CHAPTER 231: CHAPTER 231: MISS SUTTON FACES DISCRIMINATION
"It’s alright, I wasn’t really hurt." Summer Sutton stood up, brushed off the wrinkles on her clothes, picked up the discarded lunch from the ground, tossed it into the trash can, and was about to leave.
The woman behind her called out to her.
"How about I make it up to you with a lunch?" She smiled warmly at Summer Sutton.
Before Summer Sutton could respond, she had already headed to a nearby restaurant.
"What do you like to eat?" She turned her head slightly to look at Summer Sutton and asked.
Summer Sutton had no intention of letting her compensate, "No need, ma’am."
"It’s something I should do." The middle-aged woman paid her no mind and took the liberty of helping her order the meal.
For Summer Sutton, she ordered delivery: a portion of meatball soup, a cup of passion fruit juice, pan-fried ribbonfish, boiled squid, boiled greens, and boiled shrimp.
She handed the packed meal to Summer Sutton and then got into her car.
As the car drove away, she couldn’t help but turn her head to glance back at Summer Sutton.
Summer Sutton didn’t linger at the scene and headed back to the Walyon Clan Tower with the takeout.
When she arrived at Adrian Walyon’s office, Adrian was waiting for her to have lunch.
The lunch Summer Sutton brought up had only one serving. Although there were quite a few dishes, the woman probably thought it was just for Summer, so she ordered a single serving.
Adrian Walyon watched her set out the lunch and felt like she was tormenting him.
Though he usually didn’t eat much, he was still a tall man standing at six-foot-two; he needed a full meal to maintain his energy.
Rubbing his temples with his fingertips, Adrian Walyon stared at her lunch for quite a while, frowning, "Summer, are you sure this won’t be too little?"
"It won’t be. You don’t eat much anyway." Summer Sutton felt totally unconcerned.
Adrian Walyon’s handsome face slightly stiffened.
After staring at her for a few seconds, he murmured ominously, "Not enough to eat, how about eating you to make up?"
When he shamelessly got started, he was unbeatable.
They were still in the office, talking seriously about lunch one moment, and the next moment, things took a turn.
Summer Sutton was dumbstruck for quite a while, face flushed; she picked up her phone and ordered another delivery, "I’ll order another serving for you!"
Adrian Walyon was satisfied with her efficiency and sat next to her, munching on the lunch she brought back.
Today’s lunch for Summer Sutton was incredibly light, all the dishes selected by that woman, yet surprisingly suited her taste.
Every item could be said to cater to Summer Sutton’s preferences.
Summer Sutton enjoyed a very satisfying lunch.
In the evening, before she finished work, she received a call from Ariella Sawyer asking her to join a KTV outing.
Summer Sutton rarely joined them for such outings, so she didn’t hesitate and accepted the invitation.
Just as she was ready to leave, she was stopped by Adrian Walyon, "What’s a married lady doing going to a KTV?"
Summer Sutton felt severely discriminated against.
Since when couldn’t someone married go to a KTV?
Besides, she had just turned twenty; she felt the term ’lady’ was more appropriate for those over thirty.
"Those places are chaotic, don’t go!" Adrian Walyon issued a direct ban.
"We’ll be in a private room." Summer Sutton understood what he was worried about, so she reassured him.
"Still can’t go." Adrian Walyon’s attitude was very firm.
Summer Sutton had already agreed with Ariella; wouldn’t it be disappointing not to go?
"How about you come along?" She suggested, glancing at him.
Adrian Walyon’s nature was cold; any place too noisy wasn’t suitable for him.
After considering Summer Sutton’s suggestion, he reluctantly agreed.
