CHAPTER 57: CHAPTER 57: YES, HE JUST CAN’T STAND HER HAVING OTHER MEN!

Arriving at the entrance of the same park as last time.

Summer Nolan had just opened the rear car door when Elias jumped out. He must have seen Nico already and immediately dashed off!

"Gosh, does he have to be such a flirt? Can’t he be a bit more reserved?" she muttered, feeling embarrassed.

Ian Sterling walked over to her and said, "See? They like each other. Don’t be the one to break them apart..."

"We’ll see about that. You better keep a close watch. This time, your dog isn’t allowed to mount my Elias." Summer was saying, as she turned her head, only to see his rascal dog sniffing Elias’s butt!

It looked eager to...

She ran over to stop him: "You perv, stop that! Do you have no shame as a dog, trying that the moment you meet?"

Ian heard her shouting and felt a little embarrassed. He touched the tip of his nose and was tempted to laugh as he walked over.

From a car a bit further away, Elias Spencer watched the harmonious scene of the two people and two dogs. His face remained cold and indifferent, with features so exquisite they were almost dazzling. Some people were just strikingly handsome.

Elias Spencer gave off that vibe, too refined for his own good.

The top three crystal buttons on his shirt were undone, and despite the intimidating aura emanating from him, the bodyguard still felt the man exuded a constant allure, brimming with masculine charm that was hard to resist.

Honestly, Young Master Spencer is clearly better looking than that Young Master Sterling. His wealth and background are superior too. If it were me, I’d definitely go for Young Master Spencer!

Just need some extra sweet-talking and coaxing, right?

"Young Master Spencer, should we make up an excuse to call Miss Nolan back?" the bodyguard asked.

"What’s the use of one call?" Elias Spencer said deeply. Call her back today, and tomorrow they’ll secretly meet again.

"Go check if Ian Sterling has any other women around him," he instructed.

"Yes," the bodyguard responded.

Meanwhile, Summer Nolan could only put a leash on the dog. As they walked and chatted, Ian Sterling seemed quite keen to know more about her family,

"Who else is in Attorney Nolan’s family?"

"My mother and my sister, who’s in college," she replied.

"Your father’s gone?" he asked again.

Summer turned to look at him, "Yes, he passed away in a car accident when I was fifteen."

"Then your mother raised you and your sister, it must have been tough. You’ve achieved a lot today, you’ve really worked hard and been diligent." Ian’s impression of her improved again.

She was different from those wealthy socialites.

She had climbed her way up step by step on her own.

"How was your relationship with your father?" Summer also probed.

"It was okay. From college onward, I rarely lived with him. He wasn’t exactly difficult to get along with; he liked talented people." He thought, his father would probably really like Summer, right?

After all, she was talented too.

Summer gave a slight smile. Suddenly, her phone rang. She glanced at the number, let the dog go, and walked away a bit before answering the call:

"Hello, what’s up?"

"Come back to change my dressing, the wound hurts," Elias Spencer suppressed his anger and called her in a deep voice. He was just on his way home now.

"Can’t you have a servant change it? I just got out, and Elias has only just started walking!" she muttered quietly.

"I’m not used to others doing it. Stop arguing and come back quickly." Elias Spencer called her in a deep voice.

"Why should I listen to you? Hmph, you bullied me last night. I already said last night I wouldn’t care anymore. Deal with it yourself." Summer, hearing his bad tone, matched it with her own.

"Then should I come find you?" His eyes narrowed. Were you out there with that wild man not wanting to come home?!

Yes, he was just annoyed that she had another man.

What did you think? You can flirt when you want and walk away when you’re done?

Summer crossed her arms. Did he think she’d be afraid if he came looking for her? Did he even know where she was? She smiled, unafraid, "Then come find me!"

Elias Spencer’s eyes darkened, and he suddenly commanded the bodyguard, "Go to Centennial Park."

"Yes, Young Master Spencer," the bodyguard replied, preparing to make a U-turn at the front corner.

He’s in the car now? And he knows where I am? Summer suddenly panicked a bit. Not wanting him to know she was with Ian, she bit her lip and quickly said softly:

"Don’t come. I’ll head back right now!"

She hung up and went over to the man, saying, "My mom twisted her ankle. I’m needed back, so no more walks today."

Ian was somewhat disappointed. He originally wanted to have dinner with her, but he still asked with concern, "Is Auntie’s injury serious? Should I go with you to check?"

"No need, I can handle it. You can keep walking your dog for a bit. Elias, let’s go home."

She said this as she tried to lead Elias away, but the dog stood firmly like he was nailed to the ground, refusing to move!

All while staring silly-eyed at that rascal dog.

"Elias!" Summer called the dog, embarrassed. Pulling harder, it still wouldn’t move, this stubborn creature—

That rascal suddenly wrapped a paw around Elias’s neck, licking the fur on his face, and barked softly at Summer: "Woof—"

"What are you barking for? This is my dog, not yours." She snorted coldly.

Ian couldn’t help but laugh at them. It seemed these two furballs were really in love and didn’t want to be apart.

"You’re laughing. Hurry and get your rascal dog away." Summer glanced at him and called.

"I’ll walk you to your car. Nico, let’s go, we’re heading back too." Ian led his dog towards the park’s exit; this time Elias moved and followed suit.

Summer watched this guy, deciding it might be best not to walk together with him in the future. As she was about to get into the car, he suddenly asked, "Attorney Nolan, can we be friends?"

He originally wanted to say he wanted to pursue her but was afraid she might be put off, given how short their acquaintance had been.

"Considering you’re quite nice, of course." She appeared expressionless, but inside she was quietly pleased.

He then took out a check and handed it over willingly: "Here’s what’s left. Since I pay per meeting, I feel a bit like a john. I hope you’re not offended."

Summer took it, raised an eyebrow, and accepted it graciously. He was voluntarily compensating her, not being forced:

"I am a bit annoyed, but since we’re friends now, I won’t hold it against you. I’m off."

-

Returning to the apartment entrance, the door was open, and as she walked in, she saw Elias Spencer sitting on the couch with a low-pressure aura.

The news was on TV, but she sensed his attention wasn’t on it.

"Elias is already sent back, I’m heading out."

Summer didn’t plan on appeasing him. Finished speaking, she was ready to leave when the man on the couch frowned slightly and suddenly said in a deep voice:

"My wound hurts."

She paused, feeling conflicted and a bit sympathetic. Elias’s stubborn streak, did he learn that from him? She pouted and asked, "Didn’t you have the servants change the bandage?"

"No." He glanced at her coldly, snorted, and spat out two words.
