CHAPTER 232: CHAPTER 232: BE QUIET, I WILL LOVE YOU MORE
Just like that, Adrian accompanied Summer Sutton out the door.
But once there, he realized this was his most regrettable decision of the night.
Too loud, too chaotic, and most importantly, Summer Sutton’s singing was like a ghost’s wailing, torturing his ears.
Adrian sat with a stoic expression in the private room, his ears suffering greatly.
Ariella Sawyer didn’t sing any better, much like Summer Sutton; neither of them understood rhythm, it was all ghostly howls.
Ariella, it’s understandable; her voice is naturally lower than most girls, so singing badly was no surprise.
But Summer Sutton was different.
Summer Sutton had the kind of voice that could attract someone, soft and alluring.
Adrian never imagined her singing would have such a stark contrast.
Adrian glanced sideways at Summer Sutton, looking at her with a particularly complex expression.
Summer Sutton seemed completely oblivious to her off-key issues, having fun with Ariella.
After a couple of drinks, perhaps feeling a bit tipsy, the two suddenly started hitting the high notes.
Adrian felt utterly embarrassed, almost getting up to toss them straight into the car.
Summer Sutton was singing an English song titled "Have You Fallen In Love With Me Tonight."
Adrian pinched the bridge of his nose continuously, overwhelmed by her off-key singing, unable to resist interrupting her.
"Babe, if you put down the microphone right now, I’ll love you even more!" His words were half-joking, half-serious.
He was definitely disliking her terrible singing.
Summer Sutton, slightly drunk, stupidly stared at him for a while before giggling at him, "Your affection lacks sincerity, love means loving someone wholly."
Adrian’s eyes twitched slightly.
Was she asking him to even accept her ghostly wails tonight?
Summer Sutton ignored him, turning her head back to continue her singing.
Ariella had already downed several drinks and went out for some air.
The private room was temporarily left with just Summer Sutton and Adrian.
Once Ariella’s figure disappeared, Adrian immediately locked the door.
He pulled Summer Sutton onto his lap, wrapping his arms around her, trying to persuade her, "Singing isn’t fun, let’s quietly do something else."
Basically, he was saying Summer Sutton was too noisy.
Summer Sutton frowned slightly, pouting, "But I like it!"
"I can make you like doing something else too!" Adrian chuckled coldly.
Summer Sutton didn’t quite catch his meaning.
"Does your head hurt?" Adrian didn’t explain, instead helping her rub her temples, concerned.
Summer Sutton nodded and shook her head.
Just a little.
Adrian understood her, continuing to persuade her, "It’s too noisy here, why don’t we go back?"
Summer Sutton was invited out by Ariella tonight, coming out to gather.
She felt it wouldn’t be right to leave before the party ended.
"No." Breaking free from Adrian’s embrace, she grabbed the microphone, ready to continue.
"Summer, Unity hasn’t been fed yet!" Adrian feared she’d start singing without stopping, quickly interrupting.
Summer Sutton paused, seemingly pondering.
"Let’s go back!" Adrian didn’t care anymore, pulling her out of the private room quickly.
He wasn’t genuinely worried about Unity being hungry—it was just a convenient excuse.
Adrian’s strides were fast, fearing Summer Sutton might change her mind and refuse to leave; after a few steps, he simply picked her up.
His urgency was obvious to everyone.
