CHAPTER 208: CHAPTER 208: FEEL THE HEAVY LOVE OF GRANDPA

He threw out a sentence to the person, then hung up the phone.

The person on the other end of the call listened blankly to the disconnect tone, their head buzzing.

Is he planning to shut everything down?

How did things turn out this way?

...

After leaving the company, Adrian Walyon drove around the street casually.

As he passed by a flower shop, he stopped the car.

He didn’t really know how to cheer a woman up, but after some thought, he figured flowers should be reliable.

All women like flowers, right?

"Sir, would you like to buy some flowers? What kind do you prefer?" The shop clerk greeted him eagerly.

Adrian had no idea what kind of flowers Summer Sutton liked.

Not knowing which ones to choose, he glanced around the room full of flowers and made a straightforward decision, "Wrap all of these flowers for me!"

The clerk stared at him blankly, unsure of what she heard, "All of the flowers?"

"Is there a problem?" Adrian shot her a sidelong glance and retorted.

"No, no problem, I’ll get right to it!" The clerk shook her head vigorously and headed inside hurriedly to wrap the flowers.

It takes quite a bit of time to pack flowers from an entire shop.

While wrapping the flowers, the clerk couldn’t help but peek at Adrian standing outside.

Adrian was already strikingly handsome, standing outside the shop like a beautiful scenic view.

Such a good-looking man, I wonder which lucky lady will receive so many flowers from him?

After spending a good amount of time packing the flowers, Adrian’s car couldn’t fit them, so he had them delivered to his home directly.

He returned home quite late, and by the time he got there, Summer Sutton was already having dinner without waiting for him.

Seeing him return, she didn’t acknowledge him, continuing to focus solely on her meal.

Tick, tock!

The doorbell rang just minutes after Adrian came back.

Summer Sutton got up and walked towards the garden to open the door.

Once opened, she was instantly stunned.

Outside stood several workers from the flower shop, behind them was a truck full of beautifully wrapped flowers, filled to the brim, not fitting in a small car, hence using a truck.

There were all kinds of varieties, with a richness comparable to a flower shop.

"Miss Summer Sutton? These are for you!" One worker stepped forward, handing over the huge bundle of flowers to her.

Summer Sutton accepted them blankly, somewhat struggling to grasp the situation.

"Miss Sutton, there are few of us, so we could use your help moving them!" The delivery worker stuffed more bouquets into her arms.

When Summer stepped back inside, her hands were weighed down, her face completely overshadowed by flowers, almost unable to hold them.

Adrian watched as she walked in but didn’t lend a hand; he let her move everything herself.

"Did you have them delivered?" Summer Sutton asked as she passed by him, turning her head.

"Who else would?" Adrian retorted.

Who else would dare send flowers to his house?

"Why’d you buy so many?" Summer Sutton complained a little.

Fresh flowers only last a few days before they wilt and all have to be thrown away; it’s so wasteful.

Adrian’s gaze shot sideways at her, and he deadpanned, "So you can feel the weight of my love!"

His tone lingered a bit, leaving Summer Sutton stunned and unsure if he was joking or serious.

"There’s still a lot outside, take your time moving them!" He tossed her a sentence and boldly sat down.

Summer Sutton had no choice, since they were already bought, she could only bring them all inside.

A truck full of flowers required her to shuttle back and forth more than thirty times, eventually exhausting her hands and legs.

This gift, indeed, is quite weighty!
