Chapter 104: Another Major Disaster Zone!
CHAPTER 104: CHAPTER 104: ANOTHER MAJOR DISASTER ZONE!
"It’s okay, I didn’t wait long. That dress looks really nice on you." Ian Sterling glanced at her, his eyes full of affection.
"It’s not often I get to come to the beach, so I’m just wearing it for myself. And don’t try to flatter me, it makes me uncomfortable." Summer Nolan was worried he might misunderstand, so she clarified things with him.
"I’m not trying to flatter you on purpose. I’m always this nice to friends." Ian turned to look at her, sounding a bit strained.
How can you be indifferent to someone you like?
When the two of them went down, everyone else was already eating, and it felt out of place to squeeze into the same table with them.
So Ian took her to a new table and ordered all the specialties.
He also ordered a bottle of ’82 red wine.
The colleagues from the law firm looked at Summer with envy—
"Wow, having a wealthy man chasing you is nice. Look, we’re having a team meal, and she’s having all the specialties, which probably cost at least tens of thousands, right?"
"Don’t be sour. Attorney Nolan doesn’t need a man to treat her; she can afford it herself," another colleague said.
"Hey, do you think Attorney Nolan and Mr. Sterling just came out of the room so late because they were...?" said a female colleague with a smile.
"They’re both single; it’s completely normal to have a relationship. Mind your language, and don’t forget when Attorney Nolan slapped Iris Lynn three times?"
The female colleague immediately shut her mouth, not daring to gossip about Attorney Nolan anymore.
Over at Summer’s table, as all the dishes were just served, Elias Spencer approached. He wore black casual shorts and a white T-shirt underneath a light blue and white striped long-sleeve shirt.
His sleeves were rolled up to his forearms, he wore contact lenses, and had a large pair of black sunglasses hanging from his chest pocket.
As he walked over, almost every woman was secretly eyeing him.
He rarely dressed so casually, yet it didn’t diminish his handsome looks, adding a touch of lazy sunshine charm.
He sat down next to Summer, unwrapping the sealed bowls and chopsticks, saying coolly, "Seems I came down just in time."
Summer turned to glance at him a few times. She had to admit, this man really was a walking model, too pleasing to the eyes!
"Young Master Spencer, why are you also coming down so late?" Ian Sterling noticed Summer examining him several times, feeling a pang of jealousy. He thought he should dress up more himself.
Elias looked at him, raised an eyebrow, and said meaningfully, "Conducting business..."
Just as he spoke, Summer gave him a warning kick under the table!
Was he trying to arouse suspicion on purpose?
Ian didn’t understand what he meant by ’business’, but he couldn’t stand the smug look on his face.
He deliberately served Summer a dish: "Here, have some more."
Then he provocatively glanced at the other man, challenging him—would he dare to serve her?
Under the table, Elias suddenly gave the woman beside him a light kick, giving her a warning look—
Summer turned her head, frowned at him, and then looked at Ian on the other side. Damn, she wasn’t this exhausted even when arguing a case!
She immediately put the shrimp in her bowl back to Ian, "I can do it myself, don’t serve me."
"Summer, are you still..."
Ian intentionally brought up that night again, making all the hairs on her body stand up, and she immediately took the shrimp from his bowl and ate it directly.
Haha... great... these two damned men were both threatening her!
Were they not going to let her live?
Elias watched her take the dish back and eat it, his expression involuntarily hardened, and under the table, he kicked her again!
Summer turned to look at him, frowning. One threat came over, and another followed. What exactly did they want her to do?!
Both of these men were ticking time bombs; she didn’t know when they might explode. Her biggest worry was that they might interfere with her revenge plan.
"Come on, eat quickly. You can swim, right? How about we go play in the sea this afternoon?" Ian said, showing off his affection by serving her two more dishes.
He just wanted to make that man leave in anger.
Didn’t he realize he was redundant here?
Swimming with her meant getting closer with her and also provoked Elias! He had to use this opportunity to make that man disappointed in her and keep him away!
"..."
Elias glared at her with eyes like icy daggers, daring her to try showing affection with that man right in front of him?
Wasn’t this, in his presence, putting another man between them?!
"Go, eat," Ian said while affectionately patting her head, smoothing her silky-smooth long hair.
Her hair was so well-cared for, each strand shimmering with a silken sheen, making it irresistible to touch.
Elias saw him laying hands on her right in front of him, and she didn’t seem angry or reject him, sitting there motionless.
The veins on the back of his hand twitched, and the chill in his eyes surged instantly—
Ha, after sleeping with him, now she could seamlessly show affection with Ian? Did she also want to sleep with that man?!
"..." Summer took a deep breath, feeling suffocated sitting there, as if these two ’ticking time bombs’ might explode at any moment!!
Dammit, this was simply a large Disaster Zone.
She bit her lip, suddenly slapped the table, lowered her voice, and coldly said, "Attorney Spencer, Mr. Sterling, you two eat slowly, be careful not to overeat."
With that, she stepped away resolutely; she didn’t want to deal with either of these men.
The two watched her leave, stopped eating, and were stunned—didn’t expect her to leave suddenly.
Ian was about to stand up and chase her when Elias grabbed his arm, he himself couldn’t chase after her in public, neither should he.
Finding an excuse, he said, "Let’s talk—"
"Indeed, we need to talk. I heard your firm has a rule that prohibits office romances; Attorney Spencer should stay away from her, don’t ruin your future over a woman."
He picked up his wine glass, took a sip, calmly and composedly spoke to the man.
Elias couldn’t help but laugh when he heard his threatening words,
"First, if our matter did come to light, how do you know it would be me who has to leave? Second, my future, just a law firm? Young Master Sterling, you’re truly humorous."
Ian had to admit he was speaking the truth. Seeing that threats didn’t work on him, he could only say, "She told me herself that she hasn’t liked you for a long time."
Elias picked up the chopsticks, unperturbed, ate some food, then slowly replied, "She also told me she only considers you an ordinary friend."
The two exchanged a glance, both believing the other was telling the truth, yet neither had plans to let go.
Ryan Dawson, sitting at a slightly distant table, looked over in confusion, wondering what those two men were discussing. Why did Summer suddenly leave?
