days had left them deeply pessimistic about tomorrow.

Sean originally planned to release them right then, but thinking back to an incident in a previous camp, he decided it was best to hold off for the moment. After all, if even one of the women made the wrong noise while sneaking out, it would spell disaster for everyone.

He’d better eliminate these pirates first.

Thinking of the hollow place behind the camp, where the bodies of both adults and children were buried, Sean felt the camp no longer warranted preservation.

Carrying an assault rifle with a silencer, Sean moved from house to house silently, sweeping through them one by one.

The raid went smoothly at first, thanks to the sleep-inducing drugs; none of the pirates managed to make a sound before being taken out in the first ten homes.

However, as Sean kicked open the door to the eleventh home, a burst of shouts and gunshots suddenly rang out from the direction of the concrete building!

The pirates reacted swiftly; less than half a minute after the gunshots, dozens of them, armed, rushed out of the wooden cabins and headed towards the commotion!

Sean, with Sky Eye still active, could tell the gunshots were very unfortunate—

The sentry knocked out at the entrance was discovered by someone who had come out to switch guard duties. The new sentry, after failing to wake his predecessor, fired his gun into the sky as a warning.

Realizing it was no longer possible to silently finish off the pirates, Sean hid in the shadows, claiming the lives of the pirates one shot at a time.

Seven or eight pirates rushed towards the second floor armed with rifles. After entering, there was a brief exchange of gunfire—then silence.

Douglas immediately went down to the first floor upon hearing the gunshots, assault rifle in hand prepared to rush out and investigate, only to run head-on into the pirates searching for their boss’s orders. His quick reflexes allowed him to open fire first, dealing with them efficiently.

The gunshots from the small two-story building drew the pirates grouped together to rush towards the building.

Meanwhile, Sean continued to ambush from the darkness, targeting the pirates at the back of the group. One by one, they fell until reaching the small two-story building, when the leading pirate boss realized that of all his subordinates, only seven or eight remained!

Angry at the presence of an unseen enemy, he roared out, and the pirates scattered, searching for the source of danger in groups of two or three.

Just then, a burst of intense gunfire erupted from the small two-story building. Despite the pirates’ rapid response to find cover as soon as the shots were heard, Douglas’s sweeping fire still took down three or four of them, leaving the rest pinned down in corners with great difficulty.

The pirates were continuously suppressed, biding their time for an opportunity when Douglas’s gunfire would cease.

But as soon as the shooting from upstairs paused, the pirates below began to retaliate fiercely!

However, their counterattack embarrassingly dwindled, punctuated by the occasional faint pop, each signifying another pirate falling to the ground!

Sean Knight naturally wouldn’t let them shoot indiscriminately there!

Caught in the crossfire, the pirates who hid in the blind spots between the wooden cabins amounted to just two or three stragglers.

The slower pirates who emerged from the cabins joined their ranks, which allowed the pirates to maintain a rhythm in their counterattack.

As more pirates joined in, the situation upstairs in the small building grew increasingly dire.

Fortunately, the pirate campground didn’t have any strong lights that could cover large areas, so Sean Knight, dressed similarly to the pirates, went undetected.

Thus, the main focus of the pirates turned to Douglas Cooper’s position.

A group of pirates once again surrounded the outside of the small second-floor building.

And about a dozen pirates dispersed around the perimeter, vigilantly searching for Sean Knight.

Sean Knight arrived behind one of the wooden cabins and fired a flare toward the front of the small building!

The pirates, who had been closing in on the building, ready to storm it, were suddenly exposed in the white light!

At that moment, Douglas Cooper poked an assault rifle out of a second-floor window, and with a burst of fire, he took down seven or eight!

The pirates returned fire in a fluster, while Sean Knight had already swiftly moved behind another cabin, firing at the damned fellows.

In this manner, within an hour, all of the pirates’ fighting force was eliminated between the small second-floor building and three cabins.

Under the guidance of Sky Eye, Sean found that there were still some women and children in the other cabins; however, he didn’t tend to them, instead meeting up with Douglas Cooper and releasing the kidnapped women.

Having obtained enough "reward" from the camp, rescuing the hostages was a matter of course.

The injured were assisted by those who were unharmed, and they all headed together to the entrance.

"Why don’t we call the police?" a girl asked in confusion, "Now that there are no armed pirates here, it would be easier for the police to come and help us contact our families."

"Because I suspect there are government officials in collusion with this place," Sean Knight spoke bluntly of his suspicions, the passengers in the off-road vehicle clearly couldn’t be ordinary civilians.

He didn’t want to invite trouble for himself.

So now, Sean Knight’s face appeared as a strange, unfamiliar Chinese face, while Douglas Cooper smeared camouflage paint on his own.

These women were led outside the encampment, and Douglas found another pickup truck within the camp; two vehicles were enough to transport all these people.

If they couldn’t all fit, they would have to squeeze in a little. Undoubtedly, these people were very willing to squeeze in to get away.

After the cars started and left, people came out of the cabins.

Yet these women and children had a look of bewilderment in their eyes—without the pirates, how would they live?

The off-road vehicle and the truck drove only two or three hundred meters down the road before they veered off the carriage-way and into the jungle.

They barely managed to reach the pier of the pirate base.

There were several speedboats here, as well as an old yacht.

"You can follow us or choose to leave on your own using the speedboats or yacht," Sean Knight said to the women, now somewhat at ease,

"There’s a satellite phone on the yacht, which you can use to contact your families. I will also leave you some money."

The women looked at each other, not making a choice right away.

"Make it fast; there’s not much time. If you don’t choose within one minute, I’ll assume you’ve decided to leave on your own," Sean Knight didn’t actually want to deal with this big hassle.

"I’ll stay behind!" The girl who first suggested calling the police suddenly spoke up.
