CHAPTER 18: CHAPTER 18: DID SHE SLEEP WITH THAT ZHOU GUY?

Two days later, at noon.

As soon as Summer Nolan stepped out of the financial building, she was called by Raymond Dawson waiting there. She walked over and asked with a slightly elevated tone:

"Is there something you need, Director Dawson?"

"Let’s have a meal together. I have some work-related matters to discuss with you privately." As he spoke, he waved to Renowned Attorney Spencer a few steps away and smiled.

In fact, he was worried that Summer Nolan and Elias Spencer were spending too much time alone together and might lead her astray, so he intentionally asked her out.

Elias Spencer pretended to nod at him slightly and gave a deep look at that woman before driving away.

"Let’s eat at the restaurant next door, I’m very busy this afternoon." She said, crossing her arms.

"Alright." This woman was so arrogant at times that even he was annoyed, but there was nothing he could do since she was useful now.

They walked to a nearby upscale Cantonese restaurant.

After sitting down by the window, Summer Nolan ordered quite a few expensive dishes. Shouldn’t she take advantage of this old fox?

"How is your cooperation with Attorney Nolan going these days?" Raymond Dawson probed.

"We haven’t talked much, each doing our own work. Even if we can’t see eye to eye, the necessary work still needs to be completed quickly." Summer Nolan knew he was trying to find out how she and Elias Spencer were getting along.

"It’s good that Attorney Nolan thinks this way." Raymond Dawson felt relieved hearing her say this.

In another restaurant.

Elias Spencer was having a meal with his close friend.

"You said Summer Nolan and the old fox are having a meal together? When those two get together, it never seems to lead to anything good." Julian Rivers commented.

"Hmm."

Elias Spencer picked up his glass and took a sip, able to guess what they might be discussing, but remained calm. If she really colluded with the old fox, he wouldn’t spare her.

"You aren’t emotionally involved with her anymore, right?" Julian Rivers asked, sensing some ambiguity between them last night.

Elias Spencer lifted his gaze to glance at his friend, "She doesn’t like your type. She’s just playing with you, and she’s not suitable for you."

"Who says she’s not suitable for me? My kind and her domineering type are a perfect match! I wouldn’t fight with her or argue with her every day." He raised an eyebrow, intentionally teasing.

Elias Spencer adjusted his glasses and dealt a blow with just one sentence, "She’s not interested in competing with someone who’s stupid."

Julian Rivers glared at the man opposite him, gnashing his teeth. Where was he stupid? Couldn’t this man keep his mouth from spewing venom sometimes?

"Hmph, she wants a man to date, not a workplace rival." Julian Rivers took a bite of food, snorting coldly.

Elias Spencer leaned against the back of the sofa, crossing his long legs, and spoke again with indifference, "She’s proud and ambitious, and dismisses anyone less capable than she is."

"What exactly do you mean?" he asked, frowning.

"Just don’t want you to become her plaything, consider it a friendly warning." Elias Spencer raised an eyebrow, his face full of sincerity.

Meanwhile, having finished lunch with Director Dawson, Summer Nolan was about to leave when suddenly she spotted two familiar faces entering—

It was Lily Dunn and Mrs. Vaughn.

Those two women also immediately noticed her, their faces instantly becoming arrogant and sullen.

"Isn’t it Attorney Nolan? What’s wrong, couldn’t find a job and came to beg Director Dawson upstairs?" Lily Dunn asked mockingly, then immediately turned to speak to the man named Dawson:

"Director Dawson, you better watch out. Attorney Nolan is very cunning. Be careful you don’t hire a wolf in sheep’s clothing and not even know how you ended up dead!"

Summer Nolan crossed her legs and leaned back on the sofa, smiling at her words—

Raymond Dawson knew she was deliberately sowing discord, and his tone became somewhat serious,

"Attorney Dunn, you should mind your own business. Right now, Attorney Nolan has not only joined Trisight but is also a senior partner at my firm."

"W-What? She’s a senior partner at your firm too? Are you blind?"

Lily Dunn was shocked and insanely jealous. She had been Ethan Quinn’s mistress for so long and still couldn’t become a senior partner. She just switched to a new firm, so what right did she have?

Why does this Dawson trust her so much?

Could it be, she slept with this Dawson?

Thinking of this possibility, Lily Dunn suddenly laughed sarcastically,

"Attorney Nolan, you must have pleased this old man well to get this opportunity, huh? I thought you were so high-minded."

Standing beside her, Mrs. Vaughn crossed her arms and also laughed mockingly—

Raymond Dawson, always smooth and patient, was now so angered by this bitchy woman that his face looked ugly, his teeth itching to teach her a lesson, but hitting a woman in public would really damage his image!

Summer Nolan stood up, smiling as she glanced at her, and in the next instant, picked up a half-eaten plate of steamed fish and suddenly slapped it onto the woman’s face:

"Smack!!!"

The plate fell to the ground and shattered, fish pieces stuck to her face covered in grease, looking absolutely disgusting.

Lily Dunn’s eyes widened in rage, and when she opened her mouth, the oil dripped into it. She raised her hand, trying to wipe off the disgusting stuff from her face, but felt too dirty to lower her hand for a long time.

Mrs. Vaughn nearly vomited out of disgust, hurriedly opened her handbag, and handed her a small packet of tissues.

While wiping the filth off her face, Lily Dunn deliberately said loudly, "What, did I hit a nerve, Attorney Nolan? Is this why you’re so outraged?"

Everyone in the restaurant turned to look at them—

Summer Nolan smiled, calmly took out her phone, publicly played a recording, and turned it up to the maximum, immediately causing an onslaught of indecent male and female voices to pour out!
