Run Away After Flirting: Get Lost, Mr. Attorney!
Chapter 1: Bastard, I Miss You...
CHAPTER 1: CHAPTER 1: BASTARD, I MISS YOU...
Summer Nolan had a very vivid dream.
She dreamt that, after getting drunk, she accidentally went into the private room of her rival law firm and sat right on the lap of her nemesis!
Elias Spencer, a legendary figure in the legal world, was also her ex-boyfriend, with whom she had secretly been in a relationship for half a year after pursuing him for a year.
In the two years since they broke up, the two had been fiercely competitive in the workplace.
This jerk even personally dragged her, undefeated until then, down from her pedestal.
After that, she always sought a chance to face him in court, but he intentionally avoided becoming her opponent.
Those two losses remained a long-standing blemish on her legal career.
Everyone said that she would never win a case against Elias Spencer in her lifetime.
This blow planted a seed of resentment in Summer Nolan’s heart, making her want to bite him every time she saw him.
"Worthless man, always going against me, making me lose two cases! Tonight, I’m going to deal with you..."
Summer Nolan grumbled angrily, hugging him tightly, and suddenly bit his neck.
"..."
Leaning back on the sofa, Elias Spencer frowned and grunted softly.
Seeing his ex-girlfriend suddenly burst into his private room and sit on his lap in front of everyone, a rare flash of surprise crossed his usually cold eyes—
"So, tell me, how do you want me to deal with you tonight?" Summer Nolan asked, grasping his tie and raising an eyebrow, intoxicated.
"Attorney Nolan, you’re drunk."
Elias Spencer glanced around the room at the colleagues, calmly withdrawing his tie from her grip.
Everyone watched the usually aloof Attorney Spencer with eyes wide open!
He actually allowed his arch-rival to sit on his lap?
"Will you die if you stop pretending? Tonight I’m going to sleep... uh..."
Summer Nolan, with her hands around his neck, hadn’t finished saying ’you’ when Elias Spencer suddenly covered her mouth, not daring to let her continue.
He immediately pushed her to stand up, speaking in a low voice, "I’ll take you home."
"In such a hurry?"
As he grabbed her wrist, she wobbled behind him, laughing and leaving behind a roomful of astonished colleagues at his firm.
Weren’t they nemeses?
Their words were usually venomous, and their court battles were fiercely competitive!
Elias Spencer took her to a nearby hotel.
"Take good care of yourself." His voice was deep, without a ripple.
Summer Nolan looked at this man in a black suit, exuding an aura of aloofness, and suddenly pushed him against the wall by the door, kissing his thin lips—
"Attorney Nolan..."
Elias Spencer’s words were swallowed between his lips as his whole body jolted, his deep, narrow eyes widening in shock.
Immediately, he pushed her away.
She wasn’t usually this friendly with him.
In the next moment, Summer Nolan once again forcefully wrapped her arms around his neck, boldly yet pitifully saying:
"Bastard... I missed you, can’t we not break up?"
"Do you even know what you’re saying?" Elias Spencer looked at her, his voice low.
"Of course I know, I disagree..."
In a daze, Summer Nolan leaned in again, kissing him actively, her deeply suppressed affection rising wildly.
All she wanted now was to own him, to bully him fiercely.
The humble ’can’t we not break up’ was something she had never said to him, hiding beneath her strong and proud exterior.
Back then, when he said, ’Let’s break up.’
She simply threw two words back at him: "Fine!"
She didn’t cling to him or ask why he wanted to break up; her pride wouldn’t allow her to be as lowly and pitiful as those other women.
Elias Spencer’s eyes darkened, the protruding Adam’s apple rolling, as he lowered his eyes to look at her and suddenly turned the tables, deepening the kiss.
The two stumbled and kissed their way into the bathroom—
A night of intense passion—
The next morning.
Summer Nolan finally woke up.
Suffering from a splitting headache, her whole body felt like it had been taken apart and put back together, aching all over.
Lying in bed for a while, suddenly the images of the craziness with her ex-boyfriend in the hotel room last night flashed through her mind!
She shot up from the bed like a cat whose tail had been stepped on, "Was last night a dream or reality?"
Looking at the messy bed without a trace of the man, she quickly pulled back the covers to check her body, finding her chest covered in love bites—
"So last night wasn’t a dream?"
"Did I really sleep with him?"
"And went to the rival law firm’s private room, sitting on that man’s lap in front of his colleagues?"
"But I’m joining his law firm today!"
She ran her fingers through her disheveled hair, feeling the sky was falling.
"Damn, how embarrassing—"
Her image was completely shattered.
How was she supposed to face her colleagues seriously now?
"Damn Elias Spencer, taking advantage of me while I was drunk?" Summer Nolan huffed, completely unable to recall what she’d said to him.
"Ding—"
The phone suddenly chimed; she picked it up to see a message from Director Dawson, who had recruited her, asking when she’d join the firm?
Elias Spencer was a partner at that firm too.
He probably didn’t know yet that she’d be a colleague soon, right?
Summer Nolan gritted her teeth, waiting to settle the account with him when she got there—
Trisight, the largest law firm in the country with the most renowned and skilled lawyers.
Elias Spencer had a court session that morning and had just returned to the firm, preparing to call that woman, only to be surprised to see Summer Nolan sitting in the adjacent office!
Stunned!!!
He walked in with one hand in his pocket, "What are you doing here?"
