CHAPTER 1082: SIDE STORY (3)
Cheryl looked at Peter hesitantly.
Meanwhile, Peter stared at her hand that was typing the message, his eyes darting unpredictably.
Actually, he shouldn’t have let Mia be trapped between them.
He himself wouldn’t like others, but Mia was still young and sensitive. Perhaps other boys would pursue her and help her walk out of this?
Yes, Peter understood Mia’s feelings for him.
However, the thoughts between the two of them couldn’t be told to outsiders, so neither of them revealed their feelings.
It was impossible for them to be together... In that case, he should let Mia escape first.
Peter lowered his head and suddenly said, "I’ll help you."
Cheryl: "??"
Cheryl was stunned. Beside her, Alexander looked like he had seen a ghost. "Your domineering brother has finally thought it through?"
Peter took a deep breath. "My sisters will get married sooner or later. I can’t possibly stop them for the rest of my life, else we’ll become enemies!"
Cheryl smiled smugly.
Alexander glared at her. "What are you smiling for? Let me tell you, even if your brother Pete relented, I won’t. I don’t have as much sibling bonding with Mia, so it’s fine. But you... if you want to find a partner in the future, remember to report it to me first!"
Cheryl rolled her eyes. "Then you’ll investigate all his ancestors?"
Alexander sneered and didn’t speak.
An hour later.
In Peter’s study, there was an information file about that senior on his computer. It wasn’t exaggerated to the point of investigating his ancestors from when they were 18 years old, but he had found out which kindergarten that senior went to and even which hospital he went to for a circumcision.
Peter: "..."
His assistant was still taking credit. "Mr. Hunt, I’ve checked thoroughly, right?"
"...That’s thorough enough."
Peter rubbed his temples.
Looking at this information, he seemed to have no more excuses to stop her.
The other party’s physical and mental health was outstanding in all aspects. He didn’t have any bad habits. Although his family background wasn’t as good as the Smiths, there weren’t many families who could compare to the Smiths now.
This boy was really not bad.
Even if he brought it to Joel, he wouldn’t be able to pick out any faults.
In that case...
Peter suddenly picked up the pen beside him, took out a piece of paper, and wrote on it:
The flower that Mia likes: Hibiscus.
The scent that Mia likes: Orange.
The color that Mia likes: white.
Mia’s preferences: Light cuisine and soup.
...
As he wrote, he looked at the page and was suddenly stunned.
It turned out that he knew Mia very well without even realizing it.
Peter lowered his eyes.
The office door suddenly opened and Cheryl walked in. "Brother, are you done? The guy is urging me again."
Peter looked at the piece of paper in his hand and pursed his lips.
He raised the paper and handed it to Cheryl.
Cheryl took it and was about to leave when she realized that the paper wouldn’t move.
Only then did she look up hesitantly and see that Peter’s grip on the paper hadn’t loosened.
Cheryl hesitated for a moment. "Brother Pete? What’s wrong?"
Peter paused.
His jaw tightened and he suddenly let go.
The moment his fingers relaxed, the paper was taken away by Cheryl.
He felt that his heart seemed to have floated away with the paper... and was now empty.
"Brother, I’ll get going."
Cheryl probed again.
Peter retracted his expression and looked up. "Okay, go."
