Run Away After Flirting: Get Lost, Mr. Attorney!
Chapter 190: Elias Spencer Catches Her Vomiting...
CHAPTER 190: CHAPTER 190: ELIAS SPENCER CATCHES HER VOMITING...
Summer Nolan was simply unable to eat, so she had to get up and go to the service desk to settle the bill. Clearly, she was hungry, but she couldn’t eat anything, making her feel mentally uneasy.
The bodyguard saw her suddenly leave without paying the bill after eating very little and followed her out. It was strange that she ordered food but left without eating.
Didn’t like the food at that small restaurant?
Summer Nolan got in the car and said to the bodyguard driving, "Go back to the law firm."
"Alright," the bodyguard replied.
After driving for a while, she suddenly saw a pharmacy ahead and immediately instructed the bodyguard, "Stop for a moment, I need to buy something."
"Miss Nolan, would you like me to help you buy it?" the bodyguard asked respectfully.
"No need, I’ll go myself." She got out of the car and went to the pharmacy, where she bought a pregnancy test. Then she went to the nearby cake shop to buy a small cake and a bottle of yogurt.
Back at the law firm, she took the pregnancy test out of her office. It was just after one o’clock, not yet time for work, so no one else was at the firm.
As she walked down the hallway to the restroom, she unexpectedly bumped into Elias Spencer!
Feeling guilty and nervous, she immediately hid the pregnancy test box behind her. Why was this man here so early?
Elias Spencer noticed her sudden nervous expression upon seeing him and the hand hiding something behind her, puzzled, "Why is Attorney Nolan so nervous to see me?"
"Why would I be nervous? I was just startled to see you suddenly. Didn’t you go out to eat?" she asked, changing the topic.
"No, why are you back so early?" he asked.
"I’ve taken on Raymond Dawson’s wife’s divorce case, I’m back to prepare the contract. Don’t spread the word about this yet, wait until I finish signing." Summer Nolan informed him.
Elias Spencer frowned upon hearing her words and said coldly,
"If you’re helping his wife with the case, Raymond Dawson will definitely retaliate against you. Let me handle this case; I’ll transfer the attorney fee to you, I’m not taking it."
"No need, I want to handle this myself, Attorney Spencer shouldn’t interfere."
She said in a deep voice and was about to go to the restroom, when he suddenly grabbed her arm, startling her. She thought he had discovered what she was hiding in her hand, but he merely asked in confusion:
"Why do you want to handle it yourself? Raymond Dawson is trying to kick me out of the law firm, what does it have to do with you?"
"Alright, I’ll honestly tell you, Raymond Dawson and I have some unresolved issues. I came into this law firm to find the opportunity for revenge, so please, Attorney Spencer, don’t get involved."
She said, removed his hand, and quickly walked to the ladies’ restroom with what she was hiding.
Elias Spencer only saw what seemed like a medicine box in her hand, wondering why she was being so sneaky.
She just mentioned having issues with Raymond Dawson? What issues? He had never heard her mention it before. This woman never shares anything with him!
He didn’t leave, instead waiting outside the ladies’ restroom, lighting a cigarette while waiting for her to come out. But after waiting for a while and finishing his cigarette, she still hadn’t come out.
What was she doing inside?
Did she fall into the toilet?
Summer Nolan was anxiously waiting in the restroom for five minutes. When she saw two red lines on the pregnancy test, she was stunned!
She and Elias Spencer had been together for so long, never had any contraception, and she had never been pregnant. She once doubted she’d ever be able to have children, and now, it unexpectedly happened!
Should she have this child?
The biggest enemy is not yet dealt with, she truly doesn’t have the energy to care for the child. If Ian Sterling finds out, he will certainly be very concerned.
Summer Nolan lowered her head and looked at her still flat belly, raised her hand, but paused mid-air, don’t be soft-hearted, can’t be soft-hearted.
It’s only a cell right now.
Not yet a life.
She bit down resolutely and decided to find a free time to get rid of it!!!
No one can stop her revenge!
Pulling open the bathroom door, she suddenly saw Elias Spencer standing outside, uncontrollably nervous, "Why are you standing outside the ladies’ restroom? Trying to be a creep?"
Elias Spencer ignored her words but looked at her pale face and asked, "Why do you look unwell?"
"It’s none of your business; hasn’t Attorney Spencer got a girlfriend? Go care for her." She said and walked away.
"What were you holding in your hand just now?" he followed a few steps and grabbed her arm to ask.
"Just something for women, are you bored? Don’t meddle in my affairs." Summer Nolan removed his hand and returned to her office.
Her stomach was growling.
She opened the exquisite fruit cake, stabbed it with a spoon, and stuffed a big bite into her mouth. Before she could swallow, probably because the cream was too greasy, a wave of nausea hit her!
"Ugh...ugh..." She couldn’t help but vomit into the trash bin beside her, and with nothing in her stomach, all that came out was water.
Completely out of control, she finally vomited bile and stopped after a long while, her mouth bitter, her head dizzily.
She grabbed a tissue to wipe her mouth, lowered her head, and glanced at her belly, frowning, Elias Spencer’s child really isn’t quiet at all...
It’ll definitely be as domineering and troublesome as he is.
"Knock knock—" The office door sounded. Before she could respond, it was pushed open, Elias Spencer walked in with a cup of coffee, saw her face look even paler now, and asked solemnly:
"Are you sick?"
"Cough...yes, a bit of a cold." She could only go along with his words; otherwise, she’d have no excuse to explain.
He placed the coffee in front of her, raised his hand to check her forehead; it was normal. Summer Nolan waved his hand away, "It’s not serious, drink the coffee yourself, I have no appetite and don’t want to drink it."
"Didn’t eat lunch?" Elias Spencer looked at the cake on her table and asked.
"None of your concern, just leave." She supported her forehead with a hand, and her stomach couldn’t help but growled twice: "Gurgle— gurgle—"
Listening to the clear sound of her stomach, he could tell she was still hungry, his handsome face slightly serious. He took his phone and ordered porridge and some light dishes.
"If you’re sick, eat something warm and light, why eat cake?"
Summer Nolan glanced up at him but said nothing. Feeling uncomfortable from hunger, she opened the yogurt nearby and drank it down in quick gulps, feeling much better with the sour taste.
"You go back to work, I need to deal with the contract." She said.
"I ordered porridge for you, remember to eat it later." Elias Spencer left her office.
Afternoon.
Summer Nolan successfully signed the contract with Mrs. Dawson and received a two billion attorney fee, filed a lawsuit with the court, and froze all assets of Raymond Dawson to prevent him from transferring properties.
This divorce case was actually easy to handle; Raymond Dawson’s affair had already been exposed by the media, and the evidence was readily available.
Later in the afternoon, she went to Iris Lynn’s residential area and obtained the surveillance showing Raymond Dawson visiting her yesterday and leaving her home together this morning.
It’s a sure thing that he’ll leave the marriage with nothing.
If Iris Lynn dares to falsely accuse Mrs. Dawson of intentional injury, she has their recordings, and all evidence is solid.
Summer Nolan returned to the law firm, and as soon as she stepped into her office, Raymond Dawson, usually calm, couldn’t hold back and kicked her office door open!
"Bang!!!"
Startling the employees outside.
