Chapter 1084: Side Story (5)
Mia didn’t know that Peter was observing the situation with binoculars not far away.
He only saw that Mia didn’t look very energetic when she first walked in. It was obvious that she had been forcefully dragged over to eat with her roommates.
Peter even chuckled at that time.
Even when Mia was pushed to sit in that empty seat, she didn’t realize anything and was in a daze. Peter still felt that Mia might really be uninterested in that senior.
However, when the food was served, Mia seemed to suddenly come to a realization and looked excited.
She looked at the kitchen door with a burning gaze…
The smile on Peter’s face slowly faded…
She was looking forward to seeing the senior who made her chicken soup with crispy bamboo shoots, right?
As Peter thought of this, his fingers tightened around the binoculars, and his heart suddenly seemed heavy.
He lowered his eyes and took two steps back.
Mia didn’t realize that there was now a misunderstanding between them.
She was still staring at the entrance of the kitchen. Sure enough, after a while, she saw a man in white sportswear walking out.
However, Mia’s gaze paused when she saw him.
Wasn’t this her senior?
Why was he here?
Oh, right, this was a gathering of the seniors… It was only right that he was here.
But…
Mia’s gaze landed on the chicken soup again.
Perhaps sensing her gaze, the senior walked over. The gentle and sunny boy pulled the chair beside her and sat down. He smiled and said, “I learned this chicken soup from our chef and specially made it for you to try. Mia, do you like it?”
Mia was a little confused. After he finished speaking, she could only take two bites soullessly as if she was chewing wax.
It was indeed different from last time.
The oil on the chicken soup was probably not cooked well, so it tasted a little greasy.
But she nodded politely and said, “It’s quite delicious.”
“I’m glad you like it.” The senior breathed a sigh of relief.
The few roommates beside her immediately began to chuckle and tease her.
Mia still didn’t care.
She had already explained it clearly to her senior, but the students in the school didn’t understand and still teased them, so she couldn’t be bothered to explain.
After the meal, Mia still felt that the crispy bamboo shoot chicken soup was a coincidence.
After dinner, the group of people discussed going to the school field to sit for a while and chat.
Only then did Mia vaguely sense something.
Then, after she walked over, she saw that the field was covered in large patches of hibiscus flowers. There were even orange-flavored candles lined up in a heart shape. The candles were all lit.
It was getting dark.
Mia’s heart turned cold when she saw this.
She finally understood something and looked up suddenly. Sure enough, she saw her senior walking slowly to her amidst everyone’s cheers. “Mia, I like you. Please date me!”
Mia was stunned.
Hibiscus…
Orange flavor…
White…
And chicken soup with crispy bamboo shoots…
Only Brother Pete knew about her likes and dislikes.
So this was all done with Brother Pete’s help?
Did he want her to say yes to the senior?
This thought made Mia’s hands and feet go numb.
Brother Pete must have felt that her crush on him had caused trouble in their relationship, right?
