CHAPTER 117: CHAPTER 117: IGNORING ME? DID SHE GET MY PERMISSION?

Elias Spencer glanced at the back of the woman, holding his phone as he walked to the outer room, slightly impatient, "Stop beating around the bush, speak."

"It’s Sean Sterling’s," he didn’t dare to drag it out any longer.

Sean Sterling’s car? Were those thugs sent by that old man? Elias’s eyes were deep, did Summer Nolan know long ago, is that why she didn’t want me to defend Summit in court?

So was she in cahoots with Raymond Dawson or not?

Seeing her so angry, with such a big reaction, she didn’t show any guilt after being exposed by me... did I wrong her?

She just wanted to push the lawsuit onto Raymond Dawson? That old fox couldn’t win the case anyway.

Elias silently guessed in his heart, walked into the inner room beside her and asked directly in a deep voice:

"Did you know all along that those thugs were instructed by Sean Sterling? Is that why you didn’t want me to win the case for him?"

Summer Nolan turned a deaf ear, still folding her arms across her chest, looking outside without saying a word. There’s no need to deal with just a stranger by her side?

Elias looked at her cold demeanor, as if he had committed a grave sin, and frowned, "You’re not clear about anything, who do you blame?"

She still didn’t say a word. Elias couldn’t stand her cold attitude, suddenly pinned her against the floor-to-ceiling window, and before he could speak, she suddenly raised her hand and slapped him:

"Slap...!!"

Elias was astounded, this was the first time she had slapped him. In the past, when she was angry, she would just hit his chest. Seeing her so upset, like she couldn’t be coaxed anymore, he was even more certain that he had wronged her.

Summer disdainfully pushed his hands off her shoulders, couldn’t push them away, gave up, turned her cold face, not looking at him.

She was too lazy to resist.

Let him hold on all night if he could.

Elias saw she still wouldn’t utter a word, frowned... never one to apologize to others, he said to her in a deep voice, "Let’s just say I wronged you, don’t be angry."

Summer had no intention of forgiving him. Ending it here wouldn’t be bad, to prevent him from hindering her revenge again—and besides, he had slept with another woman, did he still want to sleep with her for free?

His hand suddenly turned her face straight, Elias forced her to look at him, her eyes filled with indifference made him unconsciously a bit panicked...

Not going to speak?

Not acknowledging me anymore?

He deliberately kissed her forcefully!

Capturing the woman’s lips and tongue, aggressively conquering, his kiss was like a tropical storm, forcibly sweeping the angry woman into a whirlwind of chaotic emotions.

"Mmm..." Summer was furious, pushing against him with all her might was futile, this abhorrent man took advantage of her again.

Truly angry, not wanting to be taken advantage of again, not wanting to be involved with him anymore.

Thinking that he had just been with another woman, this mouth probably had touched someone else, made her even more repulsed, disgusted.

Elias grabbed her flailing hands, one hand pinning them above her head, the other holding her continuously twisting face, deepening the kiss—

One hand unzipped the zipper of her dress, the dress, with its strong drape, smoothly fell to the floor.

Summer’s eyes widened, struggled her hands with more force, tried to lift her leg to kick him away, but he tightly suppressed her, unable to move an inch.

Elias’s face was grim, she wants to ignore him?

His consent was needed?!

Want to be strangers with him?

His consent was needed?!

She suddenly bit hard on his lip, Elias frowned, moved her lips away, seeing her still very angry expression, holding her face with his hands, suddenly coaxed in a low, gentle voice,

"Alright, don’t be angry..."

Summer looked up at him, finally spoke coldly, "Let go."

"Then don’t be angry?" he asked.

She turned her face away, didn’t speak, it was impossible to forgive him anyway.

"Why don’t we make a deal, as long as you aren’t angry, I can hand Summit’s case to Raymond Dawson, not return to the city tomorrow." Elias said to her in a deep voice again.

Summit’s case, he didn’t regard it highly, he didn’t lack the agency fee anyway.

Hearing his words, Summer’s eyes flickered, didn’t want to forgive him, yet wanted him to give up the case—

"Have you thought it through?" he looked at her and asked.

Why not, even if she isn’t angry, she could keep her distance, be strangers with him?

"Mm." she responded in a low voice.

"Whoever breaks their word is a dog." Elias said as he let go of her hands, thinking he had finally coaxed her.

Summer looked at him coldly, didn’t speak, immediately picked up the dress on the ground, put it on, ready to zip it up herself, Elias reached over, wanted to help her—

"I don’t need your help." she said indifferently, zipped it herself, walked a few steps away and asked, "Are you going out? Or am I going out?"

"There are no guest rooms left, let’s make do for the night, you can sleep on the bed, I’ll take the sofa." he said.

Summer turned to look at the messy bed, not knowing if he and that woman had been in the bed, or on the sofa outside?

She went to the wardrobe, took out a spare blanket, lay down on the chaise by the floor-to-ceiling window—though not long enough, it was quite good.

"You have a bed but you sit there, what are you doing?" Elias looked at her and asked.

"I like it." she said, then turned around, back to him, looking at the dim sea outside, her mind chaotic, unable to sleep.

Was she really not angry? Elias frowned at her, didn’t know she misunderstood him for sleeping with Luna Sullivan, could only slowly coax her.

At least, she was willing to talk to him.

The next morning.

"Knock knock—"

Suddenly a knock sounded, Elias, sleeping on the bed, was woken up, saw the woman on the chaise still sleeping soundly, got out of bed to open the guest room door.

Seeing his mother standing outside the door, asked, "Why are you knocking so early?"

Mrs. Spencer came to see if Summer’s face was better, after all, she got injured because of her. Thought it was Summer opening the door, didn’t expect it to be her son!

He was only wearing a thin robe, face still sleepy, she looked at her son in surprise and asked,

"What are you doing in her guest room so early? Slept in the same guest room last night? Did you two... sleep together?"

"Didn’t you go on a blind date with Luna Sullivan last night?"

Elias looked back, only spoke after closing the door behind him, "I already slept with her long ago, that little girl is not my type."

"Sleeping together after breaking up? What kind of relationship is that?" Mrs. Spencer frowned at her son, didn’t they just fight last night?

Made up so quickly?

"She’s the one who doesn’t want a status." he said in a deep voice.

"If she doesn’t want a status, it means she doesn’t want to reconcile with you, even if you sleep together it’s useless, you should quickly go on that blind date." Mrs. Spencer saw through it directly.

"I won’t go on a blind date, don’t interfere in my matters." Elias’s attitude was firm.
