CHAPTER 355: CHAPTER 355: NO MATCH FOR THE PERILS OF THE HUMAN HEART
Shen Technology.
In the office of Secretary Jiang, everyone was reporting on their work.
Secretary Jiang pointed to one of the companies and said, "About this company, it would be best to arrange for someone to go and conduct an on-site inspection." Although it was a newly established company, it was currently the one they were most optimistic about.
"We’ve already sent someone," Chen Rong replied hurriedly.
"That’s good," nodded Secretary Jiang. He then thought of something, lifted his head, glanced outside through the blinds, and asked, "Who went?"
"Just... the new intern at the company."
Secretary Jiang stopped what he was doing and looked at the other party.
There were only two interns in the secretarial department and, coupled with what the other party had said intentionally or unintentionally in front of him earlier, Secretary Jiang almost immediately guessed who it was.
"Didn’t you say the other day, Secretary Jiang, that all employees should work together? I saw that she wasn’t busy, so I arranged for her to follow up with this company," Chen Rong answered somewhat nervously.
Arranging for Shen Weiyi to go on a business trip alone, she had revenge in mind, originally thinking that it was such a minor matter that the other party wouldn’t intervene.
But Secretary Jiang’s reaction made her feel somewhat uneasy.
"Just her alone?"
It was such a major matter and that esteemed young lady hadn’t even mentioned it to him. If Mr. Shen found out...
Thinking along these lines, Secretary Jiang felt a headache coming on.
City H was thousands of kilometers away from City C, and most importantly, that girl was traveling alone, and to such a distant place. If something happened, the entire secretarial office could be in big trouble.
"Yes, yes!" Chen Rong answered, steeling herself.
"This is simply outrageous!"
Secretary Jiang’s face looked very displeased: "I remember the company has explicit regulations that interns should not be sent on business trips alone during their internship."
The latter replied stiffly, "She said herself that it was no problem for her to go alone..."
"Are you questioning the company’s regulations?" Secretary Jiang was usually mild-mannered and rarely got angry.
But now, he was clearly upset.
She knew what she did didn’t adhere to company regulations, but there were several partners to inspect this time. She arranged for Shen Weiyi to visit a less important, newly established company, thinking that Secretary Jiang wouldn’t inquire about it.
From the first day that Shen Technology was established, Secretary Jiang had been by Shen Juanzhi’s side. Over the years, he had seen Shen Technology grow bit by bit to its current scale. What person or thing hadn’t he seen?
His keen eyes naturally didn’t miss the other party’s little schemes, but he hadn’t intervened immediately since that girl didn’t bring it up, perhaps thinking she could handle it on her own.
After all, these intrigues in the workplace had to be experienced for one to grow. Besides, the nature of the other party wasn’t to endure silently, and it being their own company, he wasn’t worried she would be at a disadvantage.
It was just that he hadn’t expected that girl to be assigned a business trip.
If she were going to learn with an experienced colleague, it wouldn’t be a problem, but she was a complete newcomer, not yet exposed to the complexities of the workplace. No matter how clever she was, it wouldn’t stand up to the malice of human hearts.
A girl traveling so far for a business trip might inevitably face disadvantages.
Secretary Jiang spoke sternly: "If I were you, I’d rush over there right now and join her. Mr. Shen highly values this cooperation case, and if you mess it up for personal reasons, you don’t need to come back to work either!"
Chen Rong’s face turned pale involuntarily, and she hastily took out her cellphone, saying, "I’ll book a ticket right now."
