Run Away After Flirting: Get Lost, Mr. Attorney!
Chapter 32: Trying to Get Him Drunk to Steal Evidence?
CHAPTER 32: CHAPTER 32: TRYING TO GET HIM DRUNK TO STEAL EVIDENCE?
Elias Spencer’s hand paused slightly while combing the dog’s fur, his eyes deep... Is she really going to partner with that old fox?
He suddenly smiled.
"What are you laughing at?" Julian Rivers asked, looking at him.
"Nothing." Since she chose this path, let’s see who leaves the firm first, Elias Spencer thought, with a calm expression, continuing to brush the ungrateful wolf-dog.
Long-haired dogs are troublesome, they need to be brushed at least once a day, otherwise, dog hair would be flying all over the house, and it annoyed him to death.
Elias, however, lay on the ground looking quite satisfied, allowing himself to be brushed over and over, panting with his mouth wide open.
Beside him, there was a bag on the floor with several large clumps of dog hair.
"When you and Summer Nolan broke up, did she dump you, or did you dump her? Why do I feel there’s still some ambiguity between you two?" Julian Rivers gossipily asked again.
Elias Spencer glanced at him lightly, said nothing—continuing to brush the dog’s fur.
"You won’t even tell me? Come on, I promise I won’t tell anyone!" Seeing the reserved man not speaking, he became even more curious.
"Go play, why gossip over nothing." Elias Spencer stood up, tied the bag full of dog hair and threw it into the trash bin.
Suddenly, a phone rang on the coffee table. He picked it up to check and found it was her—
"Hello, Attorney Nolan, what’s up?" he asked indifferently upon answering.
"I’ve been here for so many days and haven’t invited everyone for a drink yet. I’ve booked a deluxe room at Twilight Bar this afternoon. Would you like to join?" Summer Nolan invited him in a friendly tone.
Is this offering a feast with ill intentions? Elias Spencer deliberately spit out two words, "Not going."
"If you don’t come, I’ll call some male models to take home and play with." If he didn’t come, how could this scene play out? Summer Nolan finished speaking and hung up.
Elias Spencer pushed up his glasses, his eyes slightly cold.
Twilight Bar.
The lights in the private room were dim, with music videos randomly playing on the screen. Summer Nolan had urged the employees several times to toast Raymond Dawson.
She had already drunk the old man into a daze.
Elias Spencer and his close friend deliberately arrived later, and when they opened the private room door, Summer Nolan, slightly tipsy, patted the seat beside her smiling,
"Attorney Spencer, come sit..."
With the posture of a siren trying to seduce a scholar.
Elias Spencer looked at her enchanting posture, paced over and sat down, crossing his long legs, leaning lazily against the sofa back, and took out a pack of cigarettes, skillfully picking one out with his mouth.
A classic black-and-gold Cartier lighter spun half a turn in his hand.
With a "click," a flame flared in the dim light, illuminating the taut arc of his jawline.
Smoke drifted over his aloof eyes, further obscuring the emotions in his pupils.
Summer Nolan’s heart skipped a few beats uncontrollably as she looked at this man exuding male hormones everywhere, damn it, am I seducing him, or is he seducing me?
I can’t let him seduce me!
She picked up a new glass, added a few ice cubes, poured him half a glass of whiskey, and handed it to him: "Why did Attorney Spencer arrive so late? Here, penalty drink..."
"You drink it yourself." He waved it off indifferently, giving no face.
Is this trying to get him drunk to steal evidence material?
The other colleagues all looked at the two of them, wanting to see if Attorney Nolan could make the aloof Attorney Spencer drink?
Attorney Spencer was not an easy one to talk to.
Summer Nolan looked at the man giving no face and smiled, then her free hand suddenly slipped into his pant pocket—
"Attorney Spencer... want a drink?" she asked again with a smile.
Even through the thin fabric, it was very sensitive. Elias Spencer immediately turned his head to look at her, his Adam’s apple rolling, displaying a sharp clavicle angle.
He glanced at the others, subtly adjusted his black suit jacket and warned in a voice only they could hear,
"It’s better if Attorney Nolan’s hand stays outside."
"Last night, when I asked you to let go, didn’t you ignore me too? Attorney Spencer... how does it feel?" she replied in a voice only they could hear.
Last night made her embarrassed, if she didn’t take this chance to deal with him today, she wouldn’t be Summer Nolan.
Elias Spencer gave her a cold look, took the glass from her hand, and downed it in one go, "Can you take it out now?"
"What’s the rush, come, drink a few more." She took the bottle and poured him another big half glass.
He glanced at the woman beside him, his eyes slightly shifted, suddenly changing his mind, and was curious to see if she would really go steal when he got drunk.
"Take your hand out, and I’ll drink." His voice was wrapped in smoky depths.
"How long did you bully me last night?" Summer Nolan’s voice dropped, looking seriously around the room, but her hands were anything but serious.
Elias Spencer’s eyes showed a trace of desire, frowning, quickly suppressing it.
He turned to look at this woman in need of discipline, suddenly tugged her arm hard, but he himself frowned in pain!
Summer Nolan couldn’t help but laugh: "Attorney Spencer arrived so late, he should punish himself with three drinks."
Elias Spencer gave her a dangerous glance, then downed three drinks.
On the other side, the quite drunk Raymond Dawson, in a daze, watched her pouring drinks for Attorney Spencer, faintly drawing a smile.
The other colleagues were shocked to see that Attorney Spencer was actually so compliant with Attorney Nolan, wondering how could they sometimes be like nemeses, and sometimes so harmonious?
"Don’t just sit there, come and toast Attorney Spencer with a few drinks." Summer Nolan withdrew her hand from his pocket and rallied the other employees, letting him go for now, focusing on the main task.
Many employees came over with drinks to toast him—
More than half an hour later, Elias Spencer leaned back on the sofa with his eyes slightly closed, appearing drunk.
On the other side, Raymond Dawson was also leaning back on the sofa, snoring in his sleep.
Summer Nolan glanced at these two men, quietly left the private room, drove directly to the law firm, on a Saturday, with no one else in the office but her.
A perfect opportunity.
She passed by Elias Spencer’s office, only glancing without searching for evidence materials, directly heading to Raymond Dawson’s office!
Getting Elias Spencer drunk was just an act for that old fox to see.
Took out the key she’d just stolen from the old fox, opened his office door, walked in, and directly booted his computer—
"It’s password protected?" Summer Nolan muttered.
While drinking with the old fox, she had probed for his and his kid’s birthdays, tried several number combinations, and eventually used the combined birthdays of him and his son to try again.
Finally got into his computer.
"Old bastard is really dumb." She chuckled lightly, pulled out the prepared USB drive, and just as it was inserted, outside, a man in a black suit walked into the law firm.
The man glanced around the empty office, seeing no one.
He went straight to his office door, his expression dark... if she entered his office, he would truly throw her out of the firm.
Raised his hand, twisted the door handle, and found it locked.
He took out his key, pushed the door open, Elias Spencer thought he’d find her presence in his office...
But her shadow wasn’t even there!
Where is she?
