Saint Seiya: The Multiverse Libra Gold Saint
Chapter 18 18: SS 18: Teaching King
"Does he really have potential?"
Saitama eyed King skeptically.
"Probably."
Kaiser felt King could resonate with Cosmo.
Even if he didn't reach the Seventh Sense, the Sixth Sense alone would surpass Dragon-level strength in this world.
The peak Sixth Sense wasn't weak.
Capable of moving at dozens, even hundreds, of times the speed of sound.
A single punch could obliterate mountains.
With the right techniques, his strength would still be formidable.
In the Sanctuary, Saint trainees who maximized their five senses reached superhuman levels.
At least pushing their physical limits to humanity's peak.
"Our deal is set, then."
"Stick with me for now."
"It'll involve real combat."
"But I won't let you die."
Kaiser said to King.
"Understood, Teacher!"
King's attitude was earnest.
His life was on the line; he had to be serious.
Hum!
Kaiser closed his eyes, using his Cosmo as a foundation.
He condensed a Cosmo seed.
Worlds had different rules.
Though summoned as a Heroic Spirit, his power was recognized by this world's will.
But this world lacked a Cosmo foundation.
So, he had to serve as the cornerstone.
Whether this seed would take root depended on King's effort.
The golden Cosmo seed sank into King's brow.
Hum!
Golden light enveloped King's body.
Cosmo began to temper his physique.
"What kind of power is this?"
Saitama watched Kaiser curiously.
Not out of envy for Cosmo's strength.
Just that it looked cool!
Those golden effects outshone his punches.
"My power doesn't suit you."
"Your existence is an anomaly. No supernatural force can linger in your body."
"You've sacrificed all supernatural potential for an unmatched physique."
From his time with Saitama, Kaiser had grasped his power system.
Purely physical strength.
Immensely powerful.
Under this world's will, Saitama's body was nigh invulnerable to all forces.
In this world, his physique was indisputably supreme.
Even Kaiser's Gold Saint body, capable of light-speed movement, couldn't match it.
"Alright."
Saitama was briefly disappointed but quickly forgot it.
Kaiser observed King.
The world luck cloaking King began shifting toward Kaiser.
"The deal's done?"
"How far can King's luck push me?"
Recalling the Pacific Rim world, Kaiser tempered his expectations.
The Saint Seiya world's power level was too high.
Advancing wasn't simple.
The Cosmo baptism didn't last long.
Three hours later, King awoke from his trance.
Whoosh!
King's eyes snapped open.
"This power!"
"I have this kind of strength!"
"It's incredible!"
King's face brimmed with excitement.
Awakening from the trance, his Cosmo-tempered body felt boundless power.
As if one punch could shatter the heavens.
"That's just the illusion of newfound strength."
"You're still far from S-Rank."
"B-Rank at best."
Kaiser's words froze King's excitement.
"Oh, really?"
King scratched his head awkwardly.
He'd thought the deal was a quick fix.
"For the next while, I'll train you intensively."
"To unlock the power I've passed to you."
"Aiming for S-Rank, or beyond."
King swallowed hard at Kaiser's serious expression.
"Danger!"
King felt like he was staring at his doom.
Boom!
A loud crash outside interrupted them.
"What's that?"
"A monster?"
Saitama poked his head out curiously.
"Ugh, so many mosquitoes…"
Seeing the swarm of black mosquitoes, Saitama grimaced, a rare look of disgust.
The buzzing always disturbed his sleep.
It annoyed him.
"Someone's fighting."
"Let's go. Your first real combat starts now."
Kaiser patted King's shoulder.
The three headed downstairs.
"Maximum power output!"
Genos targeted Mosquito Girl in the sky.
His onboard weapons roared at full capacity.
A massive flame beam surged forth.
The searing heat warped the surrounding air.
"Such a strong guy."
"Too bad he's a cyborg. Useless to me."
Mosquito Girl's face showed regret.
The flames faded, but she was unscathed.
Whoosh!
A black blur sliced through the air.
Before Genos could react, his body was severed.
If not for his cyborg nature, he'd have died countless times.
"King, I'll teach you the basics of Cosmo."
"Cosmo is about unlocking your body's potential."
"First, the five senses."
"To grasp Cosmo and awaken the Sixth Sense, you must train your five senses to their limits."
Amid Genos' bewildered expression, the trio stepped onto the battlefield.
"That's…?"
"King?"
Genos' pupils contracted upon seeing King.
Hero Association S-Rank 7.
The so-called strongest man on Earth.
He knew of him.
But their positioning suggested King was the least significant among them.
"Could he be King's teacher?"
"To mentor someone like King…"
"How strong must this man be?"
Genos stared at Kaiser's back, eyes burning with curiosity.
"Well, well, three more strapping guys."
Mosquito Girl's gaze swept over Kaiser, Saitama, and King, gleaming with greed.
"Your body has been baptized by the Cosmo seed, but without training, you can't control its power."
"This one's a perfect sparring partner."
Kaiser stepped before Mosquito Girl.
Her eyes froze.
She hadn't seen him move.
The next moment, a finger pressed against her forehead.
The shadow of death loomed over her.
"I say, you do. Understood?"
Kaiser's voice was soft.
But to Mosquito Girl, it thundered.
"I… I understand…"
Cold sweat drenched her, no thought of resistance.
