Run Away After Flirting: Get Lost, Mr. Attorney!
Chapter 158: He Actually Begged Her to Reconcile in Such a Humble Tone?
CHAPTER 158: CHAPTER 158: HE ACTUALLY BEGGED HER TO RECONCILE IN SUCH A HUMBLE TONE?
"Okay." Summer Nolan gave him a push and agreed.
"Really?" Ian Sterling asked excitedly.
"Mm." She gave a slight smile and nodded.
Ian was so excited he was at a loss for words, only able to leave a deep kiss on her forehead before suddenly worrying that his family might pose a threat to her. He then seriously said,
"How about we go abroad when The Summit Group’s troubles are over?"
He had his own company over there, and he could definitely afford to support her comfortably.
"Let’s talk about it when we solve The Summit Group’s troubles, it’s still early. Besides, I have many cases on my hands that are not finished yet." Summer looked at him and said.
"Alright, I really want to go on a date with you today, I don’t feel like going to the Group..." Ian hugged her excitedly, unable to believe she would agree.
Happiness came too fast.
"The elevator doors are open, people outside are watching, let’s go, there’s a lot of work to do today, and I have a trial to attend in the afternoon."
Summer nudged him, glanced at a few neighbors who stood not far away, feeling a bit embarrassed. Only then did Ian let her go after glancing at them.
After pulling her out, he said, "Then I’ll go listen in on the trial in the afternoon, accompany you..."
"As you wish." She responded nonchalantly with two words.
-
The Summit Group.
Elias Spencer had just come in for a moment when the conference room door was pushed open again, and Summer Nolan walked in, followed by that man surnamed Sterling.
"You go and mind your own business." She said.
Ian deliberately asserted his sovereignty in front of the man by wrapping his arms around her waist and kissing her on her fair cheek:
"Let’s have lunch together..."
Elias’s gaze was drawn, as if by an invisible string, to the intimate figures not far away. That scene felt like a fine needle suddenly piercing his heart.
The dull pain spread along his blood vessels, even his breathing stalled for a moment. He instinctively clenched the hand hidden in his sleeve, his knuckles turning white from the force.
Veins bulged uncontrollably on the back of his hand, exuding a repressed hostility.
The aura around him chilled at a speed visible to the naked eye, the arch of his knit brows harboring a gloom that couldn’t be dispelled.
The light in his eyes gradually dimmed, like a cold pond shrouded by dark clouds, leaving only a biting chill.
"..." Summer looked at him, her heart involuntarily skipped a few beats, for some inexplicable reason feeling flustered as if she had been caught cheating.
Really, it had become a conditioned reflex.
"Go do your work, I have work to do too." She pushed the man aside and said.
Ian noticed Elias’s stricken appearance, feeling inexplicably pleased as he withdrew his gaze, responding before leaving the office.
Summer looked at the man across from her, said nothing, and was about to sit down when Elias suddenly walked in front of her, grabbing her wrist with one hand, his gaze cold as he looked at her:
"Do you know that he was already in bed with someone else the night before at the party, betraying you?"
The night before at the party? Ian was in a room with another woman? It didn’t seem like him, "Are you deliberately slandering him? How do you know he was in a room with another woman?"
"...Julian Rivers saw it." Elias, not wanting to affect their sisterly feelings, didn’t say it was her sister.
"Attorney Rivers is your best friend; his words can’t be trusted. Besides, this is my personal business, you don’t need to worry about it, Attorney Spencer, let’s work."
She tried to jerk her hand free, but the man gripped it even tighter, his cold and sorrowful gaze making her very uneasy, scowling, angrily asking:
"What exactly do you want?"
"You’re not allowed to be his girlfriend..." Elias, seething with jealousy, suddenly pulled her into his arms, his voice hoarse, tinged with sadness yet domineering and insistent.
Summer punched his shoulder with her fist, annoyed, "Just because you say so? You were fine with your assistant, I never stopped you, please don’t bother me."
"I am clean with Iris, unlike Ian, who stayed overnight with another woman. Hmph, why do you think he bought you a necklace? It’s because he’s feeling guilty!"
"Even if he really stayed with another woman the night before, I believe he didn’t do it on purpose, maybe it was just a business social, just playing the part.
If you want to be a wealthy lady, you need to be more tolerant. How can you climb up if you take everything so seriously?" Summer said deliberately.
Hearing her words, Elias felt his lungs almost burst with anger!
"How can you be so forgiving of Ian and so petty with me? If you want to be a wealthy lady, I can also satisfy you. Do you want billions or trillions? I can give it all to you!!"
He roared in anger, suddenly pushing her onto the conference table. Summer glanced back, intending to move away, only to be suddenly pressed down by him on the table, her hands pinned tightly, unable to move.
He had billions or trillions? Dream on, everything is in dreams, Summer couldn’t even be bothered to expose him.
"Attorney Spencer, please calm down... It’s working hours now..." She looked at the frantic man, calmly saying to him.
"There’s only one thing right now that can calm me down..." Elias said in smoldering anger, capturing her hands and pinning them above her head.
"Elias, you dare... mm..."
Summer knew what he was going to do, she struggled with her hands, her cheeks being held by one of his hands as he covered her red lips in a searing kiss, prying open her teeth.
Suddenly, his hand lifted her black skirt—both of their hearts immediately pounded out of rhythm.
"Elias..." her eyes suddenly widened, panic in her voice, her wrists turned red from his grip, yet she couldn’t break free from his vise-like grip.
He actually dared to do this in someone else’s meeting room...
What if someone walked in and saw?
Elias moved his lips away from hers, resting against her nose, his voice dark and husky with a hint of supplication, "Would you come back to me? If you don’t like Iris, I can dismiss her..."
He actually used such a lowly tone to plead for reconciliation? Previously, he always kept his aloof facade, always cool and detached.
It’s too late to ask for reconciliation now.
Summer shook her head firmly, now determined to take revenge, unwilling to forgive this man, "Stay with Iris, I wish you both well."
"I won’t wish you well with that man..."
Elias was deeply stung by her words, a wave of pain swept through his chest, and in the next moment, his actions carried the urgency suppressed for too long, even somewhat harshly.
Does she want to be that man’s girlfriend?
Then he wants her to be under him every day!
"Elias!" Summer’s pupils shrank suddenly, letting out a muffled groan as she glared at him furiously.
Almost two hours later...
Summer was already sore and exhausted, her heart pounding almost out of her throat.
"Are you done or not?" Unable to take it, she angrily hit him.
"Are you going to break up with him?" Elias looked down at her and asked.
"I won’t break up with him." Summer turned her face and spat out a few words, only to be punished harshly by him again. She grimaced, slapping him on the face.
