Chapter 108: Payment Doesn’t Matter, Just Be On Call
CHAPTER 108: CHAPTER 108: PAYMENT DOESN’T MATTER, JUST BE ON CALL
"Hmph..." Summer Nolan snorted angrily but clung tightly to him, afraid he would push her away.
"You enjoy it so much when sleeping, moaning incessantly, and now you refuse to own up to it, trying to draw a line. How can there be such an easy thing in the world?!" he asked coldly again.
Does Elias Spencer think he’s a gigolo? Just throw him away after sleeping, and then immediately go seduce other men!!
Summer Nolan lifted her head from his neck, looked angrily at him, and asked, "So what do you want, exactly?"
"Either take responsibility for me, or be alone for the rest of your life. Don’t even think about falling in love or getting married to other men," Elias Spencer said to her in a deep voice.
"Fine, fine, I’ll be alone for my whole life, I won’t fall in love or get married, I’ll play with you till we’re old..."
She pouted, thinking that once she had avenged herself and ran away far, she would find an even more handsome guy to fall in love with and marry. What right did he have to control her?
"Why is Attorney Nolan so tough yet still holding onto me? Get off." Elias Spencer, displeased with her choice, pushed her again.
Summer Nolan gritted her teeth, mustered the courage to overcome her fear, let go of him, quickly crawled onto the bed, and pulled the quilt over her head.
She curled up under the quilt, cursing him from head to toe in her heart.
The eerie music drilled into her ears, making her tremble all over. She immediately covered her ears with her hands, but could still hear it.
Elias Spencer saw that she really ran, frowned, and then deliberately said, "The ghost has climbed onto the bed, pulling at your quilt..."
Summer Nolan heard his words and immediately covered herself even tighter.
"Well, take your time watching, I’m leaving. I heard quite a few people died in this hotel, some in crimes of passion, some murdered, some even committed suicide, and all died terribly..."
As he spoke, he extinguished the cigarette in his hand, stood up, walked to the door, and as he was just opening the door, Summer Nolan couldn’t help but lift the quilt and called him:
"You get back here!"
Elias Spencer’s lips curled up slightly, he turned around, coolly, "Want me to stay?"
"...Yeah." Summer Nolan coldly snorted in response.
"Won’t blame me again tomorrow?"
"...No!" She spat out two words in a heavy tone.
Elias Spencer closed the door and went back, "You can sleep on the bed, I’ll sleep on the sofa tonight."
"Stop talking nonsense, just get over here and sleep, what’s with the pretense, scaring me and then running to the sofa?" Summer Nolan shouted at him angrily.
That tone, Elias Spencer didn’t quite like. He calmly went to turn off the TV, approached, and pinned her down on the bed. Summer Nolan immediately supported her hands against him, frowning,
"Mm... I was just asking you to sleep on the bed, not to do this, you..."
Before she could finish speaking, her lips were sealed by this man again, the bath towel on her was also tugged off, igniting a fire within her, uncontrollably wanting more.
Elias Spencer held her slender waist in one hand to punish her for what she did tonight.
"Elias Spencer!" she called out uncontrollably, her nails digging into his strong, powerful arms.
She belatedly realized, annoyingly questioning herself, why did she sleep with him again?
And so forcefully, getting revenge for personal grudge?!
Oh no, oh no, tomorrow he’d threaten her again —
The next morning.
This hotel was very soundproof, Ian Sterling, who lived next door, didn’t hear anything.
He didn’t sleep well last night, was quite disappointed in Summer Nolan, but suddenly thought, Elias Spencer knows that she did so many bad things, why does he still want to reconcile with her?
Doesn’t this prove that she hasn’t actually slept with those men?
She was just putting on an act by approaching those men, wasn’t she?
Elias Spencer is so bad, he deliberately wanted him to give up, didn’t he? He almost fell for it!
After figuring it out in the second half of the night, Ian Sterling felt much better, got up early this morning, freshened up, grabbed his camera, and knocked on Summer Nolan’s room door:
"Knock knock—"
After a moment, there was no answer.
"Knock knock—knock knock—" He knocked on her door twice more, then glanced at the time on his wrist, it was almost eight o’clock, "She hasn’t gotten up yet?"
"Summer Nolan? Summer Nolan—" Ian Sterling knocked and called her name, planning to have breakfast with her and then go take photos, don’t women all like to have good shots?
Just as well, he’s quite good at photography.
Inside, Summer Nolan woke up to the sound of knocking, opened her sleepy eyes, and realized she was once again lying on the man, really wanting to crush him to death!
Suddenly hearing Ian Sterling calling for her, her mind instantly cleared, becoming nervous, Elias Spencer was also woken up by the noise, staring wide-eyed with the woman on him—
The next moment, he pulled the woman off him, his voice cold with a hint of hoarseness: "I’ll go open the door for you."
He clearly left looking disappointed last night, why has he come knocking again this morning?
It seems the little pretty boy didn’t hit him hard enough.
Doesn’t he know that seeing him in this woman’s room will make him give up completely?
Summer Nolan was shocked to hear his words, immediately climbed back onto him, grabbed his two hands, and pinned them above his head, annoyed, "Are you crazy? Want everyone at the firm to know?"
"If they know, they know, what’s the big deal?" Elias Spencer asked back in a calm voice.
Seeing he wasn’t joking, Summer Nolan frowned and could only threaten him, "If our affair gets exposed, I’ll leave the country. Go ahead and open the door—"
After speaking, she turned over, got out of bed, and went to get dressed.
Elias Spencer leaned against the headboard, seeing she didn’t want to go public now, didn’t force it, her career focus was too strong, she definitely wasn’t willing to just be a rich wife.
After getting dressed, she turned to look at him, seeing he didn’t go open the door, she silently breathed a sigh of relief.
Then she went to open her suitcase, took out a checkbook, swiftly wrote a check for fifty thousand, tore it off, and placed it in front of him,
"This is Attorney Spencer’s hard-earned fee for last night."
If he didn’t give her money, she’d give him money, and if she gave him money, then it would be settled.
Elias Spencer picked up the check and glanced at it, his eyes flashed with a sharp cold light, he took her cigarettes from the bedside table, pulled out one and bit it between his lips, lit it, elegantly exhaled a puff of smoke.
His cold and handsome face suddenly smiled—
Summer Nolan looked at him, unable to guess what he was smiling about.
He wouldn’t burn the check immediately and get angry, disdainful of her little money, would he?
As she was thinking, she saw him leaning against the headboard, suddenly say, "It doesn’t matter whether you give money or not, as long as you’re available when called..."
"...!" Summer Nolan blinked her eyes in surprise, did he actually agree? Was he that easy to talk to?!
Too unlike his style.
And not angry?
"You’d better keep it, we’re better off settling accounts clearly." She made it clear again, if he took her money, he couldn’t make her take responsibility anymore.
Nor could he catch her in the act again.
After all, their relationship was a financial transaction, settled clearly.
"Since you insist on giving it, with my worth, at least a hundred thousand per session." Elias Spencer glanced at her and said.
