Run Away After Flirting: Get Lost, Mr. Attorney!
Chapter 186: Ruining Reputations, Dragging Her and Elias Spencer Down with Me!
CHAPTER 186: CHAPTER 186: RUINING REPUTATIONS, DRAGGING HER AND ELIAS SPENCER DOWN WITH ME!
"That’s a good plan. They were the ones plotting against us in the first place. They shouldn’t expect to get away unscathed!" Iris Lynn snorted.
At the law firm.
Elias Spencer had just arrived and ran into Summer Nolan in the break room. He didn’t make any effort to speak to her, just picked up his personal coffee mug and made himself a cup of instant coffee.
Summer turned to look at him, speaking frankly, "Thanks for last night. How about I treat you to a meal?"
"No need," he replied.
No need? She didn’t like owing people favors, "Then let me pay you. Oh, and can I borrow those bodyguards of yours for a few more days? I’ll pay them, is that okay?"
"No need to pay, it was just a small favor." Elias Spencer said.
"If you don’t accept the money, then send them back," Summer insisted on paying, not wanting to owe him anything.
"Alright, suit yourself." As soon as he spoke, a commotion erupted outside. They exchanged curious glances and walked out, only to see from a distance that Raymond Dawson’s wife was publicly berating Iris Lynn.
"You shameless little slut, how dare you seduce someone else’s husband? You’re even in the legal profession. Do you have any moral compass? You’re even more shameless than those nightclub women!
You little bitch, come over here if you’ve got the guts. Let’s see if I won’t beat you to death! Come here!"
Mrs. Dawson saw her husband and the little bitch coming to the firm together, guessing they must have been together last night, and her fury escalated. She screamed insults while trying to rush over and hit her, but her husband desperately held her back.
Iris Lynn hid behind Raymond Dawson, glancing at the surrounding colleagues who were watching. Her face was grim, and fed up with Mrs. Dawson’s insults, she retaliated coolly:
"I was set up, and shouldn’t you blame yourself for not being able to keep your husband? Look at yourself, you’re as fat as a pig."
The colleagues around looked at her in disbelief. Could she really be so brazen as a mistress?
Mrs. Dawson, seeing her arrogance, felt her blood pressure surge and almost fainted from anger. However, not wanting to pass out in front of a mistress, she pushed her husband out of the way and grabbed a handful of Iris’s hair, slapping her face repeatedly:
"You shameless bitch, like seducing men? See if I don’t ruin that face of yours!"
"Smack!!" Raymond Dawson quickly grabbed his wife’s hand, unable to stand watching her hit his mistress, and angrily slapped his wife:
"Enough! Get home right now! This is a law firm, not your playground. We’ll talk about this tonight."
"Did you hit me for that little slut?"
Mrs. Dawson suddenly cried out angrily, questioning. She wasn’t beautiful or thin, but she truly loved him and had never wronged him.
She never squandered his money, and now he’s disgusted with her?
"Isn’t this embarrassing enough? Go home! Or I’ll call security." Raymond Dawson furiously dismissed her.
"Fine, I’ll divorce you. I want you to leave with nothing!" Mrs. Dawson said coldly, glaring fiercely at the little slut before leaving.
Iris Lynn held her swollen face with one hand, mocking without fear. She wanted to see if the woman had the guts to actually make him leave with nothing.
Summer Nolan looked at these two shameless people, impressed. One cheated, the other a mistress, both so unabashed and arrogant?
They really are a pair.
Iris’s gaze suddenly landed on her, taking advantage of the presence of all the colleagues, deliberately raising her voice,
"Attorney Nolan, was it you who drugged the drinks me and Director Dawson were having last night, then took me to a hotel, while Attorney Spencer took him there too, planning to have us sleep together? What are you two up to?!"
Instantly, all employees turned their gaze to Summer and Elias... wondering if the woman was telling the truth.
"Do you have proof? You shamelessly became a mistress and still want to blame me and Attorney Spencer? Assistant Lynn, you really have some nerve," Summer said, smiling at her.
"Do you dare say it wasn’t you who took me from the private room last night?" she snorted coldly.
"Does that prove it was me who took you to the hotel?" Summer raised an eyebrow and smiled.
"..." Iris Lynn suddenly couldn’t speak, glaring at her hatefully.
"That hotel has surveillance. Did you arrange to run off for some affair, or did we send you? Check the footage and you’ll know," Elias Spencer said calmly, his hands behind his back, deliberately speaking in front of all the employees.
"You’re afraid that the surveillance has already been tampered with, aren’t you?" Raymond Dawson snorted.
"If the hotel’s surveillance really is broken, does that mean Director Dawson wants to pin the blame on us from the start? Ridiculous. As a lawyer, one should speak and act with evidence.
Director Dawson has been a lawyer for over twenty years; surely he understands this," Elias smiled, looking at him.
"He knows perfectly well; it’s just that they had an affair and feared being mocked by the firm’s people, so they wanted to drag us down with them.
Director Dawson and Assistant Lynn truly have skills; I should applaud you both." Summer immediately chimed in, clapping a few times.
"..." Suddenly, all the employees believed what Attorney Nolan and Attorney Spencer said, looking down on the two even more.
"You...!" Raymond Dawson looked at them angrily, clenching his fists, his eyes filled with anger, wishing he could devour them alive.
He had planned to set them up, to kick one out of the law firm, but instead got outsmarted, losing face and respect among the employees!
These two were ruthless.
"By the way, Director Dawson mentioned a few days ago that office romances are forbidden. Since that rule is in place, it can’t just be for show. So between you and Assistant Lynn, who’s going to leave?" Summer suddenly asked.
"I wasn’t in a relationship with Director Dawson; it just happened accidentally," Iris Lynn snorted, unwilling to leave, feeling wronged.
"Yes, we were set up and it just accidentally happened." Raymond Dawson said in a low voice.
"If it was an accidental occurrence, then why was Director Dawson staying at Iris Lynn’s place last night? Do I need to show the surveillance of him going to her place?"
Elias Spencer said seriously, immediately sending the surveillance footage of him going to Iris Lynn’s place to the work group chat.
You could clearly see when he entered the building and when he left. Knowing they might try to weasel out, someone had been following and monitoring him the whole time.
Raymond Dawson caught a glimpse of a video on an employee’s phone and was infuriated. This damned man actually followed and monitored him?!
Who’s really the one with the cunning mind?
"Who is leaving?" Summer asked again.
