CHAPTER 64: CHAPTER 64: LOOK AT HIM PUTTING ON THAT ACT FOR MOM!

"Ahem... I happened to see Attorney Spencer walking his dog outside; I played with it a bit, maybe it just likes me." Summer Nolan coughed as an excuse.

Inwardly, she was cursing that man to death. He knows Elias would get close to me, yet he doesn’t bother to lock it up. What’s he up to?

"Played with it a bit, and it likes you this much?" Mrs. Nolan was shocked by the dog’s enthusiasm.

"What can I do if it likes me?" Summer Nolan pouted.

Elias Spencer came out, glanced at Elias, who was again all over that woman, deliberately ignored it, and greeted warmly:

"Please come in and sit, Auntie."

"Sure." Mrs. Nolan responded, walked to the door, and handed him something: "I picked this for you after shopping all afternoon, don’t dismiss it, Attorney Spencer."

"I would never dismiss anything Auntie gives." He accepted the fruit basket and the high-end gift bag.

Entering the house, Mrs. Nolan glanced around; the living and dining area was much larger than their new place, one could even jog in it.

The gray and white style was modest and tough, yet did not lose grandeur and luxury.

"Attorney Spencer’s place looks rather comfortable, not like those overly lavish homes, all gold and flashy, like a KTV."

"Feel free to take a look around, Auntie." He raised his hand and showed her around each room.

"Ahem... Attorney Spencer is just used to ordering me around, still treats me like a servant in his house?"

"I got injured because of you, just wanted you to come help change my dressing. If you think that’s bossing around, then don’t bother with me." Elias Spencer said in a somewhat aggrieved, pitiful tone.

Summer Nolan’s mind struggled to keep up with the pothole he dug!

She was both angry and annoyed, why was he saying this in front of my mom?

And with such a falsely aggrieved look!

"How did Attorney Spencer get injured because of that girl? Where is the injury? Is it serious?" Mrs. Nolan immediately asked with concern.

"A few days ago, we attended a gala, and someone secretly spiked her drink. I saved her then taught the man a lesson, got revenge from that man later, and got my arm slashed.

Auntie, don’t worry, it’s not serious." Elias Spencer said.

Mrs. Nolan’s jaw dropped hearing him, what a massive favor this was!

She immediately went over and poked the girl’s head and, in rare severity, scolded:

"Attorney Spencer not only saved you, but got injured in revenge, why aren’t you treating him better? What’s with the hostility?"

"..." Summer Nolan was scolded by her mom, glaring fiercely at that man, he did it on purpose, didn’t he?

"Auntie, don’t blame her, Attorney Nolan is actually quite kind-hearted." Elias Spencer said again.

"Look how nice Attorney Spencer is, yet you always treat him as an enemy." Mrs. Nolan no longer believed her daughter always speaking ill of him.

It was clearly her prejudice.

Summer Nolan looked at that man and smiled, oh, he’s really good at acting, just you wait till I catch you slipping!

While eating, Mrs. Nolan noticed most dishes on the table were ones she liked, surprised, it must just be a coincidence?

She continuously helped Elias Spencer with dishes, treating him almost like her own son—much to Summer Nolan’s mixed emotions.

He better keep up this act.

After dinner, Summer Nolan let her mom leave first, she had to stay to change this man’s dressing!

Seeing her mom into the elevator, she pushed the man onto the sofa, straddled his legs, and angrily asked, hands pinching his neck:

"Explain to me, what exactly is your intention?"

Elias Spencer actually had no intention, just couldn’t stand Ian Sterling’s manipulations to please her mother and ingratiate himself with this woman.

Looking at this angry woman, he wrapped one hand around her slender waist, the other slightly kneading in front of her, his tone returning to its usual coolness,

"Stay away from Ian Sterling, don’t get involved with him."

Summer Nolan was pained by his grip, groaned, and angrily hit his chest, "What does it matter to you if I’m involved with him? Don’t forget, you’re just my ex-boyfriend now."

Elias Spencer domineeringly retorted, "Any woman I’ve been with, if someone else wants her, it’s up to me."

Hearing his audacious words, Summer Nolan laughed in anger, what nonsense is this? Could he be any more unreasonable?

"You mind less of my business, I’ll like whoever I want, and if you act up again, don’t blame me for destroying your relationships!"

Summer Nolan was shocked by his words, is this man crazy?!

"Crazy, I don’t have time to play this game with you, you’re not to interfere with me and Ian Sterling, understand?" she sternly warned again.

Never thought my biggest obstacle to revenge would be this man.

"Have you fallen for him? Really want to be with him?"

Elias Spencer gazed at her deeply, not speaking loudly, but every word seemed like an icy spike poised to pierce through.
