CHAPTER 74: CHAPTER 74: STILL CAN’T ESCAPE FROM HIS PALM...
"Is avoiding them all the time really going to help? Just meet up, find a few of their faults, and ruthlessly criticize them. Wouldn’t that solve the problem?"
Elias Spencer suggested, as he had business to attend to tonight and didn’t want him staying here at all.
"I’m a public officer; can I just find faults and criticize people for no reason?" How could he bring himself to do that?
Even saying no would affect his persona and image.
In previous blind dates, he rejected them, but still got pestered by the woman for several months. He couldn’t say too harsh words, which was very annoying.
This caused him to be particularly afraid of blind dates now.
"Why not find a woman to pretend to be your girlfriend?" Elias suggested, just wanting to send him off quickly.
"Who should I find? How about you pretend to be a woman?" Chase Spencer said, sitting on the sofa at his cousin’s house, looking at his exquisitely handsome cousin.
Did he think that was possible? Elias couldn’t even be bothered to respond to such a boring comment.
In the master bedroom, Summer Nolan was half-dressed while eavesdropping on the conversation outside. Why did that man’s voice sound somewhat familiar?
Did he say he’s a police officer?
After tidying up her clothes, she opened the door and walked out. Seeing the handsome man sitting on the sofa in a dignified police uniform and hat, her mouth dropped open in shock.
Isn’t that Officer Spencer who arrested me during the last raid?
Last time, he took her to the police station and deliberately told his colleagues she was involved in soliciting!
Wait a minute, these two are cousins; could it be that when that man went to the hotel last time, it was Elias who called him?
Heh, as she suspected, no one with the surname Spencer is any good.
"..." Chase was equally surprised to see Summer at his cousin’s place.
After his cousin took her away last time, Chase even called to ask, is Summer really your girlfriend?
That man even replied seriously, no.
If she’s not, why is she here?
"Are the two of you dating?" Chase raised an eyebrow at the two of them.
"Who would date him? I don’t even like him." Summer crossed her arms, scoffing coldly. He even thought about tying me up to bully me earlier.
Only a dog would like him!
"Then what are you doing at his place?" Chase stood up, using his habitual criminal interrogation tone.
The two of them looked like a couple. His cousin would allow just anyone to stay over?
Summer’s eyes shifted, then she deliberately said to him,
"He kidnapped me, and he just tried to tie me up. There’s rope on the bed. As a police officer, shouldn’t you arrest him?"
Chase glanced at his cousin, could such a thing really be happening?
That couldn’t be right; his cousin was always very proper. What would be the point of tying her up?
"Were you out soliciting again?" He raised an eyebrow, looking at the notorious lawyer with a record.
Elias almost couldn’t contain his laughter at his cousin’s words—hmm, his reasoning is quite thorough; that’s exactly the way to think.
Summer ground her teeth, nearly bursting a vein. Damn it, instead of arresting his cousin, he’s questioning me about going out soliciting?
"Are you covering for your cousin? Do you want me to report you?" Ugh, people with the surname Spencer are just no good.
"I’m not covering for anyone. Miss Nolan, you should know, as a lawyer, that when someone suddenly does something, there’s always a reason. Elias isn’t a madman; why would he tie you up for no reason?
Can Miss Nolan please tell me what his reason for tying you up is?" Chase said righteously, standing up for his cousin.
Summer immediately frowned. Could she say she tied him up first?
Instead of getting him to the station, she might be the one taken away—
Last time, the solicitation was embarrassing enough. If she goes again for tying him up, how could she live with herself?
"Why is Miss Nolan silent? Do you want me to answer for you?" Elias clasped his hands behind him, smirking as he asked.
Summer glared at him fiercely, crossing her arms and huffing coldly, "Just take it as me joking."
"How could it just be a joke? It’s better to clarify this matter." Chase enjoyed the gossip; the two of them were amusing.
Summer felt as if these two Spencers were ganging up on her. Annoyed, she laughed and asked,
"Are you so eager to know if we’re playing games? Do you want to watch a live broadcast, Officer?"
"Please be serious, Miss Nolan. I’m just doing my duty with a routine inquiry."
Chase said earnestly. Summer looked at his uniform, pursing her lips, not afraid of him but fearful of that uniform.
Her eyes shifted again, and she suddenly spoke with a pitiful tone,
"Since Officer Spencer is so keen to know, then let me tell you. Last time I went to the nightclub to find a male model, it was entirely because... Elias... he’s not good in that aspect...
This time he tied me up because he’s not good and still wanted to play perverted games with me."
Chase looked at his cousin in shock, examining him up and down. Not good in that way? He looked so strong and capable, yet...
Could it be true?
Wouldn’t Uncle and Aunt panic if they found out?
Elias squinted his icy eyes; she actually claimed in front of another man that he wasn’t good? He took a few steps toward her,
"Come here, let’s have a ’good talk.’"
Summer saw him coming over with a sinister air, and like avoiding a ghost, she immediately darted behind Officer Spencer, "There’s a police officer here, don’t try anything funny."
"What are you hiding for? I’m not going to eat you; come over." Elias approached to grab her, while Summer skillfully dodged around the police officer, humming:
"I’m not stupid; why would I believe you?"
Chase was dizzy from being stuck in the middle of the two, but seeing his cousin, usually calm even when the sky falls, lose his cool for the first time made him want to laugh a little.
He advised,
"Let it be; it’s not her fault. If there’s a problem, treat it. I know a good traditional Chinese medicine doctor. I’ll give you his number later.
Don’t worry, I won’t breathe a word of this to anyone."
Summer almost burst out laughing at his words—
"Who’s not good? How about you come and try yourself?!" Elias got even angrier at his cousin’s words.
"Alright, alright, you’re good, you’re very good, I believe you." Chase fully understood his embarrassment; stimulating him now was not the right move, so he just had to pacify him.
Elias coldly looked at him and asked, "Aren’t you leaving yet?"
"Didn’t I say I’d stay the night?"
"Tonight is inconvenient, hurry up and go." He said in a deep voice, pushing the man out the door, closing it, and bolting it.
Summer watched the sinister-looking man walking toward her, gulped involuntarily, and smiled at him again,
"I was just joking earlier. Actually, you’re really good in that aspect—do you want me to spread the word for you?"
Elias, full of imposing aura, went over to grab her arm, pulling her into the master bedroom. This time, he more swiftly stripped her clothes, tying her spread-eagle to the bed.
Wasn’t that exactly how she tied him up?
"Bastard, I’m not finished with you! I’m giving you one chance to untie me right now, do you hear?"
"Elias!"
"Do you believe I’ll skin you alive?"
Summer blushed, shouting in shame and frustration. Although he left her wearing a pair of white lace panties, being tied up like this was still awkward.
