Run Away After Flirting: Get Lost, Mr. Attorney!
Chapter 116: You Kick Her Out, Then Tell Her to Go Back?
CHAPTER 116: CHAPTER 116: YOU KICK HER OUT, THEN TELL HER TO GO BACK?
Elias Spencer shot another cold gaze over, startling her so much that she had no choice but to get up and leave...
After the door to the cabin closed, he immediately went to the bathroom to soak in cold water.
After an hour, the burning sensation had eased a little, but suddenly he thought about Summer Nolan roaming outside alone, and he felt uneasy again.
Those on this cruise ship are all people with power and influence.
They all play around a lot, and now it’s night, there are many drunkards—
When he went to book a room in the afternoon, there weren’t many empty rooms left, and now there are probably no rooms at all.
Elias Spencer raised a hand to rub his temples. The more he thought, the more chaotic his mind became. He stood up abruptly from the bathtub, quickly dried the water off his body, put on his clothes, and headed out the door.
The cruise ship was too big, so he called the bodyguards and told them to go to the security room to check the surveillance cameras; it should be easier to find her that way.
Summer Nolan, at this moment, was on the second-floor deck where there was a masked ball.
At the entrance, staff handed out masks. She put one on and sat alone in a booth by the railing, passing the time drinking and listening to upbeat music.
She went to find the staff to book a room, but there were no empty rooms left.
Suddenly, a man in a black suit with a gold fox mask walked over and looked at her intensely.
She had just finished a glass of red wine and was about to pour another one when she suddenly noticed a man standing beside her, not leaving. Annoyed, she turned to look. Due to the dim lighting and his mask, she didn’t recognize who he was.
"Go away, don’t bother me." Summer said coldly, not in the mood, turning her gaze away to pour herself another drink.
The man looked at her, frowning. Why was she upset?
Was it because she hadn’t figured out a way to stay on this ship?
"Stop drinking and go back to the room," Elias Spencer said in a stern voice, snatching the glass from her hand.
Why was it that man’s voice?
Summer turned to look at him and recognized him, letting out a sarcastic laugh. So, after spending the night with that blind date, he was here to meddle in her affairs?
Ignoring him, she got another glass and poured herself half a glass again, only to take a sip before he grabbed the glass again, his voice deep and cold,
"I told you to stop drinking!"
"What business is it of yours? Let go." Her voice grew colder, anger rising within her.
Elias Spencer snatched the glass from her hand and directly threw it into the sea!
Summer glanced at him. Really suffocating. What exactly did this man want?
If he wanted to sleep with others, then let him. However many women he wanted to play with was none of her business. They would go their separate ways in the future, wouldn’t that be fine?
Why did he have to meddle in her affairs again?
"Come back to the cabin with me."
Elias Spencer grabbed her hand to pull her, but she suddenly shook it off. Summer, somewhat tipsy, swayed a bit as she coldly laughed,
"Attorney Spencer, stop playing with me, alright? Whatever you think of me and Raymond Dawson is your business. I’ve had the misfortune of being with you multiple times. From now on, let’s just be strangers!
If you want to help Summit, then let’s meet on the professional battlefield using our own means!"
"Now, please leave. How I am is none of your business. Stop pretending to care just to trick me into bed again." Her eyes misted, but she forced the tears back.
Sleep with her once, then again, what does he take her for?
Listening to her words, Elias Spencer’s eyebrows furrowed tightly. Clearly, he should keep his distance from her, but why was he so repulsed when she said those things?
He had personally heard her conspiring with Raymond Dawson, so why did she make it sound like he was falsely accusing her?
"Let’s talk back in the room."
He pulled her up again, trying to leave, but Summer struggled violently. Seeing it was useless, she suddenly raised her hand and bit his hand, which also didn’t work.
Dragged into the elevator, she couldn’t hold back her anger any longer and burst into tears, "Elias Spencer, are you crazy? Kicking me out, then wanting me back? Who wants to go back with you?
What, that woman didn’t satisfy you, so you still want to take advantage of me? You’re going too far!"
Watching her face wet with tears, Elias Spencer froze, his heart involuntarily twisting tightly. It was his first time seeing her cry——
She had always been so strong.
Even when very angry, she’d smile.
Had he really angered her this much?
"I didn’t sleep with her." He explained in a low voice, raising his hand to wipe her tears, but she fiercely swatted it away.
"It doesn’t matter to me whether you did or didn’t." Summer wiped her tears away, averting her cold gaze, clearly not believing that he hadn’t slept with her.
Taking someone back to your room, hugging and all, and didn’t sleep with them?
What did he do with that woman for one or two hours in the room? Just chat?
"What exactly is your relationship with Raymond Dawson?" Elias Spencer asked in a deep voice, giving her another chance.
"Who are you to me? Why should I explain anything to you?!"
The elevator door opened on the fifth floor as someone outside pressed it. She used the opportunity to walk out quickly, but in the next instant, the man chased after her and grabbed her arm,
"Stop, it’s late. It’s not safe for you to wander around alone. Come back to the room; I won’t touch you."
"Even if I died, it would have nothing to do with you, okay? Let go!"
Summer forcibly shook off his hand, preparing to run when he suddenly grabbed her, throwing her over his shoulder. Elias Spencer carried her up to the sixth floor via the stairs.
No matter how much she shouted or hit him, it was useless; she was still carried back to the cabin.
Elias Spencer tossed her onto the bed, commanding in a deep voice, "Don’t run around, do you want to be taken into a room by some man at this hour?"
Summer sat up on the bed, glaring at him with hatred, gritting her teeth, wanting so badly to knock him out and toss him into the sea!!
Standing up, she walked around him towards the door, but after taking just two steps, he pulled her back again, and she could only coldly ’threaten’:
"Try running again, see if I don’t knock you out!"
Summer shook off his hand, coldly staring at him, very frustrated, very angry, but unable to get away from him—
"Earlier, you seemed unhappy about me helping Summit... why?" Elias Spencer crossed his arms, standing straight in front of her, questioning again in a cold voice.
She wanted so badly to marry into the Sterling Family, she should be trying hard to behave and please them, shouldn’t she?
Summer had already decided to be strangers with him, didn’t want to answer any of his questions, pretended the room was empty, turned unsympathetically away, to the floor-to-ceiling window, arms crossed, looking out—
In the deep blue night sky hung a half-moon, the outside scenery wasn’t very clear, the sound of waves crashing repeatedly echoed in her ears.
Each sound seemed to pound heavily on the heart.
Watching her cold demeanor, Elias Spencer’s eyebrows furrowed. Shouldn’t he be the one who’s angry? He exposed her, yet she was angry?
"Buzz buzz——" Suddenly, his phone rang. He pulled it from his pocket, glanced at it—it was the bodyguard; his voice was icy: "What is it?"
"Young Master Spencer, I’ve found out about the license plate number you asked me to check. You’d never guess whose car it is!" the bodyguard said.
