CHAPTER 160: CHAPTER 160: ARE YOU A CHILD? WHY DO YOU LOVE TATTLING SO MUCH?

"It’s nothing, I just choked on my drink, it’s not your fault." Summer Nolan said thoughtfully and gently, just wanting to annoy someone to death.

Elias Spencer looked at their loving appearance, secretly gritting his teeth. He actually dared to call her "baby"... almost couldn’t resist throwing a punch!

Ring-ring——

Ian Sterling’s phone suddenly rang. She took it out and glanced at the number; it was an unfamiliar phone number. Thinking it was a work call, she answered directly:

"Hello, who is this?"

"Cough cough... Mister, it’s bad, your kitchen is on fire, do you have a fire extinguisher at home?!"

The room was filled with a strong smell of smoke. Vivian Nolan fanned her nose with one hand and used a towel with the other to beat out the flames rising from the pot.

Out of boredom, she originally wanted to make herself a grand meal. After bustling around all morning, shortly after turning on the stove, the pot caught fire. She didn’t even know what she had poured into the pot.

Ian Sterling heard that not only had she not left his apartment, but she had also started a fire. His brows furrowed tightly, and thinking of Summer Nolan beside him, he immediately lowered the call volume and said coldly:

"In the utility room."

"Do you want to come back? I’m afraid I can’t handle it. What if I burn down your whole house?" she asked.

"Got it." He said with a calm expression and hung up the phone. Worried that she might really burn down the house, he was compelled to return home.

Summer Nolan was puzzled; didn’t she just hear her sister’s voice? Was it that girl who called him? She looked at him and asked, "Who called you?"

"The housekeeper, saying that an appliance exploded and caught fire. I need to go back, you keep eating." Ian Sterling told her, touched her head, and then got up and left.

He didn’t want to leave her here to have dinner with Elias Spencer, but he couldn’t take her back either.

Summer Nolan vaguely heard about the fire earlier and didn’t suspect. Maybe the housekeeper’s voice sounded a bit like her sister’s.

After he left, she kicked the man opposite her in the leg, and the man finally withdrew his leg.

"Baby, have some more vegetables." Elias Spencer called her "baby" in a sarcastic tone, and even picked up some vegetables for her and put them in her bowl.

"..." Summer Nolan froze at his sarcastic tone.

"Baby, eat, why aren’t you eating?" He called her again.

"Call your assistant ’baby,’ why are you calling me? I’m someone else’s girlfriend now, is it appropriate for you to call me that?" she scoffed, not at all polite, and started eating the food heartily.

The Hunan cuisine here was indeed delicious, both fragrant and spicy, quite enjoyable to eat.

"We just slept together this morning. Attorney Nolan, why are you acting like a stranger after pulling up your pants?" He said, overcoming the spicy taste and started eating with her.

Without Ian Sterling here, he felt much more at ease.

Wasn’t it Vivian who just called him? In the future, when he dates Summer Nolan, he could have Vivian call him away?

He gave a slightly sinister smile.

"What are you smirking about now?" Summer Nolan noticed his smile and asked with a cold snort.

"Nothing, baby, eat quickly, the food is getting cold." Elias Spencer called her sarcastically again and picked up more food for her.

Summer Nolan looked at him, frowning——

-

Vivian Nolan had already used the fire extinguisher, but the entire open kitchen was a mess, and the floor was covered with broken dishes and plates.

She had never done housework at home and didn’t know where to start cleaning up.

Suddenly, the sound of the fingerprint lock on the main door unlocking was heard. The door was pushed open, and Ian Sterling walked in, immediately smelling the burnt scent.

Frowning tightly, he looked at the woman standing by the island with an innocent face and asked in a deep voice, "Are you hurt?"

She was Summer Nolan’s younger sister, and if she got hurt here, it would be hard to explain.

"...No." Vivian was still a bit worried that he would scold her, but didn’t expect his first words to be concern.

"Didn’t I tell you to go back? Why are you still here?" Ian Sterling walked over and asked.

"I went out, how could I get back in? I don’t even have your front door password." She hummed with her arms crossed, still wearing a short camisole nightdress, without even bringing clothes over.

He glanced at her slightly revealing attire, immediately diverted his gaze, grabbed her wrist, and dragged her toward the door, "Go back to your own house, don’t cause trouble here."

Vivian grabbed the edge of the island with one hand, "My mom is at home right now, you want me to go back dressed like this? If she asks, should I tell her I’ve been here since last night? Or that I came here this morning?"

Hearing her words, Ian Sterling’s expression darkened, having no choice but to let go of her... calm down, don’t get angry, she’s Summer Nolan’s sister...

"When will your mother go out?"

"How would I know?" she pouted.

Ian Sterling was silent for a moment, then said, "This afternoon, I’ll have the bodyguard keep an eye on her. If she goes out, you return immediately, got it?"

"Got it, got it. I’m starving, haven’t even had breakfast, and now I’m about to die of hunger... Why don’t you have any snacks or fruit here? So stingy."

Vivian muttered to him, rubbing her flat belly with one hand, and went over to the sofa, lying down on it softly.

Ian Sterling glanced at her, then at the mess of meat and ingredients on the island, which triggered his OCD. It was obvious she couldn’t cook.

While carefully cleaning up the debris on the floor with tissues, he said in a disgusted tone, "So incompetent, such a grown-up, and you can’t even cook such a simple meal."

"My mom and my sister can’t cook either. Are you saying the three of us, mother and daughters, are incompetent? Hmph, I’m going to tell my mom and sister that you called us stupid." She scoffed.

A line of black appeared on Ian Sterling’s forehead. He only meant to call her stupid... didn’t mean that Summer Nolan and her mother were incompetent.

"I was just saying it casually to you, why are you taking it so seriously? Are you a child, liking to tattletale so much?" He didn’t want Summer Nolan and her mother to know.

"Are you scared?" Vivian asked with a smile.

"If you keep talking, you can go back."

He glanced at her, speaking with a serious tone, quickly finished cleaning up the debris on the floor, and threw all the jumbled-up ingredients she had cut into the trash bin.

Then took a towel to clean the stovetop——

Vivian Nolan didn’t continue to argue with him, just quietly watched him, dressed in such an expensive suit and looking so good, yet cleaning up so neatly, a bit surprised——

Didn’t expect that a man as outstanding and wealthy as him would also know how to do housework?

Ian Sterling quickly finished tidying up the kitchen, took out a box of wagyu beef, two eggs, and some broccoli from the fridge, preparing to fry two steaks.

He hadn’t eaten much at the restaurant either, still hungry.

Vivian soon smelled the aroma, lying on the sofa armrest, her eyes fixated on his tall and handsome figure in the kitchen, her heartbeat unconsciously skipping a beat.

This was her first time seeing a man cook, it was too attractive...

More charming than those male classmates who pursued her.
