Chapter 113: Do You Know Who I Am? Tired of Living?
CHAPTER 113: CHAPTER 113: DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM? TIRED OF LIVING?
Summer Nolan glanced at him, smiled, and suddenly grabbed a piece of porcelain by her side, pressing it against his neck, "I think you’re the one courting death!"
The old man lowered his eyes to look at the fragment on his neck, feeling somewhat afraid. However, seeing that she was just a weak woman, how dare she really cut her own throat?
He sneered and suddenly grabbed her hand, pushing it harder against his neck, "Come on, if you’ve got the guts, cut it down? Do it!"
Summer Nolan squinted her eyes, grabbed another fragment with her other hand, and suddenly stabbed it violently and swiftly into his fat face!
"Ah...!!" The man clutched his own face, screaming like a slaughtered pig. The vase hitting his head earlier didn’t really hurt, but this was truly fucking painful.
The blood-covered face became more hideous. He grabbed her white slender neck with one hand, enraged, using great force. Suddenly, the guest room door was kicked open with a bang:
"Bang!!!"
Elias Spencer looked at the man strangling her neck, saying nothing. His gaze first fell on the woman’s swollen face, then moved to the man’s hand of violence, his pupils seemingly covered with a thin layer of ice, cold enough to seep into the bones.
He walked over with steady steps, not quick but firm, the sound of shoe heels hitting the ground was especially clear in the silent room, like it was pounding on one’s heart.
"..." Mrs. Spencer stood at the door looking at the scene inside, also stunned, luckily they came in time. If something really happened to the girl, her son would absolutely resent her to death.
The old man saw the man walking over with a terrifying aura, and was somewhat frightened.
However, he also considered himself a person of status; surely the man wouldn’t dare to do anything to him.
He didn’t release his grip on the woman, coldly warning:
"Hmph, are you here to save her? Do you know who I am? Tired of living, aren’t you? I’ll give you three seconds, get out quickly!
Otherwise, I’ll strangle her to death!"
"Your hand." Elias Spencer’s voice was not loud, yet wrapped in ice shards, chilling even in the air, "Take it away."
The old man looked at him, instinctively loosening his fingers, and Summer Nolan seized the chance to take a breath, with intermittent coughing sounds.
Elias Spencer took a step forward, grabbing the old man’s wrist, suddenly tightening it, the chill in his eyes nearly freezing that hand.
"Hiss... Ow... let go, let go... I was wrong, you can take this woman away!"
Seeing the unfathomable coldness in Elias’ eyes, the old man got really scared, fearing that his wrist might get broken, he hurriedly started to plead.
"..." Mrs. Spencer looked at her son, even she felt a bit uneasy seeing him like this. He actually got this angry because of that woman?
Elias Spencer released his hand and suddenly punched the other side of the man’s clean face, knocking out two of his teeth, and sent him sprawling on the ground.
"Cripple his legs." He slightly turned back, coldly ordering the bodyguards outside.
"Yes, Second Young Master." Immediately, two bodyguards entered the room.
Elias Spencer helped the woman on the floor to her feet, looking at her swollen face, his sharp brows furrowed slightly, leading her out first.
The bodyguards went to close the guest room door, so as not to disturb other guests.
Summer Nolan looked at this man, feeling uncontrollably warm in her heart... Nope, this is not okay, I can’t let my heart fall for him again...
He definitely only saved me because I’m his ex-girlfriend.
"Attorney Nolan, are you hurt anywhere else?" Mrs. Spencer asked her.
"No." She hadn’t expected Mrs. Spencer to come for her as well. This Mrs. Spencer seemed nice. Summer Nolan glanced at the dozen or so bodyguards in the corridor, guessing they were Mrs. Spencer’s men?
Why did they listen to Elias Spencer so obediently just now?
Just now they seemed to call him Second Young Master?
"Let’s go rest in my guest room for a bit." Mrs. Spencer led the way. Her guest room was on a higher floor, a luxurious suite, indicating a more distinguished status.
Elias Spencer didn’t refuse, holding her hand as they followed his mom.
"No need, I can just find a place to sit for a while." Having only just met, not familiar, Summer Nolan doesn’t like to trouble others.
"It’s inconvenient for you to go to a crowded place looking like this." Mrs. Spencer glanced back and said. Her feelings towards Summer Nolan were complicated now, blaming her wasn’t possible.
The problem was with her son.
Summer Nolan didn’t refuse again. She looked at the man beside her, puzzled, and asked, "Why did those bodyguards call you Second Young Master earlier?"
Elias Spencer was slightly stunned, explaining, "I’ve been working with Mrs. Spencer for many years, and her people all know me."
"Oh." She nodded but still found it very strange, "I snatched your client this time, why aren’t you angry? Hmph, in the past, you would’ve fought for my client for sure."
"Who says I wouldn’t fight for your client?" If she insisted on having him fight for her client, then fine, he would, to prevent her from suspecting.
"Get lost." Summer Nolan glanced at him, coldly huffing as she shook off his hand.
Mrs. Spencer, listening to their bickering behind her, began to understand why her son liked her.
Other girls would only try to please him, fawn over him, but only Summer Nolan wouldn’t take him seriously, even competing with him in the workplace.
Her son has always been proud, he likes smart people.
But if she wanted to get back together with him, she would have pursued him within the last two years, wouldn’t she? Why drag it out for so long?
In the hallway behind them—
Iris Lynn saw Summer Nolan and Elias Spencer holding hands, hurriedly took out her phone, ready to take a sneak photo, but then saw Summer suddenly shake off Attorney Spencer’s hand.
"Damn, I almost got a shot!" Her face turned sullen.
"They should stay on this ship until tomorrow, there should still be a chance..."
What annoyed her the most was not only failing to discipline Summer Nolan, but also that Mrs. Spencer seemed to care more about her! She even came to find her personally.
Suddenly, she heard screams like a pig being slaughtered coming from the old man’s guest room, and she looked enraged, "Hmph... useless thing, deserved to be punished."
"If Attorney Spencer slept with other women, someone as proud as her probably wouldn’t forgive him, right?" Iris Lynn’s lips curved slightly.
Iris also wanted to sleep with that man, often secretly calling his name at night, thinking of his handsome and aloof face, indulging...
But she dared not really make a move on him.
If she failed, he would definitely drive her away!
"No rush, first get rid of that Summer Nolan, then think of ways to become Attorney Spencer’s woman... But I better not get kicked out before she does!" she murmured to herself.
Heading to the luxurious upper floor guest room of Mrs. Spencer.
The service staff soon brought in ice, and Elias Spencer wrapped it in a towel and placed it on her face. Summer Nolan pressed it down herself,
"I can do it myself."
Mrs. Spencer saw the man’s disgusting bloodstains on her clothes, retrieved a tailored high-end white dress from her own wardrobe, and gave it to her:
"Go change your clothes, your outfit is dirty."
"...Thank you." Summer Nolan appreciated it. Unexpectedly, this Mrs. Spencer, who seemed cold and aloof, actually had a kind heart.
