Run Away After Flirting: Get Lost, Mr. Attorney!
Chapter 50: Do You Know This Counts as Rape?
CHAPTER 50: CHAPTER 50: DO YOU KNOW THIS COUNTS AS RAPE?
"There’s a lawsuit that needs Attorney Spencer—do you have time to take it?" Sean Sterling asked directly.
Elias Spencer had already heard about the lawsuit between Summit and its competitor. Leaning back in his chair, he laughed:
"Time can always be squeezed, but hasn’t Chairman Sterling always turned to Director Dawson for representation?"
"This lawsuit is very crucial for Summit. I’m afraid he won’t be able to handle it. Don’t worry, Director Dawson won’t say anything," he said.
"I’ve heard about this Summit lawsuit—it’s tough. My fee will be quite high," Elias stated bluntly.
"How much?"
"A hundred million. It’s a big fat sheep; it’d be a waste not to shear it."
Sean Sterling’s face darkened somewhat. Were he and Summer Nolan in cahoots? Why are they both charging such high fees? Director Dawson is only asking for five million!
These two are quite greedy.
Since their fees are the same, I’ll choose this man. Didn’t he defeat Summer Nolan before? He must be more capable.
"Alright, then prepare the contract, Attorney Spencer. This lawsuit cannot be lost, so please handle it with care," he said.
About ten minutes later, Summer Nolan arrived at Summit’s conference room, put down her things, walked to his side, and leaned on the conference table, smiling slyly as she asked:
"Did you take the Summit engineer lawsuit?"
Elias Spencer turned his chair, his long legs crossed as he faced her, raised an eyebrow, "What, do you want to compete with me again?"
"I’m not particularly fond of Summit’s lawsuit, so rest assured, I won’t be competing for it." She smiled innocently, saying she wouldn’t compete, but she just wanted Summit to lose embarrassingly.
Of course, she wouldn’t explicitly tell him that, so he wouldn’t be on guard.
"The fee for this lawsuit is very high. Not competing isn’t your style," Elias said, knowing her well.
Summer walked behind him, wrapped her arms around his neck, leaning close to his handsome face, while using her charm to relax his vigilance:
"I originally wanted to compete, but now I’m more interested in dealing with Veritas United downstairs... Snatching their clients and toppling that law firm would be more satisfying, wouldn’t it?"
"Be careful," Elias cautioned, believing her words, noting that this woman always liked doing risky things.
"Are you concerned for me?" she raised an eyebrow and asked.
Elias slightly turned his head, glanced at her, and shook off her hand, not answering her question—
After work in the afternoon, at the park.
Summer heard that man say Elias had been resting at home for days, hadn’t been out, and had started chewing on things.
She personally brought him to the nearby park’s large lawn to let him roam!
Elias was busy with work at home and hadn’t come out.
She discovered that once the dog was outside, suddenly his leg wasn’t lame.
Running around joyfully and quickly!
Summer crossed her arms, watched the dog running far away, and mumbled, "Is he pretending to be pitiful with me on purpose?"
"This little guy, quite the playboy..."
"Elias, don’t run too far, come back!" she called again.
Suddenly, she saw a dog of the same breed playing with Elias from afar. After sniffing each other, the two dogs started chasing and running further away.
Running further and further.
"Elias won’t be taken away by that dog, will he?"
"Whose dog is that?" Summer muttered in frustration and seeing the situation wasn’t right, quickly jogged to catch up.
But she was still wearing her professional outfit and high heels from the day, making it difficult to run.
Suddenly, she saw the dog leading Elias away, then promptly mounting him and starting a frenzied, indecent action...
Summer watched in anger, feeling her nose almost turning crooked. She certainly didn’t want to be a grandmother—taking care of one dog was tough, let alone a bunch!
As she ran over, she loudly shouted, "Whose stinky dog is this? Get it away from me!"
"Elias, get back here!"
"Elias!"
No matter how she shouted, her ’daughter’ ignored her and let the stinky dog on her back have his way—her world had come crashing down—
Finally reaching the two dogs, just as she was about to drive away the stinky dog, it bared its teeth menacingly at her; Summer dared not approach.
Scanning the surroundings angrily, she loudly asked, "Whose dog is this? No owner? Should I call someone to capture it?!"
At this time, a mature man wearing black trousers and a white shirt ran over from afar. He had handsome and gentle features, with his sleeves neatly rolled to his forearms, looking completely different from Attorney Spencer’s sharp and handsome demeanor.
He ran up to Summer, glanced at his dog riding on someone else’s dog, eyebrows slightly furrowed, and immediately apologized to the other owner,
"I’m sorry, I was on the phone just now and didn’t notice my dog..."
Summer crossed her arms, gave a cold look at this rather good-looking mature man, and angrily called him,
"Pull them apart quickly, do you know this counts as rape?!"
The man watched her, a row of black lines falling on his forehead. It was his dog riding hers, not him, how did he become the rapist?
He called, his voice slightly deepened, "Nico, come here..."
The dog atop just glanced at him and continued with its actions, completely ignoring him.
"Nico!" He called again, emphasizing his voice.
The dog still ignored him, not even looking at him this time, focusing entirely on its task—
The man felt a bit annoyed, walked over, prepared to forcefully pull it down. Though this was a bit unethical, the other dog’s mom wouldn’t agree!
But before he got close, his own dog suddenly bared its teeth and barked at him, "Woof...!"
The man was taken aback, not daring to approach and forcibly pull them apart—dogs, after all, were dogs, and intervening at this point could really lead to biting.
He looked apologetically at Summer and said:
"I’m really sorry, it won’t let me get close now, and if I forcefully drag it, it will really bite. Due to their anatomical structure down there, unless they finish naturally, they can’t be separated.
Do you... understand?"
Upon hearing his last words, Summer’s face reddened, she glanced at the dog and its owner, sneered, "Pervert!!"
"You must take responsibility for this; were you planning on a free ride?"
It was the first time he was called a pervert, slightly helpless, and he addressed her very sincerely, "You can name a price."
"Do I lack that kind of money? Go neuter your dog later." Summer said angrily.
The man’s eyebrows slightly furrowed, maintaining a controlled politeness. He had never thought about neutering his dog, depriving it of rights.
Glancing again at her dog, which was also sturdy and pretty, wearing a little white skirt, he came up with a compromise.
He offered a suggestion,
"If your dog doesn’t like mine, it wouldn’t let it do such a thing. Since they like each other, they could be formally wed. If there are puppies, my dog and I will certainly take full responsibility."
