"Maybe they’re just busy!" Father Walyon tried to explain on behalf of his son and daughter-in-law.

"Busy with what? What could they possibly have to do?" Diana Wood was unimpressed by his words.

She spoke quite bluntly, believing that Adrian and Summer simply wanted to spend time alone in their small home.

"Come on, they’re married. Let Adrian do as he pleases!" Men, unlike women, don’t bother with such matters, Father Walyon said indifferently.

Jimmy Evans happened to be coming down from upstairs just as the conversation reached this point, and he paused in his steps.

It seemed that since that night, Adrian and Summer really hadn’t returned.

Were they living their couple’s life in Sutton Gardens?

Had she fallen for him?

Adrian’s life after marriage was pretty much like this every day with Summer.

The two did whatever they wanted, without worrying about anyone disturbing them in their cozy home.

Summer was busy with Ariella Sawyer’s affairs for the next few days.

Taking advantage of the new things she had learned recently from the teacher Adrian invited, she occasionally helped Ariella by recording short videos for promotion, giving herself some practice.

Summer was always very motivated with work, sometimes returning home quite late at night.

Adrian was also busy today; at eight in the evening, he had an appointment with a film party to discuss investment matters.

Adrian originally thought only the responsible party would come, but to his surprise, there was also a female star, Selena Sterling, at the restaurant.

The entertainment industry is full of various underlying rules.

Adrian just considered Selena as an accompaniment to the film party and didn’t pay much attention.

"Young Master Walyon, I’m Selena Sterling, and I’m in this production. I hope you can watch over us!" Upon seeing him enter, Selena stood up and introduced herself.

Adrian ignored her, pretending she was invisible, and started conversing with the film party, "Who are the cast members in this film?"

"We’ve hired numerous trending stars, from the male lead, female lead, to the second female and third female roles, all are popular." The film party replied.

They continued discussing several other matters.

Midway, Summer called.

"I’ll take this call." Adrian stood up, walked to the side with his phone, "What’s up?"

"I’m with Ariella, lots going on tonight, might not be able to finish by eleven, just letting you know." Summer said.

"Alright, call me when you’re done, I’ll come to pick you up." Adrian said.

At the table, Selena was intently watching his back, catching sight of the film party member beside her, giving them a subtle glance.

The responsible person gestured approval, and Selena tremblingly took Adrian’s wine glass, sprinkling something unknown into it, then placing it back.

She sat straight, pretending everything was normal, quietly waiting for Adrian.

Adrian and Summer’s phone conversation lasted for a few minutes before ending.

Returning to his seat, he resumed the conversation with the film party person, "Where were we?"

"Discussing the film’s selling points." the person replied.

"Continue." Adrian calmly said, holding up the wine glass, wanting to drink but refraining for reasons unknown.

Selena stared blankly at him, her gaze fixed on the glass in his hand, her heart racing.

She didn’t want to resort to such a clumsy method.
